Jason Kidd Interviews To Become Lakers Head Coach: Report

There were rumors last month that Luke Walton was on his way out the Los Angeles Lakers franchise, and now that he’s departed and found a new home with the Sacramento Kings, the L.A. team is trying to fill his position as soon as possible. Jason Kidd was said to be a contender for the position, and now ESPN and the L.A. Times are both reporting that Kidd ficially interviewed with the Lakers on Monday.

Sources say that Kidd met with the team’s general manager Rob Pelinka and team executive Kurt Rambis. The meeting was reportedly several hours long and went down at the team’s practice facility in El Segundo, California. Kidd previously coached the Brooklyn Nets and the Milwaukee Bucks. He was fired from the latter team during the 2017-2018 season.

The former NBA star is said to be the third person that has interviewed for the Laker’s coach position. Philadelphia 76ers assistant coach Monty Williams and former Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue both completed their interviews last week. There are a few more possibilities that have yet to sit down with Laker’s executives, including Miami Heat assistant coach Juwan Howard.

Things are shaking up for the Lakers following both Magic Johnson and Luke Walton’s departures, although the former is said to be still working with the team in a different capacity. Who do you think the team should bring as a coach to lead them to victory?

Lizzo Admits That She Slid Into Drake’s DMs While Drunk

Look, for those that have had one too many, you know what it’s like when you feel like a boss f the sauce. Who knows how many drunk-girl-DMs Drake has sitting in Instagram messages, but Lizzo isn’t afraid to admit that at one point, she slid her way into the OVO rapper’s inbox. The rapper-singer visited Busy Tonight and talked about the sending—and unsending—Drake a message.

Lizzo was asked who she would like to collaborate with and she emphatically answered “Adele, b*tch!” Busy Phillips asked her if she’s DM’d Adele to ask her to hop on a record, and Lizzo admitted that she has DM’d, but it wasn’t Adele. “I used to slide into DMs,” she said. When pressed for more information, Lizzo admitted, “I slid into Drake’s DMs, but it was bold. I was drunk and I was just like, ‘Let’s just see if this motherf—er can sing,'” she said as she mocked being drunk. “And I sent him a DM…this was a while ago. And then I unsent it, and then he followed me after that…but he likes my songs.”

She’s obviously not ashamed it, probably because it was on a work flow and not…well…you know. Meanwhile, the rapper is currently on her sold out “Cuz I Love You Tour” after releasing her major label debut the same name last week.

Teairra Mari Calls 50 Cent "Spare Change" & A "Washed Up Old School Rapper"

Until this point, there hasn’t been another celebrity petty enough to go back and forth with 50 Cent, but Teairra Mari is giving the rapper a run for his money. Fiddy has a reputation tentimes hitting below the belt, trolling those that he thinks are deserving his negative attention. He had no real beef with Teairra until she named the rapper in her revenge porn lawsuit against her ex-boyfriend. After a graphic sex tape or Teairra made the social media rounds, 50 joined in and shared the images.

Because this, Teairra took 50 to court, but ultimately a judge dismissed her case. However, 50 gained a slight win when Teairra was ordered to pay a portion  his legal fees to the tune $30K. Since then, 50 has publically called her out, demanding that she run him his check. Teairra has responded with equal fervor, saying that she doesn’t have his money so he’s going to have to kick back and wait until she does.

This has turned into a trolling fiasco, as other celebs including 6ix9ine and Floyd Mayweather have been brought into their social media beef. The R&B singer has dissed the rapper on a recent track, and 50 has stated that a warrant has been issued for Teairra’s arrest since she refuses to pay him. The singer took to Instagram once again today to throw a few shots at her current foe by acting out a scene where she’s packing her bags as if she’s about to make a run for it.

In the clip, a friend catches Teairra in the act and asks her what she’s doing. “First all, b*itch, I gotta get the f*ck outta dodge,” Teairra says in the scene. “You ain’t heard? First all, I have a warrant for my arrest. You didn’t hear that? Curtis, girl.” When the person f camera asks her where she’s going, Teairra says, “I don’t know, girl. I’m just gon’ get on the road and go ’cause I gotta get the f*ck on. I think I’m gonna go to Mexico.”

Meanwhile, she wrote out a lengthy caption calling 50’s recent warrant accusations a lie. She also says that contrary to the rapper’s claims, he never trademarked her “I Ain’t Got It” phrase. “Never believe a n*gga named Curtisss,” she began. “Even if he is your favorite washed up old school rapper. Here is the real news: my lawyers are all the way on point (the best), I never had an arrest warrant…and spare change never TRADEMARKED SH*T…he is just trying to steal drip…he needs it bad…you see how this boy dress.”

How long before this is considered flirting?

New Music: YG ‘Stop Snitchin’

Ahead of his album release next month, YG drops the first single “Stop Snitchin.”

The Compton rapper calls out the snitches on the West Coast banger, which he debuted during his set at Coachella. The track was seemingly inspired by his rival 6ix9ine, who copped a plea deal in his federal racketeering case.

