Bushwick Bill’s Daughter Issues Statement Condemning Faulty Death Reports

With every errant news report, goes the notion journalistic integrity, and to that end, the livelihood journalism as we once knew it. Evidently, it all comes down to social media and the means by which newsreels are created. Therein lies the issue with reporting on Bushwick Bill’s declining health: any revelations such belong to the newsreel, and in no way constitute “general content.”

Ironically it was TMZ who proved the faulty reports on Bushwick Bill’s death, to be completely untrue. As a result the mishap, the media outlets “in the wrong” were forced to reconstitute their writings in humiliating fashion. Their report indicated that although Bushwick was not dead, he was currently under hospital supervision, in the company his closest family and friends.

Within an hour the TMZ update, Bushwick Bill’s own daughter would assume his father’s Instagram handle in revealing the true nature his current condition – by which he also asked the media and the public for the utmost privacy during this trying time. Furthermore, Bushwick’s daughter decried the opportunistic nature and intentions the press, by stating the obvious: those who rush for news coverage don’t actually care for her father, or his longstanding legacy within the hip-hop community.

“Contrary to what has been prematurely, insensitively, and inaccurately posted/reported – My dad IS NOT dead, he’s still alive and fighting for his life. He needs your continued prayers and support,” he asked, on behalf his family. “Certain people have been so quick to write him f as dead so they can capitalize f it, and it’s messed up because yall really think these people care about him. There is no Geto Boys without Bushwick Bill. Please repost to help combat the fake news. Thank you @tmz_tv & @realdawn_p for the updated report. On behalf the family we’re requesting privacy until further notice.”

It’s that this time that I’d hope everyone, members the media included, takes heed to the example set by Bushwick’s daughter. For those who aren’t familiar with his cultural contributions (through no fault their own), now’s a good time to read up on his legacy (right here) and give the Geto Boys discography a much overdue spin. His daughter is well-advised to say, “There is no Geto Boys without Bushwick Bill.”

Stranger Things star David Harbour recently discussed the upcoming season and detailed how the finale is the “most moving.”

“Millie Eleven] is growing up and I think that’s the terrifying thing for Hopper. He doesn’t like the idea his baby daughter hanging out with boys,” David explained. “So the season starts with him a little bit uncomfortable. His daughter is becoming a teenager and beginning to find herself, so that’s scarier for Hopper than any Demogorgon creature that he’s going to have to deal with.”

He added: “You get to see a lot that throughout the season and it’s very unexpected what happens in the end and it’s very, very moving. I think episode eight is the most moving thing we’ve ever shot.”

Peep the latest trailer for season three below and let us know if you’ll be tuning in for the season three premiere that’s just weeks away.

Wendy Williams’ Son & Estranged Husband Still Not Talking After Parking Lot Altercation

Kevin Hunter Jr. punched his father in the face a couple weeks back after the duo got into an altercation in a parking lot weeks after Wendy Williams filed for divorce from her husband. Reports detailed how senior Kevin Hunter was telling his son to forge his own path since he felt that Wendy was “brainwashing” their son since their divorce. Junior wasn’t a fan and ultimately took Wendy’s side when he punched his dad, leading to his arrest.

TMZ now reports that Kevin and Kevin junior are by no means closer to mending their relationship and sources close to the family told the publication that Junior’s not taking his father’s attempts to patch things up. Apparently, Kevin Senior believes that he and his son should work things out for a better relationship and thinks Wendy has something to do with the fact that Kevin Junior isn’t budging.

In other Wendy news, the talk show host was recently spotted with a mystery man in Los Angeles when she stepped out to Craig’s in West Hollywood. Of course, the outing sparked rumors about the man being a possible new fling, but it was a questionable act since Wendy was still wearing her wedding ring.

While her marriage is definitely over, Wendy’s still deciding who she wants to couple up with next.

XXXTentacion "SAD!" Reaches 1 Billion Streams

It has been almost a year since XXXTENTACION has passed. The 20-year-old rapper was fatally shot in his car in Florida and the news indubitably shook the Hip Hop community. Since his passing, the rapper has gained greater popularity posthumously. For instance, we recently reported on the rapper leading the 2018 top songwriter’s list along with Drake and 6ix9ine. Rapper PnB Rock even named X among his top five best rappers. Furthermore, the late rapper scored a total  10 Billboard Award nominations which included Top Male Artist, Top Streaming Songs Artist, Top R&B Artist, Top R&B Male Artist and more. The latter only hinted at XXXTENTACION’s significant musical impact and so despite his short-lived career. And now, to add to the list many, a new record has been broken by the “Look At Me” artist.

