While fans are still gathering their thoughts vis-a-vis DJ Khaled‘s eclectic Father Of Asahd, fans have concluded that Big Sean‘s penultimate solo track “Thank You” stands among the highlights. Approached as a stream–consciousness, “Thank You” finds Sean reflecting on his rise to rap dominance, fering heartfelt praise to those who helped along the way. Among them, DJ Khaled, whom Sean grounds with a little backstory for context. “Who would’ve thought that DJ that was on 6 to 10 right there on 99 Jamz, screamin’, “We the best” would’ve had all the execs eatin’ right out his hands?” he ponders, making it known that much Khaled’s influence extends beyond the scope the public eye.

As the song concludes, Sean takes a moment to acknowledge, without naming names course, the impact Ariana Grande and Jhene Aiko. While the latter marked his most recent relationship, the lyric ultimately centers around the former, given the direct reference to “Thank U, Next.” “Plus I gotta thank my exes on some “thank u, next” shit,” he raps. “And all the old times that gave me new perspectives.” Though hardly direct, those who choose to follow the social courting rituals celebrity couples will likely find themselves donning the detective’s cap once again.
In any case, it’s refreshing to see Sean opt for cordiality, and one has to wonder if either Grande or Aiko will acknowledge his acknowledgment. Especially if “Thank You” is meant to signal the arrival a newfound Sean season, as has recently been teased by the Detroit rapper’s increased activity. From the sound it, his new deal will serve to launch Don Life Records, and help put emerging Detroit rappers on the map as Khaled once helped do for him. What do you think?
New York, New York – Given the success of his recent album, Role Model, Young Dolph has been fairly quiet in 2019, so far. It appears now it’s time to apply pressure, though, as Dolph shares his first effort of the year the video for the single “Crashin’ Out.”
The Memphis native shared a clip of the then-unreleased track to his Instagram account on Monday, (May 13.)
“40,000,000 comments and I’ll drop this new shit,” Dolph teased in the caption of the video with the snippet.
Everywhere you go, it seems people are displeased with the lack “character development” in the final season Game Thrones. Mind you, the very people voice their displeasure (week in, week out) are tuning in (week in, week out), creating pervasive rhetoric in the process.
Season 8 can’t be overturned on such short notice, but that hasn’t stopped a large swath GOT fans from devising what they hope will be a game-changing petition. The plan is to force Game Of Thrones’ showrunners to accept a mulligan, thereby forcing enforcing a re-do on Season 8. Beginning with Jon and Dany’s arrival at Winterfell, there’s a naive hope that with enough pressure, the showrunners will yield to their demands, abandon ship on the remaining episodes, then start from scratch on a new Season 8.
As this writing, just under 830,000 hostile GOT fans have signed the petition on Change.org – titled “Remake Game Thrones Season 8 with competent writers.” Inevitably, not every scriptwriting is designed to appease each and every fan. Some characters get disposed too early in the timeline for some people’s liking.
Others are growing weary a character dissolution, the kind TV nerds ten associate with Star Trek The Next Generation and their axing the “Tasha Yar” character in unceremonious fashion. GOT fans, this is your chance to get it out in the open: is the writing really that poor, or are you just having a tough time letting go?
New York City, NY – After first teasing a collaboration back in March, DJ Premier officially premiered a new single on Thursday (May 16) Beats 1 featuring Westside Gunn, Conway The Machine, and Benny The Butcher. According to Preem himself, the track, “Headlines,” has been a long time coming.
“I’ve wanted to do a record with them individually for a few years now,” the iconic DJ and producer noted a press statement. “I had been listening to Westside Gunn first. Conway got my lyrical attention very heavy when Alchemist told me to listen to how he rhymes.”
“Working with Preemo was surreal and watching him cook from scratch; I still can’t believe the record is done,” Westside Gunn said statement about the collaboration. “This is just the beginning of our cook up and definitely one of the only things on my bucket list.”
A Jason Goldwatch directed visual for the song was filmed in Griselda’s home turf of Buffalo is dropping soon. Goldwatch is responsible for videos like Dilated Peoples’ “Worst Comes to Worst” and Common and Sadat X’s “1999” — among a host others.

