James Harden Takes Court In New Signature Shoe: Adidas Harden Vol. 4

Houston Rockets All-NBA shooting guard James Harden will be taking the court in his fourth Adidas signature sneaker next season.

The Adidas Harden Vol. 4 won’t be ficially unveiled until sometime this Fall before the 2019-20 campaign tips f, but the kicks have already been designed and the man himself recently tested them out on the hardwood. Harden’s latest training session out in Los Angeles provided fans with an on-foot look what to expect from the Harden Vol. 4, which seems to pull some design cues from the Pharrell x Adidas BYW. Like Harden’s previous Adidas signatures, the upcoming model is the low-top variety.

Judging from some other early images that surfaced this summer, it appears the beloved Boost cushioning has been scrapped in favor Adidas’ new Lightstrike cushioning. Take a look at the on-foot shots, as well as some other images the upcoming Harden Vol. 4, in the IG posts embedded below.

Nike Allegedly Contemplated Paying Zion Williamson $35K To Join Duke

Michael Avenatti’s name has been in the news a lot over the past year and usually, it’s for some pretty suspect reasons. As right now, Avenatti is being accused extorting $20 million from Nike, after alleging that executives have been paying high school basketball players to go to Nike schools. One the schools that are sponsored by Nike is Duke, and Avenatti has made claims that Zion Williamson was one the players who was allegedly paid to go there.

Avenatti recently made a federal filing which according to Darren Rovell  The Action Networkcontains text messages between Nike recruiting coordinator John Stovall as well as EYBL employees Carlton DeBose and Jamal James. The documents allegedly depict James asking DeBose and Stovall about the possibility taking extreme measures to get certain players to commit to Nike schools. Zion Williamson and Romeo Langford were two the players mentioned in the messages. It’s also alleged that Stovall told James that Nike would give Williamson $35,000 and Langford $20,000. In the end, Zion went to Duke, while Langford went to Indiana which is sponsored by Adidas.

It’s important to note that these text messages do not prove any such payments were given out, while the authenticity these messages still remains to be seen. Nike has been adamant that they have done nothing wrong here and that Avenatti’s claims are false.

“Nike will not respond to the allegations an individual facing federal charges fraud and extortion. Nike will continue its cooperation with the government’s investigation into grassroots basketball and the related extortion case,” a Nike representative explained to Sole Collector.

Odell Beckham Jr. Sends Cease & Desist To Well Known Sneaker Customizer

Well known sneaker and cleat customizer Troy Cole, more commonly known simply as Kickasso, recently received a cease & desist notice from the legal team Odell Beckham Jr. The two have worked together on a number special edition spikes over the years, including pairs inspired by the “Red October” Nike Air Yeezy 2 and the “Graduation” album art.

Kickasso took to instagram on Tuesday night to share a photo the cease & desist letter, which prompted a brief exchange between him and Beckham Jr. in the comments section.

Following Kickasso’s initial post about the legal drama, OBJ wrote the following comment:

“Crazy. So much to say. Without a phone call or a text,” Beckham replied. “And u let the world kno some false bs thru some bs social media platform. I’m dissapointed in u bro bro. I went to war for u. Brought u directly to NIKE. It’s a shame it came to this. It’s really a shame.”

However, Kickasso says that’s not entirely true.

“That’s not true, we talked about this,” Cole wrote. “Never had a meeting with Nike except a travel to a greenbay game where I met cliff and @paulforce1 GREAT TIME AND MEETING BTW. And a trip to NY to make a bespoke. NEVER set down with anyone at Nike headquarters except Jordan Rogers IN THE LUNCH ROOM while I was on a trip to see Adidas.

“You say you went to war, I never saw the fruits that war. I was told by Cliff during your training at UCLA (where I came and dropped f 3 pairs for you that I turned around in a week) thinking I was about to get the chance a lifetime with you and Nike. Instead I was told that my services were no longer needed and to remain quite until I was needed Nike wanted to control the story with you. DONT YOU THINK WHEN YOU INVITED ME THAT DAY THAT YOU SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME THAT?! If I’m lying I’m dying. You can say what you want but I know the real you and you know the real me.”

Check out Kickasso’s recollection events in the IG posts embedded below.

Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 "Magnet" Set For This Fall: On-Foot Images

Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V3 "Alien" Finally Unveiled After Months Of Speculation

Ever since Kanye West came out with the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 back in 2016, fans have been anticipating the release the V3. There have been a ton teasers and rumors over the past few months but finally, it appears as though we finally have a solid look at what the shoe will look like. Thanks to this latest Instagram post from @yeezymafia, we have a fresh idea what the silhouette will be like and how the upper will be constructed overall.

Instead a low top, this shoe appears to be more a mid-cut with a stretchy elastic cuff for maximum comfort. The primeknit upper has a pattern we haven’t yet seen before from a Yeezy but when you consider how the name this colorway is “Alien,” it starts to make sense. As you would come to expect, there is Boost inside the midsole so you know these will be incredibly comfortable.

So far, release details on these are pretty scarce but it seems like they will cost $230 USD which is only $10 more than the V2.

Let us know in the comments below what you think about this shoe and whether or not this is a must-cop for you moving forward. We’ll be sure to bring you all the latest updates.

James Harden Gifts Struggling Woman & Family $10K Cash In Bahamas

James Harden is a real one. The Rockets guard maybe arguably the best point guard in the world, but it’s what he’s doing outside the basketball court right now that’s getting him in the headlines. Today, footage surfaced online showing Harden gifting a group family and friends $10,000 cash after he saw them fishing for food in the Bahamas.

The clip shows Harden handing his accomplice cash to give to the struggling woman, who in return was very thankful and saying “the struggle is real.”

However, that wasn’t a one time thing for Harden. James and his friends decided to give back to many others in the community as well and were seen giving cash to other random people and children in the streets (see below).

The act kindness goes a long way for those people, but it won’t hurt James’ bank account at all. The Rockets guard is currently on a 6-year $228 million contract, and that’s not even including his endorsement with Adidas.

In addition to all this, Harden will be running his JH-Town Weekend charity event come August 23-25 in Houston. Events include a comedy show and celebrity stball game, meanwhile proceeds will benefit his 3TheHardenWay organization.