SAD! XXXTENTACION’s ? the album has just reached over one billion streams on Spotify. The record was reported by DJ Akademics who shared the following numbers: “#xxxtentacion “SAD!” hits 1 billion plays on Spotify. It’s the 32nd song ever to hit a billion streams ever on the platform. Danny Brown Calls Sada Baby "The Best Rapper In Detroit"

Sada Baby might not be the most well-known name in rap right now but he’s undoubtedly on his way there. Between his charismatic personality and his skill set, he’s ten regarded as the next up from Detroit. He’s received praise from Tee Grizzley and ScHoolboy Q, and apparently, he has some work in the stash with Chris Brown. Another person who’s clearly a big fan Sada Baby is another Detroit MC by the name Danny Brown who dubbed Sada Baby the best rapper from the city.

Danny Brown refuses to be dubbed as the best rapper from Detroit. According to the XXX rapper, Sada Baby is the clear pick. A fan tweeted, “Danny Brown is the best rapper in Detroit right now. No one from there has dropped an album Atrocity Exhibition quality level recently.”

DB quickly reminded the timeline that Bartier Bounty was undoubtedly one the best projects the year by simply replying, “Sada Baby the best rapper in Detroit.”

Aside from his admiration Skuba Steve, Danny Brown’s currently getting ready for the release his forthcoming project, Uknowhatimsayin? The rapper announced the project earlier this year which is set to be executive produced entirely by Q-Tip. The rapper recently performed his new song at Primavera Sound festival. Peep that here.

Bhad Bhabie Fights With A Girl On Instagram Live Over NBA YoungBoy

A few months ago, “GG” rapper, NBA YoungBoy was involved in dating rumours with Bhad Bhabie, but the two them seemingly drifted apart. Seeing as Bhabie is only 16 years old, it was probably for the better. The rumours swirled back up though, when it was revealed that Bhad Bhabie had some new ink done on her hand, which people believed was YoungBoy’s first name “Kentrell,” until Bhabie took to Twitter to clear it all up, saying “fuck y’all talking bout. That shit say Kentucky.”

Last month, YoungBoy’s new girlfriend “Kay” taking to publicly supporting her man on Instagram after the two were involved in a fatal shooting in Miami, which resulted in the rapper getting a detention order. The public announcement should have put all discussion about YoungBoy and Bhabie to rest, but now it seems as if it’s about to be sparked up all over again following an incident over Instagram Live last night between Bhabie and another chick, seemingly involving the Louisiana native.

In a confused stream posts, the two went at it hardd, screaming at one another, with Bhabie resorting to pulling out receipts texts between her and YoungBoy. The other girl, who’s been identified as Malu Trevejo, can be seen smugly telling Bhabie to “relax” as Bhabie goes awff on her, claiming she “wants to be her] so bad.” Bhabie put all rumours her and YoungBoy’s alleged relationship to rest finally, saying, “you think you hot as shit because you quote unquote took a guy, but you didn’t take no guy. You never took no guy, you can never take a guy who wasn’t mine. He wasn’t mine at the time.” Bhabie later took to Instagram to clear rumours that the two were fighting over the rapper though, saying “over YoungBoy ????? Honey neverrrrr she just brought him up so I had to put her in her place bout it!”

Tracy Morgan’s Bugatti Veyron’s Value Decreases By $200K Following Accident: Report

The unfortunate accident Tracy Morgan was recently involved in reportedly carries a hefty loss and repair, which isn’t surprising considering Morgan purchased the 2012 Bugatti Veyron for $2 million. On Tuesday, Morgan left the dealership and 15 minutes later was side-swiped by a Honda CRV. Following the accident, a witnessed captured the moment Morgan hopped out his luxury vehicle and began banging on the window the other person’s car. The actor screamed at the woman behind the wheel, demanding that she exit her vehicle. She later said Morgan frightened her.

According to The Blast, the woman’s insurance will most likely pay for some the cost Morgan’s repairs. However, because the Bugatti isn’t a vehicle that can be serviced just anywhere, the actor may dish out up to $50K to get it fixed. Also, because the Bugatti has been involved in an accident, it’s value has decreased by approximately $200K.

