CupcaKKe Announces North American Tour, $10k To Be Raffled At Every Concert

Staging a North America tour isn’t child’s play. Every member the production team has their pockets lined before the artist ever sees a penny, and unless in your good favor with the label, you and your manager need to plan for months in advance before said team ever hits the road. CupcakKe understands that all too well, both as a passerby and the main constituent.

As Iggy Azalea‘s label situation was crumbling to bits last year, CupcakKe gave herself ample time to jump ship, before their dual-tour suffered a similar fate. On a more personal note, CupcakKe has seen her plans foiled on more than one occasion due to mental health issues. Thankfully, she’s always managed to leap back to her feet, thanks to the support her adoring fans and the hard work her inner circle.

According to the poster, the run is called The Return Of Three 6 Mafia and features Juicy J, DJ Paul, Gangsta Boo and Crunchy Black. Special guests include Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, DMX, Project Pat, Lil Wyte and La Chat.

The full tour schedule hasn’t been revealed, but the first one looks like it takes place on October 12 in Southaven, Mississippi.

For the better part this decade, the Adidas UltraBoost has been one the most popular running shoes in the world. Overall, it’s a clean looking shoe that could be something to watch out for as the new year approaches.

Far Right Memer Finds Himself Arrested After Threatening Feds

Every so ten, memes can serve as one’s undoing. Though some teenagers have come to dedicate their lives to the search for that elusive “dank-ass-lit-meme,” others have decided to use memes for nefarious purposes. Such edgelords rely on a provocative brand gallows humor to elicit responses, but sometimes, lines can be crossed in the process. Especially when threats gun violence enter the mix. Such was indeed the case for iFunny user Justin Olsen, an 18-year old going by the username ArmyOfChrist.

According to a report from Complex, Olsen was organizing a chat about the Waco siege, ending the discussion with a particularly ominous comment: “In conclusion, shoot every federal agent on sight.” Unfortunately for him, the Feds were not about to take this lying down, and organized a raid on his home. There, they found enough weaponry for a small army ( Christ), which is to say 10,000 rounds ammunition, 15 rifles, 10 semi-automatic pistols, and a machete.

It’s unclear what he planned on doing with his arsenal, but a deeper look into his prile reveals an interesting psychological prile; rhetoric against gays, feminists, and non-Christians seemed to be commonplace. You can check out video his court hearing, in which charges felony menacing are laid on the table.

JAY-Z to Become NFL Team Owner

JAY-Z is making another power play.

Following his music and social justice partnership with the NFL, TMZ Sports reports that the Roc Nation mogul is taking his relationship with the league to the next level by becoming part owner of an NFL team.

Sources connected to JAY claim that he is going to have a “significant ownership interest” in an NFL team “in the near future.” It’s unclear what team he will have a stake in, but he reportedly wants to become a part owner “because he’s a huge fan, already has a sports business, and wants to continue to be a change agent for the NFL.”

JAY-Z’s Roc Nation Sports division currently manages NFL players including Saquon Barkley, Todd Gurley, and Dez Bryant, which may be a conflict of interest. However, sources say “JAY is not an NFL agent and does not take part in the operations of the NFL players in Roc Nation.”

Earlier this week, JAY-Z and the NFL announced a longterm partnership. Roc Nation will serve as the NFL’s “live music entertainment strategist,” consulting on entertainment, including the Super Bowl halftime show, and contributing to the league’s social-justice program, Inspire Change.

“The NFL has a great big platform, and it has to be all-inclusive,” said JAY-Z, who has been an outspoken critic of the league in the past. “They were willing to do some things, to make some changes, that we can do some good.”

The deal was met with controversy from many who criticized his decision to partner with the NFL after their treatment of Colin Kaepernick, who was blackballed after kneeling during the national anthem three years ago.

Kaepernick’s girlfriend, Nessa Diab, said Kaepernick didn’t speak with JAY-Z prior to brokering the NFL partnership. JAY spoke to Kaepernick on Monday after the deal had been signed. A source close to the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback told The Atlantic‘s Jemele Hill, “It was not a good conversation.”

