Tyler, The Creator Drops GOLF Le FLEUR* SS19 Lookbook: Watch

Tyler, the Creator is one the most fashion-oriented artists out there and his efforts with his signature brand GOLF le FLEUR* prove that. Whether it be through his shoe collaboration with Converse or the clothes themselves, you can always expect some pretty colorful ferings from Tyler. Today, the Igor rapper dropped the video lookbook to GOLF le FLEUR’s* spring/summer 2019 collection and so far it’s looking pretty great.

There are some pretty interesting accessories included in the collection such as leather clutch bags, driver’s caps, thick-rimmed acetate sunglasses, dog collars, and even a shoe horn. As far as the clothes are concerned, there are some relaxed jeans, cardigans, collared shirts with flowery patterns, and even collaborations with Dr. Martens and Lacoste.

The video itself is nicely shot as it features the models walking down some white wooden steps onto a riverside dock. It feels like the sun is setting in the background which adds to the calming aesthetic the lookbook. Tyler himself stars in the video and at times, it shows him riding in a boat along the river.

Overall, it’s a pretty artsy video that does a great job at showcasing all the clothes that will be featured in the latest collection. According to Hypebeast, the entire collection will hit GOLF’s website on Saturday, July 6th.

50 Cent Confirms "Power" Is Not Ending: "You Will Understand Why"

50 Cent had us confused this week when he seemingly announced that, despite booking the series finale his hit show Power, the program would not actually be ending. The confusing post led many to believe that maybe Curtis was just trying to play us. The producers the show had previously said that they already had ideas for several spin-f series. However, it looks like the next season Power actually won’t be the end. The rapper and executive producer is doubling down on his claims, making yet another announcement that Season 6 won’t be the final taste the series.

“I have decided not to end POWER,” wrote Curtis Jackson on social media, uploading an image himself at a red carpet event. “When you see season 6 you will understand why.” His decision to continue planning new episodes the celebrated series must have happened at a late stage while they were finishing up the production. It’s possible that the crew was unsure how they wanted to end the show, writing a sick new plot to keep things going for another year. Regardless, we’re excited to see what’s in store and hopefully, we don’t owe 50 Cent any money for the extra episodes we’ll be getting.

The new season Power airs in August.

Cardi B Talks Heritage & Not Being Considered Black Because She Speaks Spanish

Cardi B has had her share controversy as it pertains to conversations about race and ethnicity. The rapper has been accused denying certain parts herself and saying negative things about black women, but Cardi has insisted that she sees herself as black. During a recent Instagram Live session, Cardi chatted about her multi-cultural heritage and how people are ten confused when she refers to herself as a black woman.

“A lot people don’t know the difference between nationality, race, ethnicity. That’s not nobodies fault, that’s actually the school’s fault because schools don’t be teaching this sh*t to people,” she said. She recalled a conversation she was having with someone this past week who said that she was Mexican. She told them, “I’m not Mexican, bro. I’m not Mexican at all. First all, I’m West Indian and I’m Dominican. I speak Spanish because I’m Dominican.” The person asked what’s the difference than being Mexican. “Everything.”

The rapper also said that although she obviously understands what Mexican people say when they speak Spanish, each culture has its own lingo so sometimes things don’t translate. “People just don’t be understanding sh*t,” Cardi went on to say. “It’s like, ‘Oh, Cardi’s Latin, she’s not black.’ And it’s like, ‘Bro, my features don’t come from f*cking white people f*cking, okay?’ And they always wanna race-bait when it comes to me. That’s why I have Afro features. ‘Oh, but your parents are light-skinned, your parents are this.’ All right, but my grandparents aren’t.”

She shared that Latinos from the islands have a rainbow skin complexions. “It’s crazy right because some island women, some artists that are from the same islands as me, people will be like, ‘Oh they’re Black.’ But because Cardi speaks Spanish to people, she’s not black even though we have similar features, same skin complexion. But no, they want to not put Cardi in it because I speak Spanish.”

