Kemba Walker will be eligible for a five-year supermax contract worth $221.3 million this summer. Walker has stated in the past that his heart is with the Charlotte Hornets and that his priority in the fseason would be to resign with the team he has spent his career with. While Hornets fans will be happy to hear about his allegiance to the team, it should come as a surprise to no one that there are plenty teams throughout the league who are looking at pursuing Walker in free agency.
During an ESPN Mock Draft special on Tuesday night, basketball insider Adrian Wojnarowski spoke about the free agent period and which teams are interested in Walker. There are some pretty high prile teams on the list including the Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, and the Dallas Mavericks.
Walker can only sign the supermax deal with Charlotte as other teams can only give him a maximum four years at $140.6 million. Should the Hornets give him the full supermax, it would come as a shock if he didn’t sign it on the spot.
The Hornets star is one many huge stars on the free agent market this Summer. Should he decide to relocate, he will surely help in reshaping the NBA for next season.
Drake was in his feelings after Kevin Durant’s injury during the NBA Finals.
Despite their rivalry on the court, the Toronto rapper was visibly shaken up after seeing the Golden State Warriors small forward suffer a serious Achilles injury during the second quarter as the Warriors took on the Toronto Raptors during Game 5 on Monday (June 10).
While some Raptors fans cheered, Drake appeared to be devastated for his friend. As Durant hobbled past him, the 6 God reached out and grabbed his shoulder while trying to console him. At one point, he even appeared to mouth the word “f**k.”
Durant will have an MRI to confirm if his Achilles tendon is torn and will miss the rest of the Finals because of the injury. On Tuesday morning, Drizzy took to Instagram to send KD some words of encouragement.
“Was tough for any of us to even enjoy that game tonight after seeing this transpire. Praying for our brother,” said Champagne Papi. “That’s my only concern tonight is your well being. ‘The game needs me’ is an understatement when it comes to 35. Please wish the best for this true warrior.”

16-time WWE champion John Cena is more Hollywood actor than pressional wrestler nowadays, as he is now gearing up for a role in Fast & Furious 9.
The 42-year old future Hall Famer may not be as active in the ring as he once was, but if there’s one thing we’ve learned from Vince McMahon and the WWE it’s that they have no problem bringing back talent even when they’re well over the hill.
Just last week, Undertaker and Goldberg, both whom are over 50 years old, squared f for the first time ever in the main event WWE’s Super ShowDown event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The result was awful, as the two WWE legends were on the verge seriously injuring one another as the match mercifully came to an end.
In regards to that brutal match between Undertaker and Goldberg, which had wrestling fans pleading for them to call it quits for good, Cena revealed to TMZ Sports that he has recently been thinking about retiring from pressional wrestling himself.
“I think an individual’s career is up to the individual. I think that’s pretty much the way I can describe that. I’ve been having the same conversation with myself and I’m only 42. But I – it’s something we’ve got to address each day. That’s individually specific. When those people are ready to stop, they’ll stop.”
“I’m older now, I just turned 42. I watch WWE on a regular basis and the talent is getting faster and more precise, and I’ve always been referred to as ‘unorthodox’ so I’m not exactly the most precise. They don’t need me, I am grateful for everyone who says ‘we miss you,’ and there was a time when I could genuinely say from a financial standpoint that they needed me, that time is up.”
Cena last wrestled in a singles match at WWE’s Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudia Arabia in April 2018, where he defeated Triple H. He also made an appearance as the “Doctor Of Thuganomics” at Wrestlemania 35 a few months ago, but he has not been appeared on WWE programming since.
ScHoolboy Q‘s stellar album Crash Talkarrived at the end April and came equipped with 14-tracks with the likes Lil Baby, Kid Cudi, 21 Savage, Travis Scott and more. The arrival the tape made ScHoolboy the happiest he’s been in his whole life and it seems as though he’s hesitant to do anything that could take him out his euphoric state. The “Numb Numb Juice” rapper had some time to reply to some fans on Twitter, eager to know when he will be hitting the road to perform his latest project.

“Drop tHe tour dates ugly boi I’m tryna see the legend live again,” a user tweeted at ScHoolboy Q, prompting him to reply: “I jus like rapping bro…. if I do tour again it a be a sHort one… life been Hella good man.. I literally neva been tHis Happy my wHole life I jus wanna watcH my daugHter play soccer.”