JAY-Z, who rapped about turning down the Super Bowl on The Carters’ hit “APESHIT,” was also among those who advised Travis Scott not to perform at this year’s halftime show. During a press conference this week, the Roc Nation founder said that he told Scott he shouldn’t perform because he would be playing “second fiddle” to Maroon 5 and that it had nothing to do with Kaepernick.

Chance the Rapper Performs on ‘GMA’ Summer Concert Series

Chance the Rapper brought The Big Day to “GMA.”

Three weeks after releasing his debut album, Lil Chano took over the “Good Morning America” Summer Concert Series on Friday (Aug. 16) to perform a medley of hits live in New York’s Central Park.

“We gon’ sing it so all of New York can hear us today!” said the Grammy-winning rapper while performing “Do You Remember.”

With his family including his parents and brother Taylor Bennett looking on, he celebrated his faith on the gospel-inspired “Town on the Hill” and worked up a sweat to the Knox Fortune-assisted “Let’s Go on the Run.”

Just in time for the weekend, Chance turned the stage into a giant party for “Hot Shower” featuring some special guests. DaBaby and MadeinTYO had the crowd lit as they popped up for their guest verses.

Chance, who’s expecting another daughter with his wife Kirsten Corley, also sat down for an interview, where he discussed his $1 million donation to Chicago Public Schools and his new album. “The title is based off of the best day that’s ever happened to me, my wedding day. Shout-out to my wife. I love my wife,” he said.

While backstage at “GMA,” Chance was presented with a plaque for becoming the first independent SoundCloud Premier creator to hit a billion streams. His first upload was eight years ago with his 10 Day mixtape with his latest being The Big Day, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Charlamagne tha God Denies Banning Nicki Minaj From ‘The Breakfast Club’

Nicki Minaj is still welcome on “The Breakfast Club.”

On Thursday (Aug. 15), Nicki said she had been “banned” from the popular Power 105 show. However, that’s not the case according to Charlamagne tha God.

During an interview with Page Six, “The Breakfast Club” co-host denied the ban on Barbie. “There was never a problem with her,” he said. “We never banned her from the radio station. There is not a consequence to what she has said now, or in the past. I don’t know why she is saying that.”

He also claimed that he and Minaj “talk on the phone; we text each other” and that “rappers are going to be rappers.” He went on to compare the posturing to “wrestling,” adding that the door is always open for the “Megatron” rapper. “I would be happy and welcome her to come on the show,” he said.

Earlier in the week, Nicki responded to an interview Charlamagne did with Rick Ross, during which he addressed her recent comments regarding his 2017 track “Apple of My Eye.”

“Charlemagne get so excited when he thinks some1 bout to say smthn negative about me 😭 that tail get to wagging, that lil pussy get to poppin, he get to giggling,” she tweeted. “They banned me from the show but always talkn bout me.”

But she may be paying a return visit soon, whether she’s invited or not. “I’m pullin up cuz we in NY soon. I’d rather be invited tho js,” added Nicki, whose last interview on “The Breakfast Club” was in October 2016.

Minaj, who recently changed her Twitter name to Mrs. Petty, is headed down the aisle soon. During an episode of Queen Radio earlier this week, she revealed that she and Kenneth Petty will tie the knot in the next 80 days before their marriage license expires. A formal wedding will take place at a later date.

“I’ll be married before my album comes out, but I’ll probably have my wedding after my album comes out,” she said.

Eric Reid Continues Criticism: "When Has Jay-Z Ever Taken A Knee?"

After rubbishing Jay-Z’s new NFL deal on Twitter for much the last week, Eric Reid doubled down, tripled down even, with most incisive commentary yet, following Friday evening’s preseason matchup against the Buffalo Bills. After enduring a lengthy bid on the sidelines for his part in the early anthem protests, Reid landed a spot on the Carolina Panthers last season which he has since been able to maintain leading up to the 2019 campaign.

Eric Reid Continues Criticism: "When Has Jay-Z Ever Taken A Knee?"

Grant Halverson/Getty s

“For one, when has Jay-Z ever taken a knee to come out and tell us that we’re past kneeling?” Reid told the press. “Yes, he’s done a lot great work, a lot great social justice work.”

