WWE Champions Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch Announce Engagement

One WWE’s newest power couples, Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch, are ready to tie the knot.

Lynch, the Raw Women’s Champion, took to social media on Thursday night to share an engagement photo with her fans, along with the caption, “Happiest day my life. For the rest my life.” The duo went public with their relationship in May ahead the annual “Money In the Bank” PPV, and both have experienced tremendous success since then.

Lynch still has not dropped the Raw Women’s championship that she captured at Wrestlemania 35 in April, while Rollins regained the Universal Championship at SummerSlam earlier this month by defeating Brock Lesnar. Additionally, The Beast Slayer recently teamed up with Braun Strowman to take the Raw Tag Team titles away from Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.

Lynch and Rollins are far from the only pair WWE superstars involved in a romance. As wrestling fans have seen with Charlotte Flair and Andrade, Aleister Black and Zelina Vega, Rusev and Lana, The Miz and Maryse, and others, the WWE has made an effort to keep these couples on the same brand.

WWE reportedly plans to enforce the Raw-SmackDown brand split once SmackDown Live moves to Fox on October 4, so it’ll be interesting to see if those superstar couples remain on the same show.

Nipsey Hussle Foundation Receives Giant Donation From Atlantic Records: Report

Nipsey Hussle will be remembered forever as somebody who truly cared for those around him, putting on for his neighborhood and bettering the lives so many. Although he’s no longer with us, his legacy carries on through his family and those who share his positivity and light with the world. Thankfully, we still have his music, which will always be there to fall back on. When he passed away, the Neighborhood Nip Foundation was launched to raise awareness to the causes that were near and dear to the rapper’s heart. According to a press release from Karen Civil, one Nipsey Hussle’s close friends and business partners, Atlantic Records has just donated a substantial amount cash to the foundation.

On the eve the release Nip’s Puma collaboration, Atlantic Records reportedly came through with a major donation to the Neighborhood Nip Foundation, giving up an undisclosed six-figure sum. The exact number has not been revealed but wherever the needle lands in that range is pretty special. Hussle’s All Money In label was partnered with Atlantic during his lifetime so to see the massive business still supporting Nipsey after his murder is heartwarming.

Shoutout to Atlantic Records for the donation. Keep Nipsey Hussle’s family and friends in your prayers.

Lizzo Drops ‘Truth Hurts’ Remix with DaBaby

Before she takes the stage at the VMAs on Monday, Lizzo teams up with DaBaby on a remix of her top 5 smash “Truth Hurts.”

The young CEO, who recently collaborated with Lil Baby and Chance the Rapper, flexes with a boastful verse. “I just took a DNA test and it told me I’m the realest,” he raps before sharing his preference for a “hood bitch” over a “bitch from Harvard.”

Earlier today, Lizzo took the stage on the “Today” show’s Summer Concert Series where she performed hits including “Truth Hurts,” “Good as Hell,” “Juice,” and “Soulmate.”

She is now gearing up to hit the road again on her “Cuz I Love You Too Tour,” the second leg of her sold-out “Cuz I Love You Tour,” which kicks off Sept. 7 in New Orleans and wraps Oct. 28 in San Francisco.

blink-182 and Lil Wayne Team Up on ‘What’s My Age Again? / A Milli’ Mash-Up

In between dates on their co-headlining tour, blink-182 and Lil Wayne team up on a mash-up of “What’s My Age Again?” and “A Milli.”

The rock-rap hybrid is a take on two of their biggest hits, “What’s My Age Again?” from blink-182’s 1999 album Enema of the State and “A Milli” off Weezy’s 2008 album Tha Carter III. They originally performed the mash-up when they announced their tour earlier this year.

On Aug. 27, blink-182 and Lil Wayne will kick off the second leg of their co-headlining tour in Irvine, Calif., stopping in Seattle, Chicago, and New York before wrapping in Sacramento on Oct. 12. In celebration of the 20th anniversary of Enema of the State, blink-182 will perform the album in its entirety along with other hits.

blink-182 is also gearing up to release its new album Nine on Sept. 20, while Lil Wayne is working on his Funeral album.

Young Thug Compares New Album ‘Punk’ to Tupac

Young Thug is feeling like Pac.

Fresh off the release of So Much Fun, the prolific rapper has revealed plans for his next project Punk, which he describes as “more like Tupac.” During an interview with Rolling Stone, he explained the difference between the two projects.

