Zoe Kravitz Speaks On Her Eating Disorder Of Over 10 Years

You might think that because her surname, Zoe Kravitz has had it easy. In some ways, you would be correct. The daughter Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet has name power to her advantage. Growing up though, she never knew if she was getting callbacks because her talent or because her family though and that ate at her inside. She revealed recently that she’s suffered with an eating disorder for over a decade and in a new feature with British Vogue, she explained what she’s dealt with over the years.

The thirty-year-old is the cover star British Vogue and in the new issue, she speaks candidly about her romantic partner Karl Glusman, her insecurities and even her ten-year eating disorder. When she was thirteen, Kravitz developed an eating disorder that would stick around for the next ten years. “I think it came from a lot things,” said the actress. “My mother was so beautiful and so tiny, I always felt clunky around her, and then my dad was always surrounded by supermodels… I was short, and you feel uncomfortable in your skin anyway at that age.”

Kravitz also opened up about her insecurities, saying that she was never sure if people liked her for her talent or just for her last name. “When I got into acting school, I never knew if it was because my audition or my last name,” she said. “But I’m slowly learning that no director will hire me because my surname. The first 10 years my career have been about proving myself. I now finally feel like I’m in a place where I’m able to say, ‘I deserve this,’ and, ‘I worked really hard.’ I’m getting better.”

The complete interview will be published in British Vogue on June 7.

Future Fans Defending Rapper After Ciara’s "Red Table Talk" About Him

Yesterday, Ciara sat down with the matriarchs the Smith family to discuss how she developed her “beauty marks.” The term was used to describe how she’s grown over the years, leaving behind toxic relationships and finding her true love with Russell Wilson. She spoke about how she would be crying in the shower and all over the place during her relationship with Future and when she romantically connected with Wilson, she finally felt a sense calm pour over her soul. Fans have been digesting the interview for hours and after watching it, both sides have differing opinions. On one side, Ciara is being praised for speaking her truth and recognizing that she had to leave her ex to find true love. On the other hand, Future‘s fans are sticking up for him and forming a wall in front the Freebandz General.

It’s not uncommon to see Future getting dragged across the internet after Ciara does, well, anything. People were rooting for Fewtch and CiCi to succeed but she turned out just fine without the Atlanta rapper, levelling all the way up to the highest-paid player in the NFL. While the majority people are giving it up to Ciara for heading to a large platform like Red Table Talk to speak about her personal life, others are happy for Future that he ended up getting left in the dirt by his pop star partner. “I’m glad future left that toxic relationship,” wrote one fan, while another remarked how Ciara couldn’t even mention her ex by name.

If you watched the special episode Red Table Talk, what did you think the way Ciara addressed her break-up with Future?

Drug Kingpin El Chapo Denied Outdoor Time & Earplugs So He Won’t Escape

Since his timely incarceration, Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman has been sitting in jail since he was found guilty on all counts. The drug lord the Sinaloa Cartel was one the world’s most wanted criminals who previously managed to successfully escape prior to being nabbed on a conspiracy to launder narcotics proceeds, international distribution cocaine, heroin, marijuana, and other drugs along with the use firearms. After an escape in 2015, the cartel leader was caught in 2016 and then extradited to the US in 2017 to face his fate. Since then, he’s been jailed in a maximum facility prison. Following his sentence, El Chapo demanded a retrial which was denied and shortly afterward, he claimed to be under “cruel” prison conditions which the prosecutors deemed to be false.

Herein, El Chapo stated to be deprived both sunlight and air, to not be getting enough exercise or water and to be in need earplugs because the prison sounds were too loud for him to properly sleep. Now, TMZ fers updates on the claims. According to the source, the former Mexican drug kingpin filed a motion to get 2 hours outdoors time and access to the general populations’ commissary to purchase things. He also requested earplugs, but the judge was not having any it. Considering his two previous escapes, letting Chapo out too much is risky. In addition, the judge does not want the druglord to acquire anything from commissary because he could easily turn it into a weapon. Lastly, earplugs are out the question in the event that he needs to hear guards during an emergency.

The KD logo is found on the medial side the shoe, as well as the tongue, all while a black Nike swoosh dresses the outside.

Bose Tells Federal Judge to Dismiss Wiretapping and Eavesropping Class-Action Lawsuit

Two years ago, Kyle Zak, a consumer from Chicago, purchased a $350 pair of Bose wireless headphones.

Unbeknownst to him, the company s the details of music and audio files he listened to.  Represented by consumer privacy firm Edelson PC, through its Connect app, Bose then transmits this data along with customers’ personal identifiers to third parties, including data miners.

Consumers have no idea this is happening, said Zak and Edelson PC.  So, they filed a class-action lawsuit against the company.

Filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division, Zak listed five causes of action against Bose.

First, the company violated the Federal Wiretap Act.  First established in 1968, the Wiretap Act prohibits intentional “interception” of “wire, oral, or electronic communications.”  Second, the headphones/speaker company violated the Illinois Eavesdropping Statute.  Third, Bose intruded upon the seclusion of Kyle Zak and other consumers.  Dubbed Intrusion Upon Seclusion (a special form of invasion of privacy), the company knowingly transmitted consumer Media information.  Fourth, the company’s actions directly violate the Illinois Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practice Act (ICFA).  Fifth, Bose benefited from hidden collection data.  Titled Unjust Enrichment, the company disclosed consumer information to third-party without any knowledge or content.

Two months ago, U.S. District Court judge Andrea Wood Zak’s key wiretapping claim.  He can’t claim the Connect app illegally “intercepted” the names and duration of songs he streamed on Spotify.