“Bitch ni**a, snitch ni**a, ho ni**a, bitch ni**a,” he raps over the bouncy production. “You got fear in your heart so you corroborate / I can see how bitch ni**as operate.”

He continues to lash out at the snitches. “I hate a bitch ni**a, I swear to God / I don’t know what’s worse / Bitch ni**as or alcohol.”

YG’s fourth full-length album, 4REAL 4REAL, is set to drop May 3. It was originally slated to arrive April 12, but was delayed out of respect for Nipsey Hussle. According to Billboard, the project features his “most confident storytelling to date.”

Lauren London Promotes New BET Series "Games People Play" On Social Media

Understandably, Lauren London has been quiet on social media. Since the time that her lover and partner Nipsey Hussle was murdered, all London’s Instagram posts have been focused on him, their relationship, or his legacy. Today, she broke from the mold to promote her new show, a BET series that she stars in titled Games People Play.

London shared a photo herself alongside her co-stars in a promotional photo for the show while writing, “Love and Respect to the cast and crew. Tune in tonight 10pm to watch Games People Play @bet.” She ended the brief message with a nod to Nipsey by adding, “Love y’all 💙🏁.”

Not long before Nipsey passed away, London sat down with The Grio to talk about her new series. In Games People Play, the actress plays the part a wife who married her high school sweetheart. In the blink an eye, they go from a normal, happy pair to a power couple after her husband is drafted into a pro-basketball league.

“I feel no fear,” she said her role. “Usually I do, but no, not this time, Usually the roles I’ve done before like really fun and sassy and you know kind surface roles,” she says. “This was a broken wife and a woman and I feel like I’m 34, I have kids and I have lived some life that I can put into this into a woman.” Adding, “Being a mother has changed my outlook on life and I think that naturally filters into my work.”

Megan Thee Stallion Calls Q-Tip Her "Bestie" & Talks Double Standards In Hip Hop

‘Tis the season Megan Thee Stallion, because the Houston rapper is staking her claim in hip hop. The 24-year-old artist has been around for a few years, but she seems to have burst onto the rap scene in 2019. Her single “Big Ole Freak” has been making waves, so much so that Trey Songz even tried to shoot his shot on social media. Her ever-growing fan base can’t get enough her twerking videos and freaky lyrics, and if you think Megan Thee Stallion is a handful now, just wait until her alter ego “Hot Girl Meg” comes along with the release her forthcoming album, Fever.

Fever was set to drop this month, but after her mother unexpectedly passed away, she delayed it further. “I definitely have to pray and spend a lot time by myself when I can,” she told Billboard. “Sometimes, when you’re doing too much, things get overwhelming. So I just have to calm myself down and think, ‘What would my mama want me to do?’”

There have been a number artists who have rallied in Megan’s corner including her “bestie” Q-Tip who “always encourages me to be myself and not let anybody change me,” Solange who Megan met and became friends with, and SZA who supports her at every turn. However, while many women have supported her give-no-%&$#s attitude, Megan shares that many men have attacked her on social media for showing too much skin or behaving too sexually.

“It really shows how insecure a lot these dudes are,” she says. “Half the time it’s an up-and-coming rapper who’s trying to get a reaction so somebody can check out their music instead]. Or some dude that’s probably been hurt before by a girl who looks like me. Or maybe a guy that I didn’t direct message] back in 2013? I don’t know what it could be, but that’s just not my problem.”

“We gotta break these double-standards and get women to loosen up a bit,” Megan continued. “We gotta show them that we can do what we want to do how we want to do it. If someone doesn’t like it, they can get to stepping.”

Cardi B Continues Rant About Negative Reporting In Urban & Hip Hop Blogs

Taking a break from going f on The Shade Room and accusing them  only sharing negative reports about her family and her friends, Cardi B continued to air out her grievances on social media. She’s asked the publication not to mention her name at all, but although they respected her wishes, earlier today she went on a social media rant claiming that TSR attacks her friends and associates instead.

This sparked another point for Cardi to make as she shared on Instagram that non-urban media outlets have turned to capitalizing f the controversy surrounding urban celebrities because urban blogs have raked in lucrative incomes from negative reports. “People be in the comments like, ‘Oh why are they making documentaries about R. Kelly? Why are they making documentaries about Michael Jackson?’ Well, let me tell y’all why. Because y’all make people feel like it’s okay to do so.”

“Why wouldn’t a white Caucasian person try to capitalize from the drama that happens in the urban and the black entertainment business, when black blogs, black-owned blogs capitalize f they own drama and problems. You don’t see Donald Trump,” she continued. “You don’t see Charlie Sheen sh*t going viral every year, every so. ‘Cause they don’t give a f*ck anymore. Back in the day, TMZ used to report about Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, all these Caucasian celebrities, all these celebrity actors. Now, all they do is post about hip hop artists, people that’s in the black entertainment business because black blogs capitalize f black entertainer’s drama.”

