During a recent concert showing, Murda Beatz surprised the fans in attendance with a sneak peek at a song he crafted for Offset and A$AP Rocky. With Flacko coming down from a nightmarish excursion in Sweden, it’s up to folks like Murda Beatz to pitch the next tent. There’s really nothing like an impactful experience to get the creative juices flowing again.
With that said, Murda Beatz’ unnamed track is in the process being disseminated on social media. Migos and A$AP Mob fans have joined in celebrating the portentous occasion. With Murda Beatz alluding to Rocky’s detainment, and the crowd reacting in delight- it’s safe to say, this unearthed gem a recording will see the light, sooner than later.
“Now that Rocky is free we can play his verse, you know what I’m saying,” Murda Beatz can be heard bantering in the clip; you can view the video in its entirety right here. Where does new A$AP Rocky rank on your “most coveted” list now that Rick Ross has finally answered all our hopes and dreams on Port Miami 2? Moreover, I get the sense “the internet” has gone sour on Migos, and will soon come to regret it. Keep it locked.

Under the contract, Benif and Weiss will leave their longtime home at HBO and create and develop new projects for the streaming giant.
“We are thrilled to welcome master storytellers David Benif and Dan Weiss to Netflix. They are a creative force and have delighted audiences worldwide with their epic storytelling. We can’t wait to see what their imaginations will bring to our members,” Netflix chief content ficer Ted Sarandos said in a statement.
Added Benif and Weiss in a joint statement: “We’ve had a beautiful run with HBO for more than a decade and we’re grateful to everyone there for always making us feel at home. We remember the same shots from the same ’80s movies; we love the same books; we’re excited about the same storytelling possibilities. Netflix has built something astounding and unprecedented, and we’re honored they invited us to join them.”
It’s being reported that the two guys were using Westworld creators Lisa Joy and Jonah Nolan’s recent $150 million deal with Amazon as a guiding stick for their deal, and wanted to be sure they got more than that, which they did with $200 million. We’ll keep you posted once their first projects are revealed. Stay tuned.

During an interview with Complex, the Atlanta-based rapper revealed who made his coveted list, starting with himself. “Number one would have to be 21 Savage,” he said before listing off JAY-Z at No. 2 and The Notorious B.I.G. third. Fourth place he gave to his cousin Young Nudy. And the fifth spot went to Nipsey Hussle.
Savage has shared his support for the late rapper in the past. Following the release of Nipsey’s Victory Lap album last year, Savage posted a clip of his track “Blue Laces 2.” “Only real ni**as appreciate this type of music,” he wrote on Instagram Stories.
The Saint Laurent Don recently announced that he is working on new music including Savage Mode 2, a sequel to his 2016 collaborative mixtape with Metro Boomin.
When he’s not in the studio, he’s been studying to get his pilot’s license. He has logged 10 hours of flying miles so far, and also has plans to launch a flying program. “I’m going to open up a pilot school in my area where kids can go to pilot school out of high school,” he told Complex.