Curious to note: while Reid is taking a decisive position AGAINST Jigga’s deal, for political reasons, it does figure as a nuanced position no less. Reid did credit Jay-Z for his level engagement in other instances social and political unrest. It would seem that Eric Reid was particularly irked by his suggestion that “we’ve moved past kneeling” as a collective whole.

“But for you to get paid to go into an NFL press conference and say that we’re past kneeling? Again, asinine. Players Coalition 2.0, he got paid to take the bullets he’s taking now because we’re not having it.”

Tyga Welcomes A$AP Rocky Home As They Get Back To The Bag

A$AP Rocky was found guilty assault but he was fortunate enough to get a suspended sentence. Essentially, the Swedish government just wanted to convict him the crime but clearly, they didn’t think it was severe enough for Rocky to actually be punished for it. Either way, Rocky is home and Sweden will likely never see him return again unless it’s to serve a sentence. But everyone’s been celebrating his arrival back home since his release earlier this month. While he’s reunited with Tyler, The Creator and other friends from the industry, he made another connection with one his West Coast homies last night as they got back to the money.

Tyga took to Instagram to share a photo himself with A$AP Rocky reunited at last. T-Raww shared photos himself and Rocky in the studio and another one them linking up presumably after a show. Rocky has a towel over his head while hugging the “Taste” hitmaker. Clearly, Rocky’s a hot commodity these days and everyone is trying to get a verse from him. We’ll have to wait and see what Tyga and Rocky have in the stash.

Aside from his upcoming collab with Rocky, Tyga did bless us with a new album titled, Legendary this summer which included several his recent hits along with new ones.

Iggy Azalea Admits That She Hates Some Of Her Own Songs

Iggy Azalea‘s thrown the race card and the gender card as a way to explain why hip-hop doesn’t accept her. While she thinks being a white woman in hip-hop is difficult, she fails to acknowledge that it’s even more difficult being a Woman Of Color anywhere else. However, that’s not the point that’s supposed to be made in this article. This article is meant to highlight the growth and self-realization Iggy Azalea. Although she continues to make music that no one listens to, she may have realized why no one’s actually tuning in.

In a recent interview with Delish, Iggy Azalea was asked whether she has ever gotten sick her own song. Not only did she admit that there are several cuts in her catalog that she finds regrettable (although she didn’t reveal if her “Look Out For Detox” freestyle falls under that category), she revealed that some them didn’t age as well as she thought.

“Of course I get sick my own songs. In fact, some them I hate. Some songs I make and then they don’t age well, and like a year or two later I’m like, ugh, what was I thinking?! But people still like them! So some the songs I decide I hate, I still have to perform because the fans want to hear them. So, yes, I have gotten sick a song. A lot songs.”

Just a suggestion but maybe she might find better luck if she gets her boyfriend to ghostwrite her songs for her.

Michael Gandolfini Had Never Seen "The Sopranos" Before Auditioning For Prequel

It’s been long announced that Michael Gandolfini, son the late, great James Gandolfini is set to continue the family business portraying Tony Soprano; however, it was not until a recent interview with Esquire, that Michael Gandolfini mentioned having never seen The Sopranos before auditioning for the role.

Of the time his father spent filming the series, Michael said, “I was just a kid when he was making it. I would go to the set and ask him what it was about, and he’d say, ‘Oh, it’s about this guy who’s in the Mob and kind goes to therapy,’” Having to rewatch the series to prepare for the upcoming role was a challenge. Michael had to face his father again, “I think what made it so hard was I had to do it alone. I was just sitting alone in my dark apartment, watching my dad all the time. I started having crazy dreams. I had one where I auditioned for David and I looked down at my hands, and they were my dad’s hands.”

Michael mentioned one moment in particular that hit home rewatching the show, “One that crushed me was when he yells at A. J., and he gets a pizza to apologize, and he sits by his son’s bed and says, ‘I couldn’t ask for a better son.’ I just knew he was talking to me in that scene.”

You’ll be able to watch The Many Saints Newark on Septemeber 25th, 2020.