The woman involved in the accident, 61-year-old Jocelyn Madulid, has stated that she’s not at fault because Morgan hit her car. “I was driving. I heard somebody hit me. I felt boom,” she said. “We are both turning right — people are still crossing,” she said. “So what happened is we’re both turning right. But I know he hit me because I was already turning]. I was there, he was the one who hit me!”

Is DJ Khaled’s Character-Breaking Rant A Good Thing?

DJ Khaled’s image is one his defining attributes. So many have pondered the same question aloud, ten as a means tearing the man down: “what exactly does DJ Khaled do?” Of course, they already know the answer. The former DJ is essentially hip-hop’s trusted organizer, affable enough to assemble busy people into the same room with a unified purpose. Call him an A&R, a mogul, industrious, a hitmaker, or straight-up irritating – whatever floats your boat. Hell, he even likes floating on boats, a genuine seafarer at heart. Regardless, Khaled has remained a stalwart presence in the public eye, having nursed and cultivated his carefully designed public persona. And until now, his resolve in staying “in character” has been -quite impressively-  unwavering.

By now, you’ve probably seen the video. DJ Khaled, sitting with his shirt unbuttoned to truly emphasize the severity the situation, unleashing an uncharacteristically bitter rant. “I make albums so people can play it. And you actually hear it,” he begins, in the since-deleted video. “You know, driving your car you hear another car playing it. Go to the barber shop, you hear them playing it. You know, turn the radio on, and you hear them playing it. It’s playing everywhere – it’s called great music. It’s called albums that you actually hear the songs. Not no mysterious shit, and you never hear it.”

Some context. Khaled’s animosity appeared to stem from an unspoken battle between himself and Tyler, The Creator. See, the “All I Do Is Win” creator found his Father Of Asahd album sitting in second place, a respectable accomplishment unto itself. Though Tyler’s IGOR lacked “promotion” in the ostensible sense, his loyal fanbase came through and carried his mysterious opus to the number one spot. Nelly once posed the question “what does it take to be number one?” Now, nearly twenty years later, Tyler has shed some light on the answer. Win hearts through innovation, authenticity, and the pursual one’s artistic instincts. There are clearly shortcuts, as quick-snap trends or big-name features can prove, yet Tyler’s climb to the top proved that the long game is indeed a ble way to play. And yet, Khaled felt compelled to issue a PSA sorts, as though he were wronged in some abhorrent fashion.

The narrative has since come to shift, painting Khaled as the victim a neglectful label. Apparently, a bungled bundling deal cost Khaled upward one-hundred-thousand documented downloads, which would have ensured him the coveted number one spot, and thus keep his winning streak intact. Yet the means through which Khaled meant to secure his downloads served to raise a few brows. Though bundling can feel like a dubious practice in the best times, Khaled somehow veered into an unusually f-kilter direction: pairing Father Of Asahd with nutritional supplements. The move proved appropriately hard to swallow, as Billboard apparently failed to approve Khaled’s food-pyramid scheme. And thus, tales a “tantrum” began to spread. And while they were likely exaggerated for narrative emphasis, a blight had appeared on Khaled’s otherwise pristine image peace, love, and prosperity.

Is DJ Khaled's Character-Breaking Rant A Good Thing?

Neilson Barnard/Getty s

Paired with the aforementioned “post and delete,” it would appear that Khaled’s veneer had revealed something lying dormant beneath. A force rarely seen, especially for someone who tends to move with such immaculate precision. Of course, rappers have publically sown salt time and time again, with Instagram as the favored pulpit. Yet Khaled has always observed the game from the sidelines, closer to peacekeeper than pot-stirrer. For that reason, his inevitably infamous “mysterious” rant comes f as particularly petty, not unlike when Ned Flanders snaps and ultimately ends up in an insane asylum. Is it a moment a weakness, or a dormant reality finally rearing its head?

If anything, seeing a bit emotion from Khaled is a net positive, unflattering though the painted picture may be. For a man so unflinchingly positive, almost to a satirical degree, seeing him break character feels strangely refreshing. Perhaps we ought to take a step back and stop pointing fingers, difficult though it may be, given Khaled’s own overbearing attitude. Yet the man has given us enough hits to merit respect, and needling him over a detion character raises an alarming suggestion. One that implies the status quo was working, despite a noted and vocalized descent in musical quality. Does the landscape truly benefit from squeaky clean Khaled as he’s come thus far, one who prioritizes the throne above all else? As Tyler’s IGOR proved, the journey is as important as the endgame. If Khaled forgot such an integral fact, it’s never too late to experience a moment humility – nor is it ever unwise to do so. Perhaps this post-“tantrum” landscape will birth a new Khaled, a more complete Khaled, in which darkness and light can coexist in a harmonious fashion.