Simply put, Wood found Zak failed to show Bose was a “party” to the communication.

The company couldn’t willfully “intercept” this information.  Thus, Bose hadn’t violated federal wiretapping law.

Yet, Judge Wood refused to drop another key claim.  Bose has allegedly breached Illinois’ Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act.  The company has reportedly misled consumers about how it collects and then subsequently shares data.

In a 17-page decision, she noted,

The court finds that Zak has pleaded an [Illinois Consumer Fraud Act] violation sufficient to survive the motion to dismiss stage.

Now, in an attempt to survive in court, Bose has filed a motion to dismiss the class action lawsuit.

“Please, please, please make this case go away.”

Last Friday, the company told Judge Wood to “permanently toss” Zak’s wiretapping claims.

Bose said his second amended class-action complaint against the company only makes “limited and superficial” changes.  Zak’s latest filing merely adds “window dressing.”

He had attempted to once again push the wiretapping claims against the company instead of pushing forward with Judge Wood’s original ruling, which allowed the Illinois Consumer Fraud Act violation accusation against Bose to proceed.

Arguing the company hadn’t actually violated wiretapping and eavesdropping law, Bose wrote,

Inadequate disclosure — and not illegal interception — has always been the nature of plaintiff’s claim, which is why the court properly dismissed his Wiretap and Eavesdropping Act claims.

In addition, Zak had “knowingly and deliberately installed, opened, and used the Bose Connect App with streaming music services.”  Plus, intercepting track titles played on music streaming services, including Spotify, can’t be considered ‘content’ under existing wiretapping laws.

If it were the content of the communication it would be the song itself — music and lyrics.  But plaintiff alleges only that the app collects record information each time he presses the track forward or backward button.

“This demonstrates that what is occurring is not an interception of a communication, but rather the logging of one… Plaintiff does not allege that the Bose [app] listens to — or can even access — the songs or podcasts themselves, but only that it logs record information about those songs and podcasts, like the name of the track.

Thus, Judge Wood should once again dismiss Zak’s wiretapping claims.

KAWS X UNIQLO Collection Elicits Insane Reaction From Chinese Shoppers

UNIQLO is an incredibly popular Japanese fashion and streetwear brand that features some pretty great graphics designs at inexpensive prices. Last summer, the brand teamed up with Sesame Street and street artist KAWS for a great collaboration that was one the biggest hits the season. Now, the two have teamed up once again except this time, Sesame Street is no longer a part the equation. Today, the collection dropped in China and let’s just say the reaction was pretty incredible.

Shoppers lined up outside stores and immediately rushed to the aisles as soon as they opened. It was absolute pandemonium inside some these stores as shoppers pushed each other out the way and climbed on top mannequins just to cop some t-shirts. In the Twitter video below, you can even see one shopper take a shirt right f the mannequin and try to buy it.

Coca-Cola Is Thinking Of Releasing Coffee-Infused Coke In The U.S.

Coca-Cola has come out with a plethora flavors over the years with some being much more successful than others. Humans are creatures habit so when they taste something they’re not used to, sometimes there is some heavy push back. Well, that’s exactly what happened in 2006 when the soda company released Coca-Cola Blak to the world which was a cfee-flavored take on the classic drink. Americans were pretty opposed to the beverage and after a while, it was discontinued.

Over the past year, Coca-Cola has released an updated version the cfee-infused drink called Coca-Cola Plus Cfee, which has been sold in countries like Australia, Italy, Spain, Thailand, and Poland. The drink has been catching on and now, the brand believes the beverage could work in the United States.

“That was a trend before its time,” the company’s chief technical ficer, Nancy Quan told CNN Business. “I don’t think people were ready to have a cfee portfolio within the Coca-Cola brand.”

By the end this year, Coca-Cola plans to introduce the drink in 25 other countries which will truly put it to the test. Caffeinated drinks are nothing new and have been on the upswing over the years so a cfee flavored Coke doesn’t seem like too much a stretch the imagination.

Would you want to drink this or is it a hard pass?

Kemba Walker Talks NBA Free Agency: "Charlotte’s Definitely My First Priority"

Beyond the Kevin Durant‘s and Kawhi Leonard’s, there isn’t much separating Kemba Walker from the rest the free agent class in 2019. In fact, outside Kyrie Irving and the two I just mentioned, Walker might just be the most sought-after commodity on the open market. He’s adamantly stated within the past few months, that he feels no obligation to re-sign with the Hornets. Kemba is in the prime years a respectable NBA career, and yes: he’d like the chance to suit up as the co-lead or second option on a real contender.

Kemba Walker Talks NBA Free Agency: "Charlotte's Definitely My First Priority"

Brock Williams-Smith/NBAE Getty s

“I want to win; I want to win,” Walker told the Charlotte Observer in the month April. “That’s something that I’m going to have to really sit down and think about with my family, with my agent, with the people closest to me in my life that will help me make that decision.”

And yet, Kemba’s sentimental side always comes into focus when the local media is present. As per Jared Weiss The Athletic, Kemba was recently quoted as saying, “Charlotte’s definitely my first priority, that’s where I’ve been for eight years and that’s all I know.” It seems as though, Kemba Walker cherishes the opportunity to be a loyal character in the current age. “Not many people get a chance to play for one NBA team throughout their career,” he explained to Weiss.

Evidently, there are a great number NBA franchises that would love to make his acquisition, most which can afford to pay him well over the “small market” wages that are likely to come up in preliminary discussion with the Hornets. We’ll have to see whether or not Kemba buckles under pressure. One thing’s for certain: he’ll be getting a raise on the below standard $12 million he earned last term.
