Lil Nas X is currently sitting pretty high with the No. 1 song in the United States right about now, and it was winding saga full roadblocks that led the Atlanta-area artist to such fame. Nevertheless, he’s keeping his eye on the prize, working to dismantle the barriers genre as we know it. Now his removal from the Top Country Songs charts proved that the goal may not be too close to the horizon, but the battle continues.
With his latest social media play, Lil Nas has now teased a new song, potentially slated to disrupt the Rock genre next as Nas pens, “Y’all think they gone let me on the rock charts?” in a caption under a 30-second clip his latest track, laced with pop and rock sounds.
Once again, Nas is posted up in a bathroom, lip-syncing to his creation, his preferred mode delivery for everything he’s got in the vault.
Where “Old Town Road” earned the cosign Billy Ray Cyrus, the new track, tentatively titled “Bring U Down” is apparently a collaboration between Lil Nas X and Ryan Tedder One Republic.
“It’s from the perspective people who try to ruin other ppls career when they see them on the rise,” Lil Nas wrote the track in a response to a fan.
Sound f with your thoughts down below. Could “Bring U Down” match the success “Old Town Road?”

Beyoncé unleashed her Netflix documentary Homecoming this week, along with a live album titled Homecoming: The Live Album, where exactly 40 tracks live.
Homecoming follows Queen Bey days leading up to her electrifying performance at the 2018 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California.
After the R&B superstar’s doc made its debut, reports began to circulate that Ariana Grande got paid double the amount of money for her Coachella performance.

Dave East Doesn’t Like “Old Town Road”
Dave East thinks Lil Nas X‘s viral Billboard hit “Old Town Road” is “wack.” He shared his criticism of the catchy, breakout tune on Instagram this week.
“I don’t know what the fuck is going on with Hip Hop; with rap [and] I ain’t no hater but that shit is wack. With a cape on it! And super wack!” East said.
The Harlem rhymer may think “Old Town Road” is wack, but Twitter seemed to share those same feelings about his music and proceeded to drag him.
The young artist responded to East with a soundbite from Joe Rogan’s podcast featuring Kevin Hart.
“What’s cool is being negative,” Hart said in the clip Lil Nas posted to his Twitter. “This is a great example…we talk about Titanic. Titanic, one of the biggest movies of all-time, fuckin’ great movie, (acting as Joe) yes it was a great movie, and one guy for no reason goes ‘I fuckin’ hated it!’”

Russell Simmons Says Sexual Assault Case Is Ploy For Fame
Hip Hop mogul Russell Simmons told HipHopDX in an exclusive interview that the woman suing him for sexual assault is in vain.
“I have no intention of getting in the mud with this woman or feeding her lawyers’ interest in gaining fame, space or ground into this incredibly lucrative practice of extortion,” Simmons said. “People ask how could anonymous person seek fame. It’s the lawyer who is seeking fame and that’s why we are seeking sanctions against him.”
While the Internet has been busy going crazy over Lil Yachty‘s revelation his heavy-handed involvement in the creation City Girls’ “Act Up” anthem his sit down with Kerwin Frost, the interview has proven to provide a boatload more gems from the young QC signee.
Aside from his “Act Up” story, Yachty also revealed some interesting new insight as to why the collective hype the Sailing Team has died down in recent times. According to the young Atlanta artist, it came down to a matter what seemed to be a one-sided effort and a serious lack work ethic.

“When the Sailing Team became like my brothers and sisters, I felt the need to take care them,” Yachty says in the interview with Frost. “But it got to the point where I was spending so much money, almost a million dollars, trying to create this company out my own money, and they didn’t want it for themselves …] They were just really lazy. Not even a thing where they were envious or jelly, they were just really lazy. I was like, ‘Why am I sitting here trying so hard to make you guys?’ That’s the thing, I never wanted money from my friends either, I just wanted them to be great. I never signed any them. I never put none them on paper because I didn’t want that. I wanted them to get their own labels.”
Notably, the Sailing Team is a collective that hosted the likes TheGoodPerry, EartThePearll, K$upreme, Byou, Jbans$2Turnt, BIGBRUTHACHUBBA, and even Kodie Shane. Among the pack, Shane, has been the one to break away significantly, landing a deal with Epic and building a strong cult base reminiscent an earlier iteration Yachty’s successes, becoming a proper star in her own right.

Ultimately, Boat said that it was A$AP Rocky who gave him advice on how to face what he was feeling in regard to the Sailing Team.