The RIAA Obtains DMCA Subpoenas Demanding the Personal Info of 14 Stream-Ripping Websites

As part of its major music piracy crackdown against YouTube stream-rippers, the RIAA has targeted a slew of new websites.

First, with just a single subpoena obtained at the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, the music organization YouTubNow several weeks ago.  The stream-ripper had long bragged about its “powerful service” which allowed users to find and “download your favorite YouTube videos as well as music tracks quickly, easily, and absolutely for free.”

The move came amidst a major win for the Australian music industry.

Justice Parram, a Federal Court judge, issued a broad ruling.  Siding with Sony, Warner, and Universal Music alongside the Australasian Performing Rights Association (APRA) and Music Rights Australia (MRA), Parram granted the industry the ability to demand that Telstra, Foxtel, Optus, TPG, and Vodafone – all major ISPs in the country – to “take reasonable steps” to prevent access to multiple stream-rippers across seven domain names.

Then, the RIAA attempted to quickly shut down one of the world’s largest YouTube stream-rippers – Y2Mate.

Obtaining yet another subpoena at the federal court in the District of Columbia, the American music organization sent a threatening letter to both Cloudflare and NameCheap, an accredited domain registrar.  The letter “the name, physical address, IP address, telephone number, e-mail address, payment information, account updates, and account history” of Y2Mate’s owner.

Y2Mate, the 570th-most visited website in the world, receives nearly 64 million unique visits each month, mostly from the U.S., Brazil, Mexico, India, and Spain.  Yet, unlike YouTubNow, the stream-ripper’s owner – only known as ‘Muvi’ – has long prepared for a drawn-out battle with the RIAA.

Unwilling to back down, Muvi noted Y2Mate only exists to “create a copy of downloadable online-content for the private use of the user (‘fair use’).”

The stream-ripper’s copyright page also reads,

Muvi does not grant any rights to the contents, as it only acts as a technical service provider.

Going on the offensive once more against stream-ripping technology, the RIAA has obtained two new DMCA subpoenas against Cloudflare and NameCheap.

The music organization has demanded the private information of the following websites:

  • 10convert.
  • Amoyshare.
  • Anything2MP3.
  • iMP3Juices.
  • BigConverter.
  • YouTubeMP4.
  • QDownloader.
  • GenYouTube.
  • BreakTV.
  • MP3XD.
  • DL-YouTube-MP3.
  • ConvertBox.
  • DownloadersIO.
  • Hexupload.

As explained earlier, under the new subpoenas, and must both hand over the names, addresses, IP addresses, telephone numbers, and e-mail addresses, among other personal information, of each website’s owner.

You can view the official letter sent to Cloudflare below.

Alexander "AE" Edwards Talks Pregnancy Sex With Amber Rose

Amber Rose is welcoming her second child with boyfriend Alexander “AE” Edwards. The 35-year-old model and media personality has previously discussed the hardships she’s endured with this pregnancy since being diagnosed with hyperemesis. “For people that don’t know what it is, it’s basically extreme nausea, vomiting, and dehydration. I’m] really, really tired. I can eat a little bit more now that I’m in my second trimester but not much. I pretty much sleep all day,” she previously explained

While her diagnosis sounds all kinds uncomfortable, one thing that hasn’t seemed to change is her sex life. TMZ caught up with Amber and her A.E. in Los Angeles and the paparazzi had the audacity to ask about their bedroom happenings since being pregnant. Amber stayed mute while Alex assured the publication that it’s still happening and it’s “fire.”

“Honey, stop talking,” Amber told Alex.

Elsewhere in the TMZ meetup, Amber explained how she’s opting out her annual SlutWalk this year since her baby is due around the same time. The event usually takes a year to plan and due to the amount stress she’s under, she just wants to deal with her pregnancy with no other interruptions.

Mac Miller Delivers An Inspiring Closing Message To Fans In Casey Veggies’ "Organic"

When news came through earlier this year that iconic Pittsburgh rapper, Mac Miller, had passed away at the tender age 26, the whole world was ablaze. Fellow musicians and fans alike took to social media to mourn the tragic death the legendary artist, including one Casey Veggies, who was “like a brother” to Mac. Veggies launched his career by being one  the founding members the wildly popular Odd Future rap collective – and the first to depart from the group after only one mix. Mac had given Casey his first real break though, allowing him to open for his “Blue Side Park” tour when Casey was fresh out high school.