Snoop Dogg & Faith Evans Back Petition For Donald Trump To Commute Loon’s Prison Sentence

New York, NY – Snoop Dogg and Faith Evans are among the celebrities hoping to see Loon get out of prison. The two have signed a petition asking Donald Trump to commute the former Bad Boy Records artist’s 14-year sentence for a non-violent drug offense.

The petition was created by Weldon Angelos, who was famously released after serving 12 years of a 55-year sentence for his own nonviolent drug offense. Angelos’ case became heavily scrutinized by advocates such as Families Against Mandatory Minimums, who helped lead a campaign that prompted his early release in 2016.

Loon, whose real name is Amir Junaid Muhadith, was sentenced to 14 years in prison for conspiring with intent to distribute one or more kilos of heroin in 2013.

Angelos explained Loon’s situation and pleaded for the rapper’s release in his petition, which has close to 8,000 signatures on Change.org as of Wednesday night (June 26).

“In 2008, Loon left the music industry to pursue a better, positive life after reverting to Islam and was traveling the world as a motivational speaker. He now goes by Amir Junaid Muhadith. However, while he was still in the music industry he made an introduction for someone who was involved with drugs and he got snared in a federal drug conspiracy case. He pleaded guilty for this minor role and agreed to a 14-year sentence to avoid the ‘trial tax’ he would receive if he rejected the government’s plea offer, which included very lengthy mandatory minimum enhancement penalties that would flow from a conviction after trial.

“Prisons should be reserved for those who really need to be there. At the White House Prison Reform Summit, which I had the privilege of attending, you expressed concern for long sentences and stressed the importance of second chances for low-risk offenders. In commuting the prison sentence of Alice Johnson, you stated that ‘those who have paid their debt to society and worked hard to better themselves while in prison deserve a second chance.’ Amir has done both.

“And while thousands of offenders will be released or see their sentences shortened as a result of the First Step Act, the new law does not benefit Amir. He has already served 7 years of his sentence. This should be enough.”

Former NBA star Kevin Garnett and Alice Johnson, who was granted clemency by Trump last year after lobbying by Kim Kardashian West, are among the other notable figures who’ve supported the fight for Loon’s release.

Tory Lanez Crosses Up YK Osiris In Game Of 1-On-1 Basketball: Watch

It’s no secret that Tory Lanez likes to ball when he’s on he road. Whether he’s shooting unorthodox jumpers backstage or playing Drake 1 on 1 in a secret location, the Toronto singer is not afraid to lace them up on the court, and it appears he was back at it last night.

Tory was spotted playing a game 1 on 1 with “Worth It” crooner YK Osiris, and from what we see he might’ve gotten the upper hand too. Footage has surfaced online this morning Tory crossing OK Osiris hard, to the point where he fell down, before other clips show him hitting fade away jumpers in his face. Who knows what the final score was, but you can see the vast improvement in Tory’s game since he was roasted a couple years ago for that god-awful jumper (see here).

Check out the clips the two playing a pick-up game (below). Who you think is the best basketball player in the rap game?

Universal Studios 2008 Fire: 700 More Artists Lost Masters, Including MLK Jr.

Some you are likely wondering why we’re reporting on a fire that happened over a decade ago. A disaster that has been called the “most devastating” moment in the history the music business occurred in 2008 when flames burned down several areas inside Universal Studios in Los Angeles. The fire was said to have destroyed one park attraction and a video vault but it was only revealed a few weeks ago that the flames actually took down way more than that. Universal had tried to cover up the damages but thousands master recordings from UMG artists were destroyed as well. Masters from iconic artists like Tupac Shakur, Eminem, 50 Cent, The Roots, and more. After further research from the New York Times, a list 700 more artists has been revealed, painting a more accurate picture.

The new report names seven-hundred artists that had their master recordings destroyed in the fire, adding to the already extensive list that was distributed earlier this year. Famed acts like Weezer, Blink-182, Neil Young, Common, Limp Bizkit, and even Dr. Martin Luther King Jr were added, who had one his speeches burned down.

As more information continues to leak out about the devastating aftermath the fire, we’re sure even more artists will be added to the growing list soon. As reported by Pitchfork, UMG is being sued by Soundgarden, Hole, the estate Tupac Shakur, and more.

