Team USA Loses Kyle Kuzma To Ankle Injury, Finalizes World Cup Roster

The news just keeps getting worse for Team USA. After literally losing a baker’s dozen player personnel to “other commitments” their depleted roster came up short in their 2nd 2 rendez-vous with the Australian national team, led by Patty Mills the San Antonio Spurs no less. The exhibition loss marked the end a 78-game win streak for the US Men’s Basketball outfit.

Then, it was announced that a left ankle injury would prevent Kyle Kuzma from participating in the upcoming FIBA World Cup – after much deliberation over his role within the team. With bigs like Tobias Harris, Kevin Love and Anthony Davis opting out at their earliest convenience – Kuzma looked set to take up a primary role on the fensive side the floor, his deficiencies masked by the nuclear presence P.J. Tucker.

Seeing as Kuzma was one 13 players participating in camp when the medical decision was rendered, Team USA’s roster kind finalized itself. The 12-man lineup, as coached by Gregg Popovich, is comprised Harrison Barnes (Sacramento Kings), Jaylen Brown (Boston Celtics), Joe Harris (Brooklyn Nets), Brook Lopez (Milwaukee Bucks), Khris Middleton (Bucks), Donovan Mitchell (Utah Jazz), Mason Plumlee (Denver Nuggets), Marcus Smart (Celtics), Jayson Tatum (Celtics), Myles Turner (Indiana Pacers), Kemba Walker (Celtics) and coach’s pet Derrick White (San Antonio Spurs).

Steve Nash Doesn’t Think DeMarcus Cousins Should Quit On His NBA Dream

Even in his darkest hour, DeMarcus Cousins has the support his former colleague Steve Nash. For those who haven’t followed Nash’s exploit post-retirement, the former NBA MVP is currently employed as a player development consultant for the Golden State Warriors, the team Cousins played for down the stretch last season. Now contracted to the Los Angeles Lakers, Cousins has been contemplating retirement since rupturing his ACL this fseason. Boogie spent much last season on the shelf rehabbing his Achilles tendon, at the expense garnering a lucrative longterm like those signed by his peers in recent years.

With regards to whether DeMarcus should hang ’em up for good, Steve Nash doesn’t think the current Laker has reached his end, even though it’s not for him to decide. Only Cousins holds the keys to his future as a pressional athlete beyond this season. “He shouldn’t retire,” Nash told a TMZ field reporter who caught up with him this weekend. “He’s still a young guy. He’s had a horrible run, but he has a fighting spirit. He’s a competitor. He’s gone through a lot already, he can do it.”

“I was just ready to quit,” Cousins confided in ESPN’s Rachel Nichols during a sitdown exchange. “Like, throw the towel in…Human nature is the first thing. It’s like, ‘Why? Why me? Why now? What did I do wrong? Why do I deserve this?'” If Steve Nash, a consummate pressional in every sense the word, sees a future in DeMarcus Cousins, then by Jove, there’s an inner conversation to be had.

Instagram Gallery: An Introduction To Lil Tecca

Just as the leagues rappers before him who used their SoundCloud popularity as a springboard to mainstream success, Lil Tecca is now fully in the spotlight as an up-and-coming artist to watch. At just 16-years-old, the Queens-bred rapper currently boasts the No. 8 spot on the coveted Billboard Hot 100 chart with his breakout hit “Ran$om,” a followup to viral hits like “Molly Girl” and “Bossanova.” Riding the hot-right-now wave melodic rap as an entry point into the industry, Lil Tecca’s dulcet beats and goy, down-to-earth social media personality signal staying power far beyond his teen peers who found fame just as quickly.

“I just be chilling on the internet, really,” says Tecca his vibrant Instagram following. “And I don’t go to the internet to do the most. I try to not look at what anyone else does and just stay in my own lane. Like tunnel vision, you feel me? I’m not looking at everyone else. So yeah, everything you see from me on the internet, it’s coming from me. It’s not coming from no one else.”

“The internet is a place where it’s very easy to get attention. It’s a good thing, but it can be bad,” he continues, rounding his surprisingly balanced outlook regarding the marriage between internet popularity and track performance. “That’s why I don’t talk about dumb stuff on Instagram. There’s so many people watching. I don’t think I’m a face for the youth, but they like me, I guess.”

If you haven’t vibed yet to the cool, laid-back vibe Lil Tecca’s melodic rap anthem well on its way to the top the Billboard 100, keep reading for an Instagram introduction to this young artist on the rise.

