BAPE is introducing an exclusive selection t-shirts that celebrate the re-emergence Sakura trees during springtime. The Japanese streetwear label is tapping into the vast agricultural heritage their native land, paying homage to the beautiful pink cherry blossoms that pop up for only a few months each calendar year.
The “SAKURA APE HEAD PHOTO TEE” and “SAKURA COLLAGE TEE” each harken back to established BAPE trademarks, with the former depicting a person wearing their iconic Shark Hoodie in front Mt. Fuji, which is then contained within the brand’s Ape head silhouette. The latter features cherry blossoms shrouding BAPE’s instantly-recognizable branding.
Each these graphics will be available on either a black or white t-shirt. The designs are set to hit stores, both online and digitally, on March 31. Be sure to cop a piece in honour the season blooming and renewal.
Last night in New Orleans, Damian Lillard poured in 41 points, in addition to nine rebounds and six assists, as the Portland Trail Blazers picked up a 107-103 victory. Shortly after Lillard’s 41-point performance, he boarded a plane back to Portland and went straight to the hospital to be with his girlfriend who went into labor during the game.
According to NBA.com, Lillard says he learned when he got to the locker room after the game against the Pelicans that his girlfriend was in labor. He says the message was essentially, “Get home.”
The All-Star guard took a private jet home while the Blazers boarded a flight to Memphis for tonight’s game against the Grizzlies. Even without Lillard on the second night a back-to-back, Portland should be able to take care business tonight against the Grizz, who currently have the second worst record in the NBA at 20-54.
“We know this is a big trip still but these two (wins) against teams right on our heals, one them a division opponent, we know that these two are really, really big,” said Lillard their last two wins against the Thunder and Pelicans. “I’m just happy I’ll be able to get on that plane knowing we got these first two (games).”
Lillard is averaging 26.8 points, 6.5 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game this season while leading the Trail Blazers to a 46-28 record that has them sitting in third place in the wildly competitive Western Conference. With eight games remaining in the regular season the Blazers are 2.5 games up on the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Gucci Mane has admitted that he likes to live a flashy lifestyle. Being married to Gucci likely comes with a prerequisite that you enjoy being constantly spoiled with expensive gifts and glitzy gear because the man definitely likes to shop for his girl. Last week, Gucci copped a brand new ice cream chain for his wife Keyshia Ka’Oir… just because he felt like it. Most men opt for flowers, chocolate or a Sephora gift card when they want to surprise their significant others but Gucci is an extravagant man and money is least his worries. On top her brand new ice, Keyshia recently went on a luxury shopping spree, courtesy Wop, and Gucci took some pictures along the way.
Referring to himself as “Sugar Daddy Gucci Mane,” Gucci is taking the bill this time as his wife flaunted her recent purchases from the Chanel store in Hawaii. It appears as though the duo have taken a relaxing break from the constant hustle life, flying out to Waikiki for a bit to take advantage their time with each other. The two adorably wore matching hoodies while Guwop stayed true to his name by lugging around a Gucci backpack. From the looks the stacks cash on the rapper’s lap, Keyshia could just about buy the entire Chanel store and they would still walk away with change.
With the caption “Buy what u want u with Wizop,” the ATL legend is making sure to continually prove his appreciation and loyalty to his wife. Check out the pictures below.
Last night, city ficials met in Sacramento during a routine council meeting to address issues and concerns plaguing the capital California. However, things were abruptly shaken up when Stevante Clark, the brother Stephon, came in uninvited to impede on the day’s proceedings.
Stephon was recently shot and killed by a local policeman in his own backyard, and was unarmed at the time. Naturally, this has sparked a public outrage amongst residents Sacramento and the world-at-large, as the plight to end police brutality targeted at black people has not yet fully realized.
Stevante, alongside a group like-minded protestors, entered into the space in order to have their voices heard. The grief-stricken brother jumped up on the desk and shouted down at mayor Darrell Steinberg and the rest the city council. He very resonantly proclaimed that “the mayor and the city Sacramento has failed all you,” before urging for an end to gang violence, high rents and poverty.
