Boys Noize shares new video for 'Starchild' from upcoming LP

Just a few weeks ago, Boys Noize revealed a new original work, “Starchild,” alongside synth-pop production outfit Poliça. At the time, no official word had been given regarding Ridha’s output so far in 2016, but we’ve since confirmed that BNR‘s head-honcho will deliver his fourth studio record, Mayday, next month. Now there’s another piece to add to the puzzle as Boys Noize has shared the new video for “Starchild.” Poliça’s Channy Leaneagh stars in the track’s visual element, which proves to be every bit as alluring as the music it accompanies.

The video’s narrative follows a fallen alien, who’s landed in South Beach, Miami drawing strong parallels from the 2015 performance art film piece, American Reflexxx. Wandering through strange and unfamiliar territory, the video candidly captures Leaneagh’s interactions and experience to the score of Ridha’s cerebral percussion arrangements and Poliça’s mesmerizing vocal work. Shot and directed by Lil Internet, another one of the collaborators on Mayday, Boys Noize and company offer a brilliantly creative video concept as a companion to an already standout production.