Leonardo DiCaprio Gets Hit In The Face With A Volleyball & The Internet Loves It

It’s happened to many us. You’re aiming to hit the ball but you miss and it smacks you right in the face. Either literally or metaphorically, we’ve all been in that position. Some us have better hand-eye coordination but Leonardo DiCaprio is apparently not the most skilled volleyball player in the world. One highlight from his recent beach volleyball game has been making the rounds online, showing the ultra-popular actor trying to bump the ball back onto the other side the net before he completely fails his hit, getting struck in the face instead.

During a recent trip to the beach, DiCaprio was joined by Robin Thicke and April Love Geary in Malibu, who witnessed the tragedy happen firsthand. The film star seemed to recover quickly, getting up from the fall with a big smile on his face. There’s no word on who ended up winning the game and if it affected DiCaprio’s confidence for the remainder the match.

The moment is being made into some pretty hilarious memes with Leonardo himself choosing to ignore the nonsense. The actor has taken to social media to inform his near twenty-million followers about the water crisis in India, choosing to keep his focus on the environment and being one the loudest voices in Hollywood regarding worldwide climate change.

Eminem’s Father Dead At 67

Fort Wayne, IN – Eminem’s biological father and namesake, Marshall Bruce Mathers Jr., has died at 67. TMZ reports his family and neighbors in Fort Wayne, Indiana said he suffered a heart attack at his home.

Anyone even remotely familiar with Slim Shady’s catalog knows the Detroit-bred rap god had plenty of disdain for his biological parents. While his mother took the brunt of most of it, Em blasted his father on numerous occasions as well.

In a verse from 2001’s “Cleanin’ Out My Closet,” Em made his feelings crystal clear.

“My faggot father must’ve had his panties up in a bunch ‘cause he split,” he raps. “I wonder if he even kissed me goodbye/No, I don’t, on second thought, I just fuckin’ wished he would die/I look at Hailie, and I couldn’t picture leavin’ her side.”

Em’s mother Debbie explained a then 22-year-old Bruce married her when she was 15, and their son — who they named Marshall Bruce Mathers III — was born two years later. They broke up shortly after. Em and his mother settled in Detroit with her family, while Bruce relocated to California and had two more kids.

Shady has previously admitted in interviews he wrote letters to his father as a kid, but they always came back with a “return to sender” stamp on it. His dad would sometimes call while other family members were babysitting, but Em never actually talked to him on the phone.

His father published a letter addressed to his son in a newspaper explaining his side of the story in 2001. He claimed Debbie kept him away from Em, but they reportedly never reconciled.

Em hasn’t responded publicly to Mather’s death.

Rick Rock Reveals How Xzibit & Chino XL Got On Tupac’s Shitlist Radar

Multi-platinum producer Rick Rock recently spoke about being a part of some of the most legendary studio sessions and the first time he met Tupac on the Murder Master Music Show.

In an interview published on June 6 by Underground Society, Rock discusses his involvement in the recording process of Pac’s controversial hit “Hit ‘Em Up,” the late rappers decision to name drop Xzibit and Chino XL and the “Ain’t Hard 2 Find” studio session that involved E-40, B-Legit, C-Bo, Richie Rich and D-Shot.

“I was with Mike Mosley and we all caravanned from the Bay. It was me, Mike Mosely, C-Bo, and Richie Rich to get with Pac. We went to Death Row studios and he is playing us the album. Right after that, he said, ‘let’s do a song,’ and he was talking to 40 and C-Bo and all of them. I use to carry SP12 discs with me, 1200 discs, so in the studio, they had a 1200. While they were waiting I just loaded up, I put a disc in, pressed play and Pac said, ‘what’s that?’ and I said, ‘that’s you!’ It was that ‘Tradin’ War Stories’ song, Pac wrote his raps so fast!”

“I was there when he recorded, ‘Hit ‘Em Up,’ where he was like, ‘I’ll make sure all your kids don’t grow!’ I seen the Outlawz come in and tell them about whoever was saying something – Chino XL or somebody else like, Xzibit saying something. So, they was talking about that so he went in there and recorded it.”

