Australia’s dance music scene is undergoing major changes amid the country’s newly approved “lock-out laws” and the closure of the Stereosonic music festival series. Next up for cancellation are two of Armin van Buuren’s tour dates, which were set for June in Sydney and Melbourne.
Totem Onelove, the Australian electronic music company that was acquired by SFX Entertainment in 2013, regrets to confirm that the Dutch DJ’s 2016/2017 world tour, “Armin Only: Embrace,” will no longer be making stops to the land down under.
Though a full refund will be issued to ticket holders, this cancellation only further confirms the crumble of Australia’s dance music sphere and inevitable fall of SFX, with the country’s nightclub industry “set to fall” this year.
All other “Armin Only: Embrace” scheduled tour dates remain in effect.
