Black Thought is working on an EP with seasoned producer 9th Wonder, reports OkayPlayer. At a Friday night event called Black Thought Cinema Presents, the rapper is said to have announced a new project with 9th, which sounds like it will be the first a few new releases from Thought. While the moment in which he made the announcement was not captured on video, the camera was rolling just a moment later: “It’s the first a series joints that I’m gonna be putting out called Streaming Thought. Be on the lookout for the music that we’re about to hit y’all with,” says Thought in a clip posted by Nodfactor.
9th Wonder hinted at the authenticity the report in a tweet.
In June last year, Black Thought revealed that 9th Wonder, as well as Salaam Remi, would be working on The Roots forthcoming 12th studio album End Game. “Last October we had a writers’ retreat at Electric Lady Studios in New York City for about a week or so,” he said. “Within that time we got about a good deal the groundwork what’s to come for the record, End Game. I’ve been working, writing and recording on it since then.”

French Montana was named a Global Citizen ambassador at a New York City ceremony Friday night, TMZ reports. French, who is the first rapper to earn the title, has done so through his charity work in Uganda over the last year. After filming the video for his Swae Lee-assisted single, “Unforgettable,” in Kampala, French helped launch Global Citizen’s #2BSTRONG petition, which asks leaders African countries to ensure mothers and children are given the healthcare they require during childbirth and early childhood.

“I feel like every mother and child deserves the same care, whether they’re from the U.S.] or back home in the motherland. It made my heart heavy,” French told Newsweek his first trip to Uganda last May. “I said that when I got back I’d do everything I can to help these mothers.”
Montana donated $100,000 out his own pocket to the Suubi Health Center in Budondo, Uganda. It goes towards purchasing the necessary equipment to assist mothers during childbirth. The Weeknd, Diddy, and Diddy’s Ciroc Vodka venture have all matched French’s donation. Diddy shared a video announcing his donation on YouTube just last week. It should assist at least 260,000 people, according to Global Citizen.
Contributions can be made to the maternity clinic expansion on this donation page for Mama Hope.