So Much Fun is like nothing to be thought about. It’s only for fun purposes,” said Thug. “The name of the album is directly what it means. There’s no static to it. It’s just so much fun. I don’t even want you to think when you listen to this even if I’m saying a metaphorical bars or anything. I don’t want it to be nothing thought too hard about. I want it to be only party.”

He plans to dig deeper on Punk. “The difference from that and Punk is Punk is me letting them in on my real life,” he added. “Me letting them know all the situations I’ve been through. Opening up, letting the fans in, I feel like I never let ’em. I feel like I was always quit about certain things, because of people.”

He credits Tupac for inspiring his next body of work. “My best album would probably be Punk, because it’s more like real life. It’s more like Tupac,” he said. “Tupac could be one of the biggest rappers in the world, because he rapped what he rapped about. I had conversations with JAY-Z and he told me, ‘We gotta learn how to continue what Pac had going. Pac was a teacher. Pac teaches.’”

He continued, “This album Punk that I’m going to put out soon is probably going to be the best album, because it really teaches you, gives you life situations, it’s teaching I’m human. I am you. I am him. It’s very verbal. I think it’ll probably be the best album even though it’s not out.”

Additionally, the YSL Records boss is working on his Super Slimey 2 mixtape with Future, Lil Baby, and Gunna. “The impact that Lil Baby [and Gunna had] when they dropped [Drip Harder]. We always compared it like ‘Damn, there’s no such thing as a better duo, except those guys.’ Then these like our little brothers, for real,” he said. “We dropped knowledge on these guys and we feel like it’s just the right thing to do. Anything other than that is unacceptable.”

Watch Missy Elliott’s Epic ‘Throw It Back’ Video

Missy Elliott is an icon living.

In addition to dropping her Iconology EP, the Grammy-winning trailblazer debuts a video for one of the five tracks, “Throw It Back.” Missy keeps innovating and snatching wigs (“…Till I see their scalps)” in the dance-heavy clip, which opens with a cameo from Teyana Taylor, who schools a young girl on “the innovator of all innovators, the game-changing sensation.”

Missy rolls out the pink carpet as she and her dancers glide down the street in their pink suits and bald scalps. She then uses her braids as a jump rope and gets in formation with her florescent MCM-clad dancers. After riding in a chopped-up car and rocking an “Iconic” chain, she switches into a patent yellow jumpsuit. Misdemeanor the astronaut also plants her flag on the moon, reminding fans that she’s still got it.

“Missy still got them losing control and every night is still ladies night,” she raps.

The hip-hop icon will receive a special Moonman of her own at Monday’s MTV VMAs. She will be honored with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award and take the stage for her first performance in 16 years.

Aaliyah is being immortalized in wax.

Madame Tussauds Las Vegas is honoring the iconic singer on the 18th anniversary of her death with her very own wax figure, which was officially unveiled to the public on Wednesday.

The figure is a nod to Baby Girl’s iconic look from her 2000 video for “Try Again,” complete with bedazzled bra, rhinestone choker, and leather pants. Aaliyah’s family including her brother Rashad Haughton were instrumental in the creation and design process.

“I was involved in the process from the inception of the project,” Haughton told Vibe. “The team at Madame Tussauds welcomed a collaborative effort in choosing the pose and look of my sister’s figure. They made sure my mother and I were comfortable and supported through an amazing but understandably emotional process.”

The design team at Madame Tussauds in London made sure that all of Aaliyah’s family’s requests were honored, including her tattoos. “One thing we made sure to include was all of my sister’s tattoos,” added Haughton, who was on hand for the unveiling. “They are all quite hidden because my sister chose strategic places for them due to her on-camera film work. We know how devout and knowledgeable her fans are and the great artists at Madame Tussauds have no limitations to their abilities when it comes to detail.”

Aaliyah’s likeness was unveiled just days before the 18th anniversary of her death. The Princess of R&B died at the age of 22 in a plane crash in the Bahamas on Aug. 25, 2001.

Kodak Black Pleads Guilty to Federal Weapons Charges

Kodak Black has pleaded guilty to federal weapons charges.

The 22-year-old rapper entered the plea at a hearing in Miami federal court on Thursday, reports ABC News. He originally had pleaded not guilty.

In May, Black was charged with crimes including making false statements on federal forms to purchase three firearms. Prosecutors say a weapon purchased by Black was found at the scene of the Pompano Beach shooting.

Black faces up to eight years in prison. A federal judge denied his request for bond saying he was “danger to the community” based on his lengthy criminal record.

He will remain in a federal detention center in Miami until his sentencing on Nov. 13.

Additionally, the “ZEZE” hitmaker also faces drug, weapons, and sexual assault charges in other states.