As Steinberg was heard muttering to Stevante to stop, he retorted with “Now the mayor wants to talk to me. The chief police got my brother killed. He doesn’t care. He doesn’t show no emotion at all. And y’all get mad at me for not crying on the news.”
The meeting was temporarily paused in order to evacuate the protestors. A planned council session for Wednesday was canceled out respect for Stephon’s wake.
One person was arrested outside city hall for following an altercation with an ficer on duty.
The suspected reconciliation Lil Wayne and Birdman seems to have come a few moments too soon. According to documents obtained by the Blast, the litigation battle between the two has taken a turn for the worse. Apparently a shared hug, and their public outing have done little to repair their soured relationship.
An Instagram post, the pair hanging out at a club in Miami, appeared to show the two former colleagues in good spirits, with Birdman referring to Wayne as his son yet again.
In good conscience, it appears they held f from talking business during their club encounter. Things came to a head shortly thereafter. Lil Wayne is fiercely confident in his case against Birdman. Sources indicate that “There will be no connection, no ties, and no business relationship,” between them.
Wayne is suing his former boss and father figure for $51 Million. Birdman is accused withholding millions. Wayne is also seeking an out from his Cash Money deal to go along with aforementioned compensatory package. Much the infighting stems from Birdman’s unwillingness to release the Carter V, amid a certainty it would go over well.
We’re all well aware the controversial happenings that H&M has been dealing with. First, there was the monkey hoodie that a young black boy modelled – leading G-Eazy and The Weeknd to drop their campaigns with the company. More recently the retail house was accused copyright infringement taking work from a graffiti artist.
H&M’s latest sportswear line featured a model in front a piece art by Jason ‘Revok’ Williams. The artist filed a cease and desist but H&M responded saying he had no “copyright rights to assert.”
All that’s happened in the last few months alone makes it come as no surprise that they are reportedly sitting on $4.3 billion worth unsold merchandise, The New York Times reports. We previously posted that the Swedish fashion house has dipped 62% in its first-quarter earnings – marking the lowest value the company has had since 2005.
The publication says some critics are blaming the unsold stock on poor inventory management and products that don’t appeal to the masses. CEO Karl-Johan Persson says the merchandise is for the increase apparel that the 220 new stores will be using.
Whether Karl’s words are true or not, H&M has without a doubt been shamed from their poor campaign choices and some that unsold merchandise has to be because that.
Tory Lanez and Eric Bellinger’s beef started bubbling more when after the release Memories Don’t Die. On “Hate To Say,” Tory took some subtle jabs towards Eric Bellinger and later spoke about it during several interviews. Earlier this week, Bellinger released his latest song “Yikes” which took direct shots at Lanez. Bellinger recently explained that he was going to let it go but after hearing several interviews, he decided to head into the studio and get some things f his chest.
Eric Bellinger recently sat down with Big Boy’s neighborhood and course, Big Boy wasn’t able to let the interview end without asking about his beef with Tory. He explained that he wasn’t going to initially respond to the song but, after Tory did interviews and indirectly spoke about it, he took it to the studio.
“I never even intended on responding at first… I wasn’t even worried about it. It’s a song, cool.” He said, “But I kept seeing him and the way he was talking in these interviews with such disrespect. It was like, ‘cool.’ I’mma go ahead and head to the studio.”
He said that the first time he heard Tory’s reference to “Your Favorite Song,” he thought it was a coincidence but after he heard it the second time, he knew it was directed at him.
“We had already been working together, we did songs together. We was cool. I ain’t never had no issue but the thing is, he did those interviews.” He said, “He said I begged him… Why would I beg you to get on a song. The same thing with the interviews, he’s like ‘just irrelevant’ and he’s like ‘we all know who I’m talkin’ bout. This would be the biggest pub his life.’ It’s like… yeah bro, let me just bend you over my knee.”
Watch the full interview below with the Tory Lanez conversation starting around the 10:15 mark.