Last night on Twitter, Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds proposed an anti-gun violence festival. He even made a dig at the failure of Woodstock 50 to materialize, despite repeated promises.
“With the failure of WOODSTOCK I pose this question: What artists/speakers are willing to play for free (we get some corporate dollars to cover crew costs and travel etc) to put on a festival raising money for organizations that are fighting for new legislation regarding gun laws.”
Reynolds received an outpouring of support from many people, but some were skeptical. Many accused the singer of being political. Reynolds quickly clarified himself when those accusations were made.
“We are gonna DO this I promise you that. This isn’t political. This is a festival about our people being KILLED. It needs to stop. And honestly. It’s gonna take our artists and people of influence stepping up. Because lawmakers ARE NOT.”
Several high-profile artists have already stepped up to answer the call on Twitter. The Head and The Heart, Zedd, Super Whatevr, Alli Fitz, Garrison Starr, and I Don’t Know How But They Found Me have all committed.
Dan Reynolds has long been an . The festival would support organizations helping fight for better gun control laws in the United States.
Twin cities of El Paso and Dayton were left reeling over the weekend when back-to-back mass shootings occurred. The El Paso shooter has admitted he was targeting ‘Mexicans.’ The shooter wrote what is being referred to as a manifesto that he posted online, saying there is a “Hispanic invasion of Texas.”
Hours after that attack, a gunman in Dayton, Ohio killed nine people in thirty seconds. Police officers on the scene shot and killed the gunman. The El Paso gunman has been in jail since surrendering himself and has been cooperative with authorities. The FBI is looking at both cases as potential domestic terrorism committed by men who subscribe to violent ideologies.
The campaign trail for the next Democratic nominee has been quite interesting. There are candidates from across America who are working to win over the Dems and ultimately overthrow Donald Trump as president. Unfortunately, many the candidates are taking big Ls on their campaign trail. Although many have been riding with Obama’s former vice president, he left a bad taste in a lot peoples mouths last night while might have cost him his chances at becoming president.
Joe Biden may have “misspoke” where he said that “poor children are just as talented as white kids” but people aren’t going to allow him to get away with this one. He’s faced a ton backlash online which prompted him to issue an apology. However, not many are willing to forgive him. After the clip emerged online, RihRih took to Instagram to bash Biden for his comments, claiming that what he said showed his true colors.
“Whoa! And he’s convinced he said something great here,” she wrote. “Even when they fake it, the truth about how they feel about us is blatant!”
This isn’t the first Joe Biden’s faced criticism for things he’s said in the past. A few months back, the Democratic candidate bragged about how he went to the “hood” to teach women color how to code. While he’s efforts are applaudable, his choice words were met with an audible “yikes” from the audience.

The social media climate we live in today forces people to share more than they ever have before online. From their meals, television streaming choices, manicures, balcony views, and endless more, it leaves people in a subconscious state wonder for what’s happening on the ‘Gram. While it’s normal to purge your Instagram account every now then, sending old posts away in the archive, one rapper by the name Tory Lanez has opted for a full delete when it comes to his current 68 posts to his feed.

The “LUV” rapper shared a PSA to his feed letting his 4.6 million followers know that he will be trashing all his photos and videos the past. “DELETING ALL CONTENT OFF MY INSTAGRAM. AND STARTING FRESH,” he wrote. “TO THE ONE UMBRELLA PLAYER$ CLUB…. I want you to know I cherish and have mad love for everyone you that rep the Umbrella.”
“IM IN A VERY GOOD SPACE. MUSIC WISE / FASHION WISE / LIFE WISE … and at this point I don’t feel like anything from my past content represents the person i am in my entirety.”