“The album was supposed to come out last November. Mentally, I wasn’t there, or physically,” ScHoolboy said his tape. “It just wasn’t supposed to come out. Then Nip died. It was supposed to come out last week. We weren’t expecting Nip to die. I wanted to push it f even further than what I pushed it; I just pushed it back a week. We had so much shit lined up, dude. It was so much.”
Finally, it’s here in full and we couldn’t be happier.
Nobody’s business is safe when Lil Duval is around, apparently. The comedian took to Instagram claiming that he was the only person who didn’t spend any 50 Cent’s money but among those that did were Fabolous, Trey Songz, and Bow Wow. “Y’all see all the money in bow wow pants? THATS 50 shit,” Duval captioned a video with Bow Wow, Trey and Fabolous throwing money. “trey and fab owe 50 too.”
Bow Wow clapped back immediately at Duval, before flipping the script on him and saying that the comedian owes him money. “Don’t watch my pockets, I watch me. Matter fact, I’mma charge your ass for helping your big headed, little body ass up on that bar last night. I’mma charge you,” he said. “You see, ain’t nobody pick your little ass up. I picked your little ass up and put you on the bar next to all us. That’s about $1000 right there. Courtesy fee.”
Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, NY – Torrential rains and an unfortunate helicopter accident in nearby Manhattan weren’t enough to detract the thousands of people that showed up in the Clinton Hill section of Brooklyn, NY, to witness history in the making.
The corner of Fulton Street and St. James Avenue — once located in a redlined district — got a new name on Monday, June 10, 2019: Christopher “Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace Way, named of course for the late, great Biggie Smalls.
The street naming was a historic event that was years in the making: B.I.G. is the first rapper of his kind to be honored in such a way, but previous attempts to name the street in his honor were shut down by activists who claimed that he was a “bad influence” on Brooklyn youth.
For City Councilman Robert Cornegy Jr. — who grew up just one floor down from the Wallace family at 226 St. James Place, just up the road from the street corner named in the late rapper’s honor — the street naming was a long time coming.
“This sign is important today — so that the history of this place is told to our children and our children’s children,” he told the crowd, echoing earlier sentiments about gentrification concerns and the rising number of black men lost to gun violence.
For activist and NYC public advocate Jumaane Williams — who admitted he was “fangirling” at the sight of some of his early 1990s Hip Hop idols — naming the street in honor of the Ready to Die rapper was as much a political statement as it was a pop culture statement. The 1960s, he said, had “Malcolm and Martin” to spread the word of black pride; Biggie and Pac were their 1990s analogs and deserved to be honored in the same way as the fallen civil rights leaders.
As was to be expected, the crowd went wild when Lil’Kim and the rest of the Junior M.A.F.I.A. stepped to the microphone to honor their fallen mentor. The Queen Bee reminded the audience that she & her comrades were the ones “shooting in the gym” with Biggie, and that even though she and the other members of the Junior M.A.F.I.A. “went through their stuff,” it was their love of Biggie Smalls that continued to unite — and reunite — them.
“This block, it belongs to Biggie,” she said. “He always had a vision, and I feel like today was part of his vision.”
But before she went, Lil’Kim promised the audience that “as long as I’m around — and until the day that I die — I won’t ever forget Biggie, and I will always teach our history.”
Before the unveiling, Voletta Wallace — mother of the Notorious B.I.G. — took to the microphone to share her thoughts, as well. While she was quick to remind the audience that the naming couldn’t go forward without her approval, she took the time to show her appreciation to the thousands of fans in attendance, as well.
“I want to thank you for standing out there in the rain to see a sign unveiled. That is love,” she said. “You out there, soaking wet? I will remember this for a long, long time.”
But, she said, she was also quick to remember that none of this would be possible if, indeed, Biggie were still alive today. Wallace made clear that the wound of her son’s still-unsolved murder was just as fresh today as it was back in 1997.
However, she said that while she still mourns her late son, she takes comfort in the love of her family (a family that includes Biggie’s son and daughter, both of whom were in attendance) and of the love Biggie continues to receive to this day.
“It was a sad day,” she said. “And when I saw the crowds, tears came to my eyes. And I said to my friend, ‘My son was well-loved.’”
Jennifer Lopez performed at The Forum in Los Angeles on Friday night, kicking f her “It’s My Party: The Live Celebration” tour. The “Medicine” singer brought out someone special for her performance and it was none other than her 11-year-old daughter, Emme. The only daughter Jennifer has proven before that she knows how to sing and now she’s had the opportunity to show it to her mom’s adoring fans.