Conor McGregor Admits Wrongdoing In Bar Incident, Says He’ll Fight This Year

UFC superstar Conor McGregor recently sat down for an interview with ESPN’s Ariel Helwani for a wide-ranging discussion in which they touched on McGregor’s troubles outside the octagon as well as his impending return to the UFC.

In regards to the recent video that surfaced, in which McGregor took a swing at an elderly man inside an Irish pub, the 31-year old took full responsibility and said he deserved to be called out by his colleagues.

Per ESPN:

“There is no answer to what was done. I was completely in the wrong. There’s no need to even discuss what began it, what was going on outside, inside — any that. I was completely in the wrong; it was unacceptable behavior, and I accept that.”

“I must get my head screwed on and just get back in the game and fight for redemption, retribution, respect — the things that made me the man I am. And that’s what I will do.”

As for his next fight, McGregor says he had originally planned to return in July, possibly against Justin Gaethje, but he suffered a broken left hand during a sparring session at the Crumlin Boxing Club. He is obviously still gunning for another shot at Khabib Nurmagomedov, but notes that he’ll be willing to go up against anyone, whether it be the Nate Diaz trilogy, Jorge Masvidal, Tony Fergson,Gaethje, or Max Holloway again.

When asked if his next fight will come this year, McGregor said:

“I would say true. I would say we can get that done. Like I said yesterday, I spoke to the surgeon about grappling. I’m going to begin grappling now. I’m already in shape. I have not lost my condition, so I’m in shape. I just need to sharpen up the grappling and just see how the grip feels on the wrist and things like that. But I can punch fully, so I would, I would; what are we now, August, come on. I would say so. I would look for that. Yes, for the end the year.”

Akon Weighs In On Jay Z’s NFL Partnership: “Somebody Has To Lead”

Jay Z’s new partnership wit the National Football League has sparked a lot controversy amongst the public over the past week or two. Athletes such as Panthers safety Eric Reid and Kenny Stills the Miami Dolphins have been critical Jay’s deal, meanwhile rappers like Vic Mensa, Cardi B & Killer Mike have all thought the opposite and believe Hov will do good for Kaepernick and the black community. Well it looks like Akon is joining the opinion his fellow artists and believes somebody needs to be leader in this situation. He told AllHipHop in a new interview that he thinks the move will allow for more likeminded individuals to be in positions power.

“So the move that Jay’s making to be a part the NFL does two things, I think it does two things for us. One, it puts one us inside. Cause you can’t make no changes unless you’re inside,” said Akon. “Now granted he’s going to be like a Democrat in the Republican house, but at least there’s a voice, and one voice eventually will turn into two, three, four, five, and so on. It’s still going to take time for changes to be made.”

He added, “Now we’ve got somebody in there that we didn’t actually lean on to say ‘bro.’ And he knows issues. Jay’s not stupid. N*gga ain’t get this far by not knowing what’s going on, and he knows it will probably be some potential backlash, but that backlash is worth it for the voice everybody. Because in the long run, at least now we got an anchor.”

“But we do it together, and I guarantee you, Jay will go in there and have more power than everybody expected. He better make moves for everybody out there. But we all gotta allow somebody to take the lead. We can’t be jealous, somebody has to lead.”

50 Cent Teases His Return To Music With New Song Preview

Street King Immortal is gone. At least, that’s what 50 Cent fans have come to accept as fact. When 50’s musical discography is discussed, the story appears to have ended with Animal Ambition, a project sadly deemed to be his most underwhelming in terms overall quality. Yet hope is not lost. It feels like Fif’s buzz hasn’t been this high in years, with many routinely tuning in to see what the brazen mogul has up his sleeve. As many those loyal fans originally pledged allegiance during his musical heydey, it stands to reason that they’d be more than willing to come full circle.

50 Cent Teases His Return To Music With New Song Preview

Luckily, it appears as if 50 is indeed plotting on a return to music. At least, he’s certainly testing the waters. Taking to Instagram, Fif shared a snippet a song he originally made for Power (no surprise there), in order to make them “understand what he wanted to do.” The track, called “Remarkable” harkens back to one his signature vibes; which is to say, the Thug-Luv formula originally explored on “21 Questions.” Off the bat, it’s evocative a simpler time, and should fuel nostalgic vibes in any tried-and-true 50 fan.

Now, the idea him releasing a full album certainly feels like wishful thinking. Yet maybe, should the response to “Remarkable” prove overwhelming, Fif will see the light and return to the booth. Would you be down for a new project from the G-Unit capo?