Rumored "PS5" Design Met With Doubt, Questions, & Memes

Playstation 5 fever has been spreading at a rapid pace. It seems as if every week a new development “leaks,” keeping Sony’s upcoming console comfortably within the public’s collective headspace. Given that Sony is currently fending f rampant Spider-Man cosplayers, some which have likely done their damndest to create home-made webbing, they need all the help they can get. Still, the PS5 remains one the most anticipated pieces technology, and will likely fly f the shelves when it eventually releases next year.

But what will it look like? Today, we may very well have gotten a glimpse at what’s to come, by way yet another well-placed “leak.” This one arrives courtesy game developer Matthew Stott, whose original Tweet served to spread like wildfire among the curious masses. The public, wary change at the best times, was immediately compelled to respond with that old familiar defense mechanism, humor. As is their right – memes are simply expected at this point, so why dete from tradition?

Yet some the more resourceful types made sure to elevate this one to a different hype plane altogether – enter, a 3D rendering, depicting a close-to-reality look at the PlayStation 5. Could this be what Sony is keeping under wraps? And if so, can you dig it?

Quavo Is Trapping Popeye’s Chicken Sandwiches For $1K Apiece

Quavo’s answer to Popeye’s and Chick-fil-A’s growing hostilities was to stockpile their products for fear a food shortage. Surely, there’s enough chicken sandwich to go around, but don’t tell that to the founding Migos member, whose latest sales plan is to sell Popeye’s out his trunk at an inflationary rate $1000 a pop.

Chick-fil-A fancies itself the originator the “chicken sandwich” on a corporate scale. So it stands to reason that when hostilities kicked f, it was due to Popeye’s introduction a new “chicken sandwich” on their nationwide menu. As you likely heard, Popeye’s new addition has been such a hit with the clientele that drive-thru tellers have had to board up their windows for fear an uprising.

Quavo on the other hand, is none too concerned with the risk factor posed by a zombielike crowd crossing paths with him in the parking lot. Quite the opposite. Quavo wants to rekindle the sort arrangement he once had (or still maintains) with the fiends. Instead driving up the price admission in view his streaming numbers – Quavo is here to prit on the coming apocalypse while the getting is good, Chicken shortage or not.

Chrissy Teigen Goes Braless In New IG Post

It’s 2019 and some Chrissy Tiegen’s followers are still worked up about a bra. The thirty-three-year-old model posted a photo herself shopping on Thursday in a burgundy jumpsuit. She looks to be shopping for toys for her kids with an excited face. “What do you think I’m looking at,” she writes for the caption.

It’s this innocuous question that many fans decided to pounce on. “A bra, girl get you one!” one commenter wrote. In the photo, Tiegen is braless and going about her day in comfort. One commenter defended the model’s choice saying, “All these WOMEN commenting on the fact she’s not wearing a bra 🙄 y’all are just jealous that you don’t have the confidence to do it too because we all know bras are the worst thing in existence.”

This isn’t the first time Tiegen has faced criticism online. Just last month fans body shammed her on twitter; to which she responded, “everyone so used to ass shots and photoshopped Instagrams. I’ve had no ass forever – is this new news to some you?” adding, “fuckin lames wouldn’t be able to stop blabbering if I got my ass done either. bored as all hell, never can win!”

Damon Dash Says JAY-Z ‘Ain’t Sh*t’ for Taking NFL Deal

Damon Dash is putting JAY-Z on blast.

The hip-hop mogul, who co-founded Roc-A-Fella Records with Hov, is weighing in on the Roc Nation boss’ new NFL partnership, claiming the deal has exposed him as a backstabber.

“I mean everybody knows JAY ain’t shit like that. Everybody knows that,” he told Adam22 on the “No Jumper” podcast ( TMZ).

According to Dame, JAY is only out for himself. “If you ask anyone in the industry, it’s common knowledge that JAY ain’t shit,” he said. “He’s about the bag. We all know that. He’s self-preserving, period. It’s just that the people he does it to don’t have Beyoncé next to him, they don’t have that kind of power.”

He cited other instances when JAY would deceive him. “It’s not even a secret. He do that shit to me with girls,” said Dame. “I’ll be talking to a chick and I’ll be like, ‘Yo, she asked me to do this that and the third.’ And he’ll be like, ‘I wouldn’t do it.’ And then the next day he’s wifed her.”

The comments shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise considering Dame and JAY’s rocky past. He feels JAY betrayed him when he cut him out of the Roc-A-Fella deal and caused the label’s demise.