XXL is here to remind us that print media is still long ways from becoming obsolete, or so they hope. The point is, they managed to link up with DJ Khaled ahead Father Asahd’s drop date. Upon meeting at his $21.8 million mansion in Miami, Khaled and XXL had already put pen to paper on an agreement that would see an exclusive 32-page edition the magazine put into circulation.
“This is my 11th album so I’m making sure that I’m evolving,” Khaled told XXL during their meet and greet. “But at the same time, I’m changing the game. I’ve been watching the game. I felt like a lot good music came out but only a handful the great shit has come out]. So, with Father Asahd, everybody, I mean everybody will have to go back in the studio and analyze what they are doing and analyze how they are going to give it to the world.”
Khaled created a mirror image XXL’s posting with one his own, with demands that his face take up every page the magazine. “Rise and shine! #FATHEROFASAHD here! Just starting your day with …NEW COVER ALERT!! @xxl asked me to be on the cover I said… GIMME THE WHOLE MAGAZINE!” DJ Khaled with the same palpable intensity he brings to every seminar. Pick up your copy in-store, and check out Father Asahd (before you do) while you’re at it.
Game shared a black and white photo himself and captioned the image by writing that he realizes sharing pictures and memories Nipsey every day may be doing a disservice to the slain rapper’s loved ones who are grieving his loss. The “All Eyes” rapper stated that he wants to continue motivating the masses with his Nipsey-inspired messages, so he’s considering hosting his online “#MarathonMondays” as a day encouragement. He wants his followers to use the remaining six days as periods reflection.
The Game wrote:
I woke up today with a bunch mixed emotions as sometimes we as humans do. My 1st thought was to find another inspiring picture Nip & post it because I know there are thousands, maybe millions you who use it & the messages below it as daily motivation. Then I thought, for his wife & family most who follow me… might be saddened by the constant reminders not just on my page but everywhere they look online & on social media making it harder for them to find peace. So, I then sat on my bed in deep thought as to how to service all you, continue giving you daily jewels as well as his memory all while respecting his woman & his families grieving period… When I started the #OneNipPostADayTiliFadeAway I did it with pure intentions honoring my homie & his memory as I know he would’ve given his heart to servicing my memory if the same had happened to me. I didn’t think how it’s consistency would make those closest to him feel as my posts have a long reach. In no way shape or form did posting my n*gga daily do anything for me outside making it harder for even myself to accept the reality his passing. But as the days & the posts grew, I saw the positive effect it had on the many people who read them & that gave me a lot joy, so I continued them. I am now at the crossroads what to do or how to continue these motivational posts, service bros memory & give those whose wounds are re-opened with every reminder their tranquility. I can’t bring myself to totally stop posting my brother as my heart will not allow it & I have my own marathon to continue in his memory. I think the best option for me at this point will be to maybe do it once a week & call it #MarathonMondays. Let me know what you guys think… & I will use the other 6 days the week to continue giving you daily motivation and hope that it will give you the same fuel the previous posts have. Use today as a reminder how short life is & seize the moment for tomorrow is not promised to any us. If any part the above mentioned disappointed you, my apologies. I come to you in my most humbled state asking that you truly find understanding in my decisions. #TheMarathonContinues
Do you think it was time for The Game to call it quits on his Nipsey Hussle posts?

A Danish politician is committed to the cause and you gotta applaud him for it. Former Olympic shot putter-turned-politician, Joachim Olsen, took an unusual route in trying to gain visibility ahead the upcoming election in Denmark. Instead simply creeping in between YouTube videos with paid advertisements, he’s targeting people on another popular video streaming site. Olsen, a member the center-right Liberal Alliance party, posted an ad on PornHub as a means to gain more voters.

