Skechers Claps Back At Nike Following Patent Infringement Lawsuit

Skechers has been under fire over the last few years for allegedly stealing designs from big companies such as Adidas. Most notably, Skechers released some shoes that looked eerily similar to Kanye West‘s Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V1 and fans immediately took notice. With this in mind, brands are now hyper-aware what Skechers is doing. Nike has been keeping tabs on the sneaker company and just a couple weeks ago, they filed a patent infringement lawsuit claiming the brand stole the design for the VaporMax and Air Max 270.

Just by looking at the shoes in question, it is fairly obvious that there was some inspiration here and Nike is looking to claim Skechers’ prits from these shoes. Skechers is a huge company and as you can imagine, they are looking to fight this lawsuit tooth and nail. What is surprising, however, is that they decided to make a public statement on the matter through Twitter.

“Skechers respects the intellectual property rights others but our much larger competitor continues to use its vast resources to stifle competition in the courtroom rather than compete in the marketplace,” Skechers wrote in a statement.

For now, both brands are at odds and we will have to see this play out in the courts for a while. Stay tuned for updates on this case.

Kim Kardashian Flexes Mysterious Adidas Yeezy Foam Runner: Photos

Kanye West has turned some heads with his Yeezy line as many the designs are pretty unorthodox when you compare them to some the silhouettes that have come before them. West has been able to set numerous trends over the last few years most notably the whole dad shoe craze. Having said that, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Ye is constantly looking for ways to make his shoes even weirder.

Perhaps the best example this is the Adidas Yeezy Foam Runner which has been teased quite a bit over the past couple months. The shoe is supposed to drop some time within the next few months and fans are curious as to how it’s all going to come together. Quite frankly, the sneaker looks like a futuristic pair Crocs and some are skeptical as to whether or not it will be successful. Kanye’s wife Kim Kardashian doesn’t seem to care about the criticism because she has been proudly flexing the shoe in public.

In her latest Instagram post, Kim can be seen rocking the Foam Runner and based on the caption, she seems to be loving them. Thanks to her endorsement, the shoe will probably do much better than some sneakerheads anticipate although it doesn’t take away from the peculiar design. These are an acquired taste that will require some ficial images prior to their release

James Harden Hailed "Greatest Scorer Ever" By Adidas, NBA Twitter Reacts

James Harden has had a ton hype surrounding him the past few years thanks to his incredible play with the Houston Rockets. The team is consistently one the best in the Western Conference and even though they haven’t made it to the Finals under his leadership, fans remain optimistic.

Harden’s play has mostly been categorized by the fact that he is a prolific scorer who can put up over 30 points per game seemingly at will. Harden went on some pretty incredible streaks throughout last season and with Russell Westbrook on his side, he is in a position to do even more damage this campaign. In a new advertisement from Adidas, the brand with three stripes takes advantage Harden’s talents and the narrator even calls him the “greatest scorer ever.”

This is as bold a take as you will ever see considering some the phenomenal legends that have played the game basketball. Calling Harden the greatest scorer ever would ignore players like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Michael Jordan, Wilt Chamberlain, and to some extent LeBron James.

NBA fans immediately noticed this ad and took to Twitter to voice their displeasure at the messaging. Clearly, not many people agree with Adidas’ thesis.