Kristaps Porzingis will make his return to Madison Square Garden to face the New York Knicks on November 14, and Knicks fans are already counting down the days to welcome him back in classic New York fashion. Of course, this is assuming he’s healthy enough to step on the court.
Porzingis missed all last year as he recovered from an ACL injury, while the Knicks traded him to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Dennis Smith Jr., multiple future first round draft picks and a ton cap space. While some fans are disappointed in the return for the former fourth overall pick, many others are glad that Porzingis is out town, including Queens’ own, Action Bronson.
During an appearance on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show, Bronson spoke about the state the Knicks, and how he knew Porzingis wasn’t cut out for the bright lights Madison Square Garden.
“Nah, I wasn’t, I knew,” Bronson said when asked if he was ever on the ‘KP bandwagon’. “Just, you could tell with certain guys they just don’t have it in ‘em. He didn’t have New York in him, man. I knew somebody that sold this brother weed, and from what I heard, he didn’t have it in ‘em.”
Helwani then brought up Porzingis’ diva mentality, to which Action replied, “I could have told you that from his haircut, and just you know, the texture his skin on his face; like baby skin. Like, you know he uses lots products.”
As for the trade package they received for KP and the current state the Knicks, Bronson adds, “I’ve learned to embrace … the Knicks will be bad. It’s unfortunate, but I’m waiting to just explode with joy. You can’t have pleasure without so much pain. And when they are finally amazing, and they’re good, oh man, will I feel so good, finally.”
Check out the full episode below, the Porzingis talk start at around the 15:30 mark.
Nike ficially introduced their latest basketball sneaker on Wednesday night – the Nike AlphaDunk, which is essentially the evolution the always popular Nike Hyperdunk line. The kicks previously leaked in two special edition colorways – one inspired by Vince Carter’s epic 2000 Olympics dunk and another that nods to Aaron Gordon’s 2016 dunk performance.
The AlphaDunk pulls design cues from the Hyperdunk, including Zoom Air and Flyknit, to form a single package “engineered for verticality and built to withstand the bangs and bruises playing within the paint,” according to Nike.
According to Nike, the visible Zoom Air unit the AlphaDunk is highest stacked height for the technology ever, “to generate push, and to ensure engagement throughout the motion takef.”
“The AlphaDunk began from a study in jump height,” says Ross Klein, Senior Creative Design Director for Nike Basketball. “We began to consider what would happen if we bring our most responsive technology, Zoom Air, to the entire forefoot to cover the full motion a jump, from load to launch. What could it do?’’
Meanwhile, the reengineered Flyknit construction provides a sock-like fit that’s both flexible and strong. “We wanted to ensure durability for athletes working in the key,” says Klein.
The Nike AlphaDunk will debut this Friday, August 9 for the retail price $170. Check out some additional images below.
Jay-Z and Kanye West always had musical chemistry. There are some who might even suggest that Ye’s soulful flips helped reinvent the Jigga Man’s sound. Revealed in its formative stages on The Roc La Familia the Scarface-assisted “This Can’t Be Life,” a young Kanye West had yet to fully integrate himself into Jay’s trusted inner circle. At least, not until the following year. On The Blueprint, a project considered by many to be among the greatest hip-hop albums all time, Kanye West held it down with four contributions – including the incendiary “Takeover,” which single-handedly turned a simmering Nas feud into a full-blown massacre.
Aside from putting Nasir Jones in check, Ye’s Blueprint placements served an additional purpose. Prior to Kanye’s soulful flips on artists like The Doors, Michael Jackson, and David Ruffin, Jay generally opted for a different musical aesthetic. The production on his previous projects, particularly Hard Knock Life and Life & Times Of Shawn Carter, was generally skewing toward crisp and punchy minimalism. The trend was carried forward on songs like Dynasty’s “Change The Game” and “Squeeze 1st,” prompting speculation that the Jigga-Man had settled on his stylistic preference. With the tandem Kanye West and Just Blaze at the helm, Jay left listeners stunned on Blueprint, mirroring his production’s mature and authoritative qualities.