“I called Rocky a lot times. I used to call him, just like ‘Yo, what do I do with this group people? How do I get them to work?’” Yachty detailed. “And then Rocky just told me one phone call we had, ‘You can’t make anybody do anything. You gotta understand when enough is enough. You did your part, you know in your mind and your heart that you tried, and y’all still family, you still gang. But you have to do you.’”
Dark Man X is indeed a man many talents, easily vacillating between seasoned rap veteran and captivating thespian to anointed minister in recent times. While he’s been busy making his rounds as the former and the latter, he’ll soon be returning to his work as an actor in a new psychological thriller.
HNHH has learned that DMX is set to join a cast that includes the likes Brendan Sexton and Tara Reid for Chronicle Of A Serial Killer. Directed by Steve Stanulis, the film will follow Sexton as the central lead Henry Brolin, a serial killer who targets women that he believes will ultimately turn out to be like his mother. In his role, DMX will be playing one the lead detectives tasked with track Brolin down.

“When my casting director suggested DMX it immediately resonated with me as a perfect fit” Stanulis tells us. “I have no doubt he is going bring a different dynamic to the role and I’m excited to have him part this talented cast. I’m looking forward to working with him and everyone else this summer.”
Filming for the flick is set to take place in NYC, beginning in June.
Until then, DMX will be busy fulfilling a schedule appearances on the musical side things as he continues to celebrate the 20th anniversary It’s Dark And Hell Is Hot. The itinerary includes stops in Detroit, Pittsburgh, and Chicago before things come to a close with his set at Rolling Loud Miami.
As the second weekend Coachella 2019 wraps up, the first weekend has already broken a record for the famed festival.
YouTube, which holds exclusive live streaming rights to the Indio, California gathering, reports that the first weekend Coachella broke its own live streaming record, doubling its views over last year. Overall, Coachella racked up 89.2 million live views, marking the highest viewership since YouTube began streaming it in 2011 and marking the growth 90%. Of all the acts performing at Coachella, only about 70 streamed their performances.
This year, Coachella switched things up on the live stream front, taking viewers into the Yuma Tent during Weekend 2 for the very first time. Yuma is the designated destination for DJ acts that, this year, included sets by Idris Elba, Nicole Moudaber, and Deep Dish among others. In addition, specially curated content included interviews conducted by virtual Instagram personality Miquela.
Ariana Grande will close out this year’s festivities with her second headlining run Sunday evening on the Empire Polo Grounds.
The night is dark and full terrors… and leaks too. As reported by The Wrap, episode 2 Game Thrones’ final season has leaked online just hours before it is set to premiere. Of course, we will not get into any spoilers here, but you can head over to to catch in-depth breakdowns and summaries what took place. According to and Twitter users, the episode was released early Amazon Prime in Germany. Last week, episode 1 leaked a few hours early as well. It appears that time zones, and distribution, have made it hard for HBO to stop leaks from surfacing. Game Thrones may be the most pirated show all time.
The Wrap confirmed Episode 802 was released early and uploaded to website Openload, but has since been removed. Nothing is forever gone from the internet though, so for those who can’t wait 3 more hours, feel free to dig through the internet for what you desire. Episode 802, as the trailers suggest, will focus on Jon’s new knowledge, Jamie Lannister’s arrival in Winterfell, and Tormund’s journey to warn the others what he has witnessed. With only 5 episodes left, counting tonight’s, there isn’t much Game Thrones left. Long live Aegon Targaryen!
What did Kodak Black do the moment secured his release at the border crossing. If you guessed, dye his color blonde with SuperSaiyan spikes, I’d spit my drink out. But that’s exactly what happened. Thanks to the wacky entrepreneurial spirit a hairstylist figuratively named Despeignes Cheveux, footage Kodak’s transformation was captured on video.
In the spirit customer care, Cheveux readily complied with Kodak Black’s blonde hair demands. “Kodak you ready for your transformation? This the answer I got,” she asked, in a recapitulation the exchange written into the video like closed captioning. Instead responding in words, all she gets is sheepish grin which she wisely interprets as a YES.
The video then jumps forward in glossing over the longwinded steps. When the video picks up again, Kodak Black looks the part a Simpson’s character, as he grills (not grits) his teeth as he did once before at the onset the hair dying process. “That shit be crazy,” Kodak exclaims before going completely quiet in amazement. For the remainder the clip, Kodak Black just sits there checking himself in the mirror, without a care in the world.