Today, the Inglewood rapper dropped his anticipated mixtape Organic, which featured a number big names for the project, including YG, The GameDom Kennedy, and others. In one the album’s tracks, “Dream$,” Veggies includes a spoken word tribute to Nipsey Hussle, featuring an interview the late rapper gave about investing in assets and real estate. Casey also shows love to another fallen soldier at the end the album, allowing his late close friend, Mac Miller, the chance to speak to us all for the outro track, titled, “Take It Slow” featuring BJ The Chicago Kid.

In an old voice recording, Mac can be heard detailing what success means to him, after the interviewer asks Miller what he “looks] at success as?” “For me, its being able to touch and effect people in a positive way and have music that lasts for a long time,” he responds. “Have a long career, and just y’know, being able to be influential in a positive way.”

New Music: Lil Mosey feat. Chris Brown ‘G Walk’

Chris Brown continues his collaboration spree.

After recent tracks with Tyga and DaniLeigh, the R&B superstar links with Lil Mosey for the Seattle rapper’s latest single, “G Walk.” Breezy adds his smooth harmonies, while Mosey brings his sing-song delivery to the braggadocious banger.

Mosey is fresh off his “Northsbest World Tour” and performance at Rolling Loud. His debut album, Northsbest, was released last fall and spawned the platinum-certified hit “Noticed.”

Meanwhile, Chris is gearing up to release his 37-track album Indigo on June 28 featuring the highly-anticipated Drake collaboration “No Guidance.”

Beyoncé’s Publicist Condemns Fans For Bullying Warriors’ Owner’s Wife Nicole Curran

One the biggest entertainment stories this week was taken from Game Three the NBA Finals. During the game between the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors, something happened on the side the court that had fans talking for days. Beyoncé and Jay-Z were introduced to the Oakland crowd when beside the pop star, Warriors’ owner Joe Lacob and his wife were seated. When Nicole Curran, Lacob’s wife, leaned over to say something to Jay-Z, the camera captured Queen Bey looking annoyed that she would dare converse with her man. Or, at least that’s the narrative we’re supposed to believe. Curran has said since the viral video blew up that she’s been receiving death threats when simply, she asked Hov what he wanted to drink. She had also apparently asked Bey, who responded that she was good with water. Things have come to a head and now, the singer’s publicist has responded to the matter in a statement to the fans.

With Nicole Curran speaking out about cyberbullying and how she doesn’t know how so many people, including the Warriors’ players, deal with it on a daily basis, Beyoncé’s team decided to speak out to prevent the Beyhive from taking further steps. “I am looking back today at the start The OTRII tour, one year ago. It was a place joy, unimaginable entertainment from two the best performers in the world, and a place love,” began Yvette Noel-Schure, Bey’s publicist, before tackling the topic at hand. “Every single day on that tour I saw love. Which is why I also want to speak here to the beautiful BeyHive. I know your love runs deep but that love has to be given to every human. It will bring no joy to the person you love so much if you spew hate in her name. We love you.”

Hopefully, the Beyhive can realize that the way they’ve treated Curran, especially those attacking her and threatening her life, is unacceptable.

If you’re an avid sneakerhead who stays up on the latest releases, then you’ve definitely camped outside a store at some point in your life just so you could get the chance to wear a hype release. The biggest drop the weekend is the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 “Black” which is a shoe that fans have been hoping for for a long time. The release is pretty limited and sneakerheads are desperate to cop them because their aftermarket value is fairly high right now.

Australian sneakerheads were amongst some the most eager to cop the shoe as according to the Daily Mail, shoppers in Sydney and Melbourne camped for days outside Adidas just so they could get their hands on the shoe. Since it’s Winter in Australia right now, it was fairly cold outside so shoppers were bundled up in heavy jackets and even set up tents just so they could sleep at night.

Latest Yeezy Release Had Australians Camping Outside For Days

One sneakerhead even made a cardboard sign explaining why he was lined up as passersby kept hounding him questions about what was going down.

“We line up for Yeezy, it’s a sneaker because it’s limited released, so we line up here,” the sign said. “You can join us or give some encouragement. We start camping here since Monday morning and it’s gonna release at Friday morning.”

Were you able to cop this release or did you take a huge L like the rest us?