JAY-Z has been criticized for taking the NFL deal despite Colin Kaepernick still not having a job in the NFL. But despite the backlash, Dame thinks JAY is untouchable and even compared him to Trump.

“There’s always been a pattern with that dude. Everyone always forgives him,” he added. “He’s like Trump in that way. He could do anything, say anything, and everyone goes with the populist sometimes.”

Funkmaster Flex previously claimed that Jermaine Dupri was offered a similar deal to JAY-Z with the NFL, but JAY told him to turn it down. However, the So So Def mogul shot down Flex’s claim during an interview with Atlanta’s V-103. “It was never nothing like that,” he said. “He never told me don’t do what I was doing.”

Kemba Walker Reflects On "Team USA" Snapping Its 78-Game Win Streak Vs. Australia

Aside from the lone blemish on their record, a third-place showing at the 2004 Olympics, the US Men’s Basketball team is expected to maintain a flawless win-loss record, at all costs. Unfortunately, that did not occur last night when USA Basketball was hit with a permanent stain to their record, in the form a loss to Australia by a narrow score  98-94.

Coach Popovich’s failure to will his squad members to victory, all but snaps a historic run for the US program: 78 victories in succession. After the game, Popovich and most notably, the team’s projected starting point guard Kemba Walker, were on hand to reflect on the exhibition loss.

“They say Team USA doesn’t lose. I get it. They haven’t lost in a very long time, which I understand, but it happens. Teams lose. Like I said, we’re going to take this loss and build from it,” Kemba Walker opined after the contest. “That’s all we can do. That’s all we can do is continue to try our best to get better. The real thing doesn’t start until China.”

Kemba’s not fibbing. It can be at times, rather difficult, to raise one’s “compete level” when the stakes are lowered. Hence why NBA players ten take a month or so to rear into gear upon opening tip-f. The FIBA World Cup commences in a week. Is USA’s loss to Australia a caveat or just another blip on the radar? Jeezy Forecasts Snow As Guest Meteorologist On The Weather Channel

It’s Jeezy week, and to cap f a week promoting and celebrating his new album, TM104: The Legend the Snowman, the Atlanta rapper stopped by his hometown’s Weather Channel studio. Jeezy kicked f his segment as guest meteorologist by introducing himself to viewers as “yours truly, the weatherman, better known as the snowman”. Given the snowman theme that has pervaded Jeezy’s work and image since he stepped onto the scene, giving a weather report was definitely an ingenious marketing idea.

Jeezy gave a regular report until the screen switched to display a forecast calling for snow in Atlanta with “The Legend the Snowman” written at the top. He explained this weird meteorological phenomenon: “It’s gonna get to snowing, cause my album is in the streets and I am the snowman,  Atlanta, Georgia”.

Jeezy also rocked one his iconic snowman tees, which is pretty hilarious when you remember that they were banned from schools nationwide back around the release his debut studio album, Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101. The shirts became incredibly popular but when school administrators realized that the snowman symbolized Jeezy’s coke-dealing past, they weren’t thrilled. Now, it all comes full circle as Jeezy releases the last instalment the Thug Motivation series through Def Jam. The top comment on The Weather Channel’s tweet calls out Jeezy for his subtle move on broadcast television, “Y’all know he’s taking about cocaine, right”.

Watch for the outtakes at the end.

Lil Uzi Vert Offers to Pay Student’s $90,000 Tuition

Lil Uzi Vert is giving back in a big way.

The Grammy-nominated rapper agreed to pay a Temple University student’s $90,000 tuition, and it was all captured on video. While walking through a department store in Philadelphia on Thursday night, Uzi ran into a fan named Raheel Ahmad, who asked if he would give him $90,000 for his college tuition.

“Can you pay for my college tuition?” asked Ahmad before Uzi stopped in his tracks to ask him how much. “Ninety grand, I go to Temple, bro,” replied Ahmad.

A post shared by Zachariah Ahmad (@zachariahahmad) on

“Ninety grand? I could pay for that,” said Uzi before revealing the terms of his donation, including that the student finish school. “But this is the thing, though. If I pay for your college tuition, are you going to finish college or are you going to bullshit?”

After Ahmad vowed to keep his end of the deal, Uzi then asked for his Instagram handle and told him to send all his transcripts. “If you don’t show me, you won’t get 90 grand,” he said.

On Friday, the generous rapper also teamed up with Yo Gotti on their new collaboration “Pose.”