In many ways, the work done on Jay’s Blueprint, Blueprint 2, and Black Album played a role in setting expectations. When Watch The Throne was initially announced in 2010, many used the aforementioned three as a point reference. By this point, Kanye West’s own artistic evolution had reached an arguable peak; coming f My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Ye’s production had evolved from his sample-based formative years. His process changed in tandem, opening the door for collaboration with other likeminded creatives. As a result, Ye found himself rapping over beats that might have sent a purist fleeing. And while Jay and Kanye’s signature sound was beginning to develop a nostalgic aura, the remnants their glory days remained a major selling point for The Throne’s potential. Yet when it arrived, there was hardly a soul sample to be found.
“No Church In The Wild” opened the project on a darker note, a slow-burning and tense guitar-based instrumental. Arguably the album’s definitive song, the track was successful in dismantling preconceived expectations. Neither Jay nor Ye was to be operating within the confines their respective comfort zones, but rather cultivating a mutually beneficial (and stadium-friendly) sound. Nowhere was that more evident than on Hit-Boy’s “N***as In Paris,” which found Jay and Kanye teaming up for their most playful collaboration ever. At once lavish and outlandish, a flex you’d normally envy if it weren’t so charming, “In Paris” was instantly iconic to a wide spectrum audiences. The glory days were indeed acknowledged on “Otis,” which featured Kanye’s beloved sample-manipulation and vintage mixing. While perhaps not as lyrically refined as he once was, Jay-Z still managed to label himself “the inventor swag” with a respectable degree authenticity, outrapping over half the competition with little to no effort.
In hindsight, Watch The Throne’s singles tend to operate the most mental real estate. Still, it’s some the deeper cuts that stand triumphant. The Swizz Beatz & S1 produced “Murder To Excellence” stands alongside Jay and Ye’s finest hours, with the latter turning in an album-best performance. Masterfully weaving between somber and triumphant at the instrumental’s behest, Ye’s ideologies and unapologetic nature coalesce with one his most inspired verses. “If you picture events like a black tie, what the last thing you expect to see? Black guys!” raps Ye. “What’s the life expectancy for black guys? the system’s working effectively, that’s why.” The rare socially conscious-flex, pulled f by a man who many would claim tactless. Looks can be deceiving. As far as Jay’s best, it’s tempting to eye another Swizzy contribution in “Welcome To The Jungle.” Off the bat, Swizz’s unconventional percussion and steady cries “Goddamit!” are evocative Jay’s favored late 90’s production, songs like “Money Cash Hoes” and “Do It Again;” is it fair to say that Watch The Throne’s return to synthesizers and a digital aestheticbrought Jay full circle? Spurred on by his own frustration, Jay bodies the set, spitting powerful lines in his concluding statement: “Where the fuck is the press? Where the fuck is the Pres?, Either they know or don’t care, I’m fucking depressed, no crying in public, just lying to judges, risking my life, I’m already dying, so fuck it.”
Is Watch The Throne the crowning achievement in the respective discographies Hov and Ye? No. But it remains a strong installment nonetheless, and one that has aged gracefully into classic status. The spectacle alone -“N***as In Paris” was played nine times in a row during their subsequent tour- makes this one inherently monumental. There’s also something running deeper on Watch The Throne. A palpable air fun, two friends and longtime collaborators, both whom can look back on truly legendary discographies, operating in a creative space entirely free pressure. On the album’s eighth birthday, during an era where a sequel would be more than appreciated, allow yourself a moment to enjoy WatchThe Throne.
After eight full seasons with the Charlotte Hornets, point guard Kemba Walker decided to walk away from the team and joined the Boston Celtics on a four-year, $140 million deal. Walker was up for a supermax deal up to 5 years at $220 million, although in the end, the Hornets didn’t even come close to that fer. Instead, they fered Walker five years, $160 million which wasn’t nearly enough to keep him with the franchise. The Hornets will be going into full rebuild mode because this loss, while Walker goes to a playf contender in the Celtics. Despite the upgrade in team, Walker explained how hard it was to leave in an interview with Shams Charania The Athletic.
“Tough days, f–king tough days, I can’t even lie,” Walker said. “Excuse my language. It was difficult. I couldn’t see myself just being on another team. It was just hard. That’s all I’ve known was Charlotte. Definitely some tough times. I had a feeling that I wasn’t going to get the fer that I wanted, and maybe not close to it, because cap space.”
Ethan Miller/Getty s
Walker also got to speak about his predecessor in Boston, Kyrie Irving, and whether or not he feels any pressure to perform up to standards a player like Kyrie. As you would expect, Walker is more focused on being his own player.
“I’m not trying to go in and think that I have to be better than Kyrie last year,” Walker explained. “It happens. Great players go to teams all the time and it just doesn’t work. It just didn’t work for him. Kyrie is one the best players we have in this world. It was just unfortunate, an unfortunate season.”
Only time will tell whether or not Walker can lead the Celtics to a deep playf run or if they will be destined for a first or second round exit.