The “Florida Man” is in danger having an existing bond agreement revoked by the South Carolina authorities looking over his “sexual assault” case file – all because the bells went f in the National registry when he was docked at the border this past week. A number self-appointed elders are preying on him to make another false step. Kodak communicated a need for deliverance on Dying To Live, something he’ll never be able to fully discern on Standard Shipping rates.
Avengers Endgame is less than a week away. If you’ve been able to avoid spoilers for this long, we don’t suggest looking for them now. Although, several minutes footage have leaked online, and I hear that they are filled with very heavy spoilers. Thanos demands our silence though, and so have the Russo Brothers, who directed the film. It was long thought that Endgame would be the end phase 3 for Marvel, and that Spiderman: Far From Home would jump-start the next phase. It appears we were wrong. The Infinity Saga, which is comprised every MCU film from Iron-Man to Endgame, will now ficially end with Far From Home.
As reported by ScreenRant, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige was speaking with a reporter at the Chinese Avengers: Endgame event when he broke the news. “It’s the end the third phase,” he said about Far From Home. “You’re the first one I’ve told that to.” Check out the video below, at the 30-second mark.
As far as phase 4 is concerned, Marvel has yet to make any ficial announcements. We are sure they will come soon after Endgame arrives. Black Widow, Black Panther 2, Doctor Strange 2, The Eternals, Guardians the Galaxy 3, and Shang-Chi are all rumored to be next on the slate releases.
Many scratched their heads when the New York Giants traded their star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to the Cleveland Browns. The ill-fated Browns now have a very talented roster, one that is poised to help them take the AFC. Many obstacles stand in their way, but not as many as the Giants will face this season. Eli Manning is a shadow his former self, and the fense is in disarray save for the monstrous Saquon Barkley. The Giant’s GM David Gettleman recently spoke with NJ.com, and touched on the infamous trade.
“I think some people are still missing it,” Gettleman said. “Football is the ultimate team game. If all 11 guys aren’t doing the right thing, you’re not going to be successful. There’s more to it than just collecting talent. There is a cultural thing to it that’s critical. I have not been on a team that’s gone to a Super Bowl that’s had a culture problem.” When asked if a culture problem is what the Giants had, Gettleman stated, “Not anymore.”
Nicholas Hunt/Getty s
“What I find interesting, there are people reporting and making judgments on what I do and how I do my job who don’t know the game, who have never been involved with a team, and have just been on the outside looking in,” Gettleman continued. “That’s not your fault, by the way. It’s just the way it is. But the problem is, to me, is when a reporter makes a judgment and doesn’t have all the information. That’s a thing I just shake my head at.” We’ll see if the reporters were right once the 2019-2020 season concludes.
On April 9, Magic Johnsonabruptly stepped down as the team’s President Basketball Operations, proving at his monolithic stature as an NBA player didn’t go over quite as well at the management level. Mind you, Magic has found success as a “shadow investor” outside basketball. So, it’s not all bad after all. And by the looks it, he seems to agree with that assessment.
TMZ Sports caught up with Magic Johnson this afternoon in the midst a Sunday stroll with his sweetheart. Before coming to grips, the field reporter wisely a good number sycophantic compliments. The ploy worked and Magic let his guard down long enough and slackened his pace.
The reporter’s first question to Magic was to gauge if the former Lakers’ Prezzy had any regrets over his tenure, especially the past 10 or so months. To his surprise, Magic was quite nonchalant in his overall assessment the situation. He said, “No, the same feelings as always]… everybody knows I love the Lakers, so I’ma always going to help them – like right now!”
The reporter obliged his rambling a while longer before the conversation reached a crucial point where Magic alluded to ongoing “daily” conversation with the Laker’s. He then unabashedly revealed that he and the Lakers’ are still very much “engaged” in this longtime love affair, dating back to the year 1979.
It sounds to me like Magic Johnson would like to occupy a consultant role within the organization, but with greater responsibility than someone like Kobe Bryant whose ties to the Lakers’ were left undefined by choice. So, as it stands, Magic’s is more hands-on than Kobe’s but nothing like the position he just vacated. In short, the Lakers don’t want him to depart, and neither does he, how sweet!
SiriusXM is trying to expand its satellite radio service to those who do not have cars or compatible car stereo systems.
The company is doing this through a plan that they call SiriusXM Essential. The plan costs $8 per month and provides more than 200 radio stations that users can listen to either at home or through mobile devices.