Olsen confirmed on social media that he did indeed put up an ad on PornHub encouraging Danish voters to “vote for Jokke” — a pun on both his nickname and a similar-sounding Danish slang term for masturbation — after the website’s visitors are done handling their business, course. “Yes, it’s me on PornHub,” he confirmed on Facebook.
He spoke to DR (Danish Broadcasting Corporation) this past weekend explaining that, “You have to go out everywhere, and then we thought it might be fun to make an ad on Pornhub.” He continued, “Half the internet is porn. And you have to be where the voters are. Also on a porn site.”
On Twitter, he took aim at his rival, Rasmus Paludan, the founder and leader the anti-immigrant party Hardline. “There is no limit to how far I will go for the nation. If it takes an ad on the pornstar to keep Rasmus Paludan out foreign media, I’ll take one for the team,” he said.
Olsen later acknowledged that he knew there would be a backlash to the ad before fully committing to posting it online. The elections are scheduled to be held on June 5th.
On the eve of her album release, Megan Thee Stallion keeps it “Realer” than real with her latest track.
On the bossy anthem, which serves as the intro to her album Fever, the Houston rapper shouts out City Girls’ JT (“Free JT”) and demands respect (“Put some respect on my team / I’m the 1501 queen”) while putting the competition on notice. “I’m a real rap bitch, this ain’t no pop shit,” declares Hot Girl Meg.
Fever, which showcases Meg’s college-partying persona, drops tonight featuring appearances from DaBaby and Juicy J. The 14-track project follows last summer’s Tina Snow, which spawned the breakout hit “Big Ole Freak.”
Steph has applauded his wife for her openness despite the judgments, and the basketball wife’s latest comments have yet again sparked a discussion…this time about race and colorism in the black community. Born in Canada to a Jamaican and Chinese mother and a Black and Polish father, Ayesha moved to North Carolina when she was 14-years-old. “Everyone was from a place other than Canada and that’s how you identified yourself, not black or white,” she told Working Mother Magazine. “I identified as Jamaican because that’s where my mom came from. In the States I’m simply ‘black.'”
Ayesha also said that she’s had to teach her daughters that they are black girls, despite the lightness their skin tone. “They’re fair in complexion, and they’ve said: ‘I’m not black; look at my skin.’ And I said: ‘No, no, no. You’re a black woman. You have melanin. It’s part who you are. Our descendants are from Africa. This is what that means.’ It’s been a journey teaching them that, and that black comes in many different shades.”
She continued, “My own community needs to embrace everyone better. Sometimes I feel like I’m too black for the white community, but I’m not black enough for my own community. That’s a hard thing to carry. That’s why my partnership with CoverGirl was special for me because I felt like I didn’t fit the mold a CoverGirl],” Ayesha added, “I’m not in the entertainment industry, in the traditional sense. I’m not thin; I’m 170 pounds on a good day. It’s been a journey for me, and that’s why I want my girls to understand who they are—and to love it.”
Knicks fans across the country were absolutely crushed last night when they lost the Zion Williamson sweepstakes to the New Orleans Pelicans, and many them took to social media to express their frustration. That included ESPN host, and long-suffering Knicks fan, Stephen A. Smith.
Shortly after the Knicks failed to land the top pick, Smith posted his reaction video to twitter, in which he assured fellow Knicks fans that the team would’ve tried to trade Zion to New Orleans anyway.
“Typical Knicks, man,” Smith said. “They get close. They tease us. Then they wouldn’t get it done. I know the Knicks were denying it. I know the Knicks had everybody believing that if they got the No. 1 overall pick they were going to hold on to Zion. But I’m hear to tell you that no matter what they tell anybody, they were thinking about moving their pick for Anthony Davis.”
After sleeping on it, Stephen A seems to have come to terms with the third pick, and warmed to the possibility RJ Barrett being a star in New York. Just kidding.
In fact, Smith was even more fired up today than he was last night. First, he vented about his frustrations on ESPN’s “Get Up!” His meltdown continued later this afternoon on his radio show.
Check out the videos embedded below for a recap Smith’s terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day.
Lindsay Lohan has essentially been taking L’s ever since Mean Girls which marked the peak her career. Since then, her bizarre behavior’s turned her into a walking punchline for the media as well as the rest Hollywood. At one point in time, Lindsay Lohan hung out with Hollywood’s elite socialites such as Paris Hilton who she partied with in the mid-2000s. Unfortunately, things between them have soured to the point where Paris Hilton isn’t able to say a single nice thing about the disgraced actress.
Blac took Wendy back to the days when she was with Tyga and how she knew their relationship was over when he kicked her out his mansion to be with the then 17-year-old Kylie Jenner. Wendy asked Blac how she knew that Tyga had linked with Kylie at the time where she detailed how she didn’t see them kissing but knew “they were definitely together.”
“The way it went about publicly wasn’t right. Even not publicly it wasn’t right,” Blac said the drama with the family. “So Tyga started dating Kylie, after that happened, that’s when, course, the family was like, ‘Well, bye girl’ and threw me underneath the bus.”
As for Blac’s series, the mother two told Wendy that she’s trying to get her mom, Tokyo Toni on board for the show (who she’s had lots drama with) as well as Rob Kardashian. The show will premiere this summer on Zeus.
“I think it’s an extraordinary shift for us,” Pelinka said. “I mean, top-five picks in the draft, if you go back in the history and study them, those picks can alter and impact franchises.”

He also went on to say that there is a possibility they use the pick as a piece for a potential trade, which could yield an established impact player.
“This is a powerful asset for us,” Pelinka explained. “We owe a commitment to our fans to have an outstanding season next year. What this does is it gives us the ability to either select an impact player at 4 or possibly use this as an extremely valuable asset in trade.”
If the Lakers do decide to trade the pick, they will most likely be looking towards New Orleans and their star player Anthony Davis.