Although we can see her point, to be fair, Donald Trump is the President the United States and is both dragged and hailed in the media almost every minute every day. And Charlie Sheen, well, his “Tiger Blood” days are behind him, and he’s pretty much lived a quiet life doing whatever it is that Charlie Sheen does. Angelina Jolie is a United Nations ambassador with a hoard children, and both she and Brad Pitt have been in the headlines as late now that their divorce is ficial.

Also, the influence hip hop culture is undeniable as is transcends borders that that society has created. There are people, worldwide, who know more about famous rappers than they do their elected ficials. Non-urban-centered blogs know this, so they piggy-back f the hip hop media to bring in those readers. However, well-balanced news sources are most effective, and at the heart Cardi’s rant, that’s all that she wants.

About six years ago, Kim’s mother Sarah Porter] was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, and we moved her to L.A. She passed away about a year and a half later, so the girls saw their mother deal with losing her mother. Now, ironically, they are teaching me how to deal with Kim’s passing.

In the months following Kim’s death, family, friends, and strangers shared kind messages about the former model and mother It’s a testament to who Kim was, how she touched people, the grace and poise she had, the way she changed a room as soon as she entered. She was unforgettable. That day turned my world upside down.”

Travis Scott Sued $20M By Three 6 Mafia For Allegedly Jacking "No Bystanders"

Los Angeles, CA – DJ Paul is suing Travis Scott over the use of Three 6 Mafia’s hit song “Tear Da Club Up” on the Astroworld cut “No Bystanders.”

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Paul has sued Scott for copyright infringement and claims he’s entitled to damages in excess of $20 million.

The Three 6 Mafia co-founder points out Scott’s “Fuck da club up, fuck da club up” hook on “No Bystanders” sounds just like the hook on “Tear Da Club Up.” He further claims the “cadence and sound” of the song are “virtually identical and strikingly similar.”

For reference, Paul highlights the Houston rhymer’s February performance at the 61st Grammy Awards. Scott’s set included a rendition of “No Bystanders” that actually swapped out his Astroworld hook out for the “Tear Da Club Up” version.

Paul claims Scott never asked for consent to use the Three 6 Mafia track. However, the veteran rapper/producer’s name (Paul Beauregard) is listed on the credits for “No Bystanders” on TIDAL.

Jordyn Woods seems to be doing just fine without the backing the Kardashian clan. Earlier this year, she found herself engulfed in one the biggest controversies 2019 so far after reports emerged claiming that she hooked up with Khloe Kardashian’s ex, Tristan Thompson. She was exiled from the Kardashian-Jenner clan, later moving out Kylie’s home. She spoke on the incident on Jada Pinkett Smith’s Red Table Talkbut during a panel at Nigeria’s Homecoming Festival, Woods seemingly addressed the controversy again.

Olivia Culpo Posts Bikini Photo Following Danny Amendola’s Social Media Rant

Detroit Lions wide receiver Danny Amendola recently took to instagram to share his thoughts about Oli Culpo’s instagram activity, in a post that has since gone viral. Specifically, Amendola noted the Culpo’s desire to live her life in the public eye was a “fundamental difference” in their relationship.

In the IG post, which has now been deleted, Amendola wrote a lengthy caption detailing their two-year relationship, which included the following comment: “Oli chooses and wants to be noticed on the internet and in Hollywood to make money. Which was hard for me to understand but quickly had to learn.”

Culpo responded by simply posting another bikini picture on Monday morning following a family trip to Palm Springs for Easter.

As part Amendola’s exhausting rant, he also took a jab at Zedd, who was spotted dancing with Culpo at Coachella last weekend.

“Not sure what’s in the future but the only thing I care about is her HAPPINESS. And if that’s dancing with scrony sic] little f—-, so be it. I’m happy too. With that said! Liv! My beautiful ex-Gf! Carry on IG.”

Travis Scott Sued By DJ Paul Over "No Bystanders" Hook: Report

The possibilities Three 6 Mafia are looking slim these days but regardless whether they put out another project or not, they’re still one the most influential groups in modern music. Their aesthetic and sound have impacted the game as we know it and inspired a slew hit records in 2018. Cardi B and Rae Sremmurd are just two artists who had hit records including Three 6 Mafia samples. However, DJ Paul from the legendary Memphis group has accused Travis Scott  blatantly stealing a bit out a classic Three 6 Mafia track for a highlight f  Astroworld.

According to TMZ, DJ Paul has filed a lawsuit against Travis Scott over “No Bystanders,” claiming the Houston rapper sampled “Tear The Club Up” on “No Bystanders” without proper authorization. On the Three 6 track, they chant “Tear The Club Up, tear the club up,” on the hook. Travis’ song seemingly mimics the refrain while changing “tear” to “f*ck.”

Paul accuses Travis  using the identical cadence and sound on the hook. He also adds that Travis Scott’s performance at the 2019 Grammys used Three 6 Mafia’s hook verbatim.

DJ Paul is suing Travis Scott for copyright infringement and demands the prits from the song which he “expects to be in excess” $20M.

We’ll keep you posted on any more updates on DJ Paul’s suit against Travis Scott.