SiriusXM Essential includes all the music programming the company offers through its Premiere Streaming plan, and it also includes a number of sports channels as well as news and comedy channels. Still, many notable radio channels are missing from the plan. Among those channels not included in the plan are:
Howard Stern’s two radio channels
Those who do not have cars (or compatible stereos) but are interested in these premium channels will be able to purchase the Premiere Streaming plan for in-home and mobile listening sometime in mid-May for $13 per month.
Matt Epstein, vice president of marketing at SiriusXM, said that SiriusXM Essential is an attempt to reach a younger demographic.
He said that young people generally do not drive enough to make the purchase of a satellite radio system worth it.
Even worse, Epstein noted that because some young people do not own cars, they do not even know about the existence of SiriusXM. That presents a serious awareness issue, with competitors like Spotify and Apple Music obviously not suffering the same issue.
Epstein also mentioned that the company wanted to take advantage of the explosion of smart speakers. Already, Sirius has witnessed a dramatic increase in listening at home. Smart speaker listening has increased by 60% in the last year alone, according to the company.
Some may wonder if SiriusXM Essential is in competition with Pandora, which Sirius bought last year for $3.5 billion. But in spite of similar offerings, Epstein insists that the services are complementary.
SiriusXM Essential is initially offering a 3 month trial for $1.
Homecoming, the name of the first of three projects, is a behind-the-scenes look at Beyonce’s 2018 Coachella performance. The price tag associated with this project by itself is reported to be $20 million.
Beyonce is also releasing a live album associated with the documentary. The album is 40 songs and includes two bonus songs near the end. The bonus add-ons are “Before I Let Go” by Frankie Beverly & Maze and “I Been On,” a song that was uploaded to Soundcloud back in 2013.
Other sources indicate that Netflix may have outbid HBO to secure Beyonce’s documentary. This is a departure from Beyonce’s 2016 association with HBO, Lemonade. Neither HBO nor Netflix have commented on the details of these discussions.
The documentary of the behind the scenes performance promises to be an impressive display.
Expect to see many backup dancers, a marching band, and an impressive musical showcase. At one point, over were counted on stage. The performance was a performance feat, with Beyonce stating that she wanted to “bring her culture” to Coachella.
Netflix has previous experience with similar content, include Lady Gaga’s Gaga: Five Foot Two. Other popular music-based documentaries include the recently-released Fyre: The Greatest Party That Never Happened, though perhaps that one should thrown into a different sub-category entirely.
Kanye West took his Sunday Service to Coachella today, Easter Sunday. Mr. West was originally rumored to headline the event, but he allegedly denied the massive festival’s fer because they could not build a stage to his liking. It doesn’t get more Kanye than that. No harm, no foul though, as Kanye decided to give the Coachella audience an exclusive performance that was more special than a headlining spot would have been. Kanye blessed those at the festival with his Sunday Service, and brought along special guests as well.
DMX, Kid Cudi, Teyana Taylor, and Chance the Rapper all made appearances during Kanye’s nearly two-hour performance. Mr. West also debuted a new song while he performed on Easter Sunday. The track, entitled “Water,” finds Mr. West crooning in Autotune about the healing powers the water. Washing away your sins is something that is forever connected to Easter, so it was the perfect time for him to debut the single. Possibly, this is a taste Yandhi. Other than that, Mr. West spent most his time performing songs from his long catalog. Check out some clips from Kanye’s Sunday Service at Coachella below.
Amber Rose‘s 2nd pregnancy has been a revelation sorts, as she’s come to find a bunch her so-called friends are simply in it for the clout. You might have heard, Rose is expecting a “sweet little baby boy” with current beau Alexander “AE” Edwards sometime in the near future. In an effort to clear out the have-nots, the model/activist took to Instagram to call out the “unlisted” friends who’ve been neglected her late, now that she’s toned down her partying in preparation her maternity cycle.
gotpap/Bauer-Griffin/GC s/Getty s
“Funny how my phone blows up when I’m having pool parties and shit is lit,” she wrote in a series Instagram Story posts neatly patched together by the mods who run The Shade Room. “But as soon as bitch is sick and pregnant it’s crickets. No ‘just checking on you’ text or nothing, shit’s wild. But when I pop out this beautiful strong baby boy don’t try to be my friend again. Deadass.”
Amber closed her account by bidding the unnamed “toxic ass fake friends” farewell. And though we can only dwell on her side the story at the present moment, Amber does appear to be resolute in her intentions to focus on the task motherhood, considering she has the undying support her boyfriend Edwards, her current baby father Wiz Khalifa, and their son Sebastian, who is apparently really excited to be big brother come deadline day.