Donald Glover, also known as Childish Gambino, performed a stand up several years ago where he jokes about the “N” word. In his joke, he references a Kanye West concert that he went to where the majority the crowd are Caucasians. The white crowd sings along to the “N” word proudly, making Glover feel somewhat strange. Instances like that happen every day in real life. Rappers use the word endlessly on songs, so hearing someone lighter skin sing along to the tune is not unheard . Famous video game streamer Ninja took it one step too far though, and inserted the “N” word into a Logic song that doesn’t even have the word in it.
Ninja was live streaming Fortnite when he dropped the “N” bomb. He famously played the battle royale styled game with Drake and Travis Scott on a live stream earlier this month. Obviously a fan rap music, it’s no surprise Ninja started going in over Logic’s track “44 More” while live streaming on Tuesday (March 27). The lyrics to the song go as follows:
I’ve been goin’ and goin’ like the Energizer
I’m supplying the wood like Elijah
In the cut, smokin’ on indica
Might fuck around and compartmentalize ya
At the part where Logic raps about smoking on indica, Ninja forgets the lyrics and drops the “N” word, twice. The live stream was broadcasted worldwide by Twitch. Check out a clip Ninja’s epic fail below.
After being targeted by Rich The Kid in the recent “Dead Friends” (the first full-on “diss track” put forth by a new generation rapper), many speculated whether or not Lil Uzi Vert would clap back with a vengeance. While Uzi has seemingly perfected the melodic banger, the status his current bar game has been pondered late; if he were to respond to Rich, what would it even sound like? That may very well be a question for another time. Today, it’s important to focus on the now. Remember G-Herbo’s Drake approved “Who Run It” freestyle? Last night, the Chicago rapper shared a preview to an upcoming remix, featuring none other than Lil Uzi Vert.
Lo and behold, the Luv Is Rage rapper is going in like a man possessed. Blending fashion references with depictions “Chiraq” violence, Uzi’s double time flow is a new look for the young Philadelphia rapper. If there were ever the time to fire a few shots at Rich, it seems like the hard-hitting Three 6 Mafia remix is a suitable backdrop. In all honesty, it’s cool to see Uzi flexing a little bit, as he rarely gets the chance to murder a beat this nature. As now, it’s unclear when this remix is set to see the light day, but one thing is certain – Lil Uzi Vert has something to say.
Check out the preview below, and sound f below. Are ya’ll looking forward to hearing this one?
The general public loves to scrutinize every microscopic detail on anything Kardashian related, as their rapid and unwavering ascent into public notoriety has opened up a floodgate ceaseless hatred. Case in point: Kim Kardashian, whose recent Instagram post has been dragged all over social media.
Many are dubbing her recent upload a “photoshop fail,” since a car in the background seems to be distorted beyond recognition, which many believe is an attempt to make the beauty mogul and mother–three appear thinner.
In response, Kim disabled the comments portion this post, while also addressing the widespread criticism on her personal blog. “I’m seeing online and on news media outlets that I suffered a ‘Photoshop fail.’ So ridiculous! I reposted a picture on Instagram that a fan had already posted—I only added a filter to it…It looks like the fan mirrored the photo, which is the reason the car looks like that.”
Kim then shared the original fan photo to further support her claims, ending her rant with “so, this is actually really funny to me! Who would even Photoshop a car to look like that?! LOL.”
The tea has been spilled.
Ask and you shall receive. A twitter fan asked Murda Beatz if an Offset collaborative album was within the realm possibility, and the producer piped back with a response that came as a bit a surprise, albeit a pleasant one.
Not only did Chief Murda acknowledge the fan interaction, he also declared a project with Offset was ‘on set’ or well on its way.
Murda Beatz really made his splash in the industry through his association with Migos, as evidenced by the Culture tattoo he dons on his forearm, which isn’t to say he hasn’t made friends with everybody. But the Fort Erie native is especially entrusted with helping keep score the Migos sound. He made his inroads by sending Skippa Da Flippa the toast his beats before the the group had blown up. Those beats got passed around by the collective and before long internet friends became fline ones, and so the story goes.
An Offset solo project has long been hinted at, critics even going so far as to suggest Culture II as the definitive end Migos as we know it.
Keep it locked for confirmation on the Offset X Murda Beatz project.