The beef between Chino XL and Tupac began after Chino name-dropped the West Coast rapper on his 1996 debut album, Here to Save You All.

Chino’s opening verse in the song, “Riiiot!” included the line, “By this industry, I’m trying to not get fucked like 2Pac in jail.”

Rock continues by chronicling various studio recording sessions as well as his encounter with Pac after his confrontation with The Notorious B.I.G. at the 1996 Soul Train Awards.

“It was right after the confrontation at the Soul Train Awards with Pac and Biggie and them. They came back to Can-Am [studio] and me and Mike was still in there working on a beat for them. Left Eye was in there, Goodie Mob was up in there! That shit was crazy.”

Mariah Carey’s Jealous Assistant Accused Of Leaking Medical Records: Report

Mariah Carey‘s personal assistant leaked the starlet’s medical records and extravagant spending habits to the press in an attempt to blackmail her for millions. The allegations stemmed from new court documents obtained by Page Six. The pop diva has been locked in a legal battle with her former employee, Lianna Azarian, and so for a long time now. We previously reported on the singer filing for a court order to have her intimate videos protected. Such intimate videos were believed to be in Azarian’s possession along with other evidence which currently is battled over in their lengthy, enduring legal battle. And now Carey claims that Azarian stockpiled damaging information which she leaked to the Daily Mart. The latter occurred right after the ex-assistant attempted to get $8 million dollars from the songstress.

The articles then released by the news outlet showed how Carey went on lavish spending sprees on cosmetic surgeries, which included a $10K butt-enhancing injection and a $273K two-day designer bender on Christmas Eve in 2016. Such transactions were hidden and done on Azarian’s American Express credit card. The singer was also accused cheating on her billionaire ex-fiance James Packer with her current boyfriend, Bryan Tanaka. And now, Carey is looking to get $5 million dollars in damages because Lianna breached a confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement which she signed back when she was hired in March 2015.

Bernie Sanders Wants To Cancel All Student Loan Debt By Taxing Wall Street

The 2020 elections are coming up and political candidates are readying their promises to the people in hopes to win the race. Of the numerous candidates at hand, we have Bernie Sanders who is running once more for fice. The Senator says he wants to have everyone’s student loan debt erased his plan. We would be looking at a total roughly $1.6 trillion dollars in debt currently owed by more than 40 million Americans. And how would we possibly be able to erase such debt? It appears taxing Wall Street is the answer, according to Sanders. Bernie confirms that his plan will entail taxing hefty Wall Street transactions such as stock and bond trades based on reports by CBS News.

“All Americans will get the college education or job training they need while having all student debt forgiven,” Bernie tweeted. “We bailed out Wall Street in 2008. It’s time to tax Wall Street’s greed to help the American people,” shared the presidential candidate. Sanders, however, would not be the only Democratic candidate making such a promise. A few months ago, Elizabeth Warren also announced her plan to forgive student loan debt for college graduates by adding a new annual tax on wealth above $50 million.

Max Kellerman Savagely Roasts Ryan Hollins After James Harden MVP Take

Ryan Hollins’ broadcasting career has been a lot like his NBA career, underwhelming. That word is probably a bit an understatement when you consider all the Ls he has taken at the hands Max Kellerman ESPN’s First Take this past year. Whenever Hollins gets on the show, he goes with the most contrarian points possible and it usually leads to some pretty ridiculous television that is hard to take seriously. Either way, Hollins is on TV and I’m not so what do I know?

Anyways, Hollins and Kellerman were debating the NBA Awards last night and who should have won the MVP award. Kellerman felt like Giannis Antetokounmpo was a deserving winner while Hollins argued that Harden should have won. This led Kellerman into a soliloquy about how great Giannis is and even led to a pretty great roast.

“Imagine a guy your size but really good at basketball,” Kellerman told Hollins. These types jabs are common for Kellerman who seems more comfortable debating the former NBA player than he does Stephen A. Smith. Regardless, it makes for some pretty hilarious TV since it takes away from the horrendous takes being spewed on the screen.

If sports analysis doesn’t work out for Hollins, he will certainly have a long a fruitful career in the Big 3.