Emme and Jennifer performed “Limitless” from her movie Second Act and the mother-daughter duo wore matching outfits as they sang their hearts out. “I can’t take it! #Emme #Limitless #ProudMama #JLoItsMyParty,” Jennifer captioned the video.
“It’s natural. Emme could always sing. I remember when she was in the crib, when she was a baby, she used to be humming, like, really humming to herself. And Marc would say, ‘She’s singing, it feels good to her, it feels good to her soul and to her body,’ because he was like that. I was like, ‘You think she’s singing?’ And he was like, ‘Yeah, yeah.’ And he was right, and she’s always, since she was little, she could always sing.”
Wendy Williams has had a rough go at things as late. She broke down recently speaking about her estranged husband Kevin Hunter but during that video, she may have been sitting right next to her new man. Wendy recently posted a photo herself getting close to an unidentified man during her vacation in Los Angeles. She hasn’t outright confirmed that she’s dating this guy yet but according to TMZ, she feels so comfortable around him that she’s headed back to New York City and she’s bringing him with her.
According to the report, Williams met her new boo on Saturday during her chill time with Blac Chyna and in a few short days, they’ve gotten pretty close. She is reportedly not ready to start a full-blown relationship with the man yet but she does like him enough to fly him out to the East Coast to spend more time together. He is reportedly in his late twenties, which makes him significantly younger than the talk show host. Wendy is already even joking about the age difference she shares with him, hashtagging a photo with “#oldenoughtobeyourmother.”
The media outlet reports that the man driving with her from Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles this weekend was indeed her new boy-toy. During the video, she apologized to him before breaking down in tears. He did not seem to be too weirded out by her display emotion. We’ll likely be seeing more these two around the news.
The Associated Press arranged for a telephone interview with O.J. Simpson a few days ago to learn his fate post-incarceration. According to AP correspondent Linda Deutsch, who transcribed the whole conversation, O.J. is at peace with his current setup. The maligned public figure went as far as to describe his current mental state as a “no negative zone” – a startling revelation given the traumatic circumstances his adult life.
Unless you were born yesterday, there’s no shortage answers to O.J. overflowing case file. He was found “not guilty” in the murder his estranged spouse and her boyfriend – then in the 2000s, when his money ran dry – he resorted to hawking his NFL memorabilia with criminal intent, and kidnapping charges that ultimately led to his incarceration.
“We don’t need to go back and relive the worst day our lives,” Simpson told Linda Deutsch. “The subject the moment is the subject I will never revisit again. My family and I have moved on to what we call the ‘no negative zone.’ We focus on the positives.”
Regardless what you make his sociopathic tendencies, Simpson’s decision to live outside the media spotlight is a complete 180 from his social habits old. Whether that decision was born out necessity, no one knows for certain. O.J. currently resides in a far more desolate area – and to this day, he still maintains his bitterness over the way he was treated by the American public, and the court system, over his high-to-low prile criminal trials/convictions.

Chicago rapper Calboy is one the most exciting young prospects the rap game right now. He blew up with his single “Envy Me,” following that up with a solid project called Wildboy. Being touted as one the newest stars with the most potential, Calboy has tremendous plans for himself in the next five years. We made sure he was good when he was around our parts,” said the rising rapper. “He got to hear some the music, picked a few out that he rocks with himself. Stuff like that. We just connected really. He cool, he ain’t what a lot people think he is.”
As for Meek Mill, he has a different type bond with the Philadelphia artist. Calboy actually signed to Meek back in March, recognizing that his platform can help him to reach a whole new crowd folks. Meek appears on Wildboy with Young Thug and Lil Durk, meshing well with the 19-year-old Chicagoan and serving as somewhat a mentor to him. “I really don’t even know how it started,” said Calboy his relationship with Meek Mill. “I just woke up one morning and they started sending me videos Meek playing a song. He ain’t even posted the song yet, he mentioned me in an interview. He was doing an interview and he mentioned me in the interview. Everybody was sending it to me. They put it on all types blog sites like ‘Meek Mill mentions Calboy.’ He mentioned Polo G and Lil Zay Osama] too, not just me.”
When his friend reached out to Meek’s camp with an fer to connect both parties, everything ended up happening pretty quickly. More videos were posted online with Meek singing along to Calboy’s songs before they linked up to sign the deal.
