Yeezy, Nike, & Jumpman Headline The Best-Selling Shoes Of 2019

There were plenty dope sneakers released in 2019 and once again, many sneaker companies saw their prits rise. From Adidas, to Nike, to Jumpman, there were a plethora shoes out on the market which led to a wide variety sales. Thanks to Matt Powell  the NPD Group, we now know which models performed the best this year and quite honestly, some these results are pretty surprising.

The report features a top 10 which begins with the Air Jordan 11 in tenth spot. From ninth all the way to first we have the Nike Air Max 97, Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star Low, Vans Ward, Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2, Air Jordan 4, Adidas NMD R1, Nike Tanjun, Nike Air Force 1 Low, and Nike Air Max 270.

Nike

Interestingly, these results aren’t based on the success one colorway, but multiple. This means the more colorways released, the better chance a shoe had ending up on the list. With this in mind, it shouldn’t be so shocking that the Nike Air Force 1 Low was second while the Air Max 270 was first.

The Adidas NMD R1 performed quite well this past year despite the decaying hype surrounding the sneaker. Not to mention, the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 is still going strong and thanks to numerous new colorways, it found its way to number 6.

What do you think these results? Did you cop anything on the list?

Eminem & Dr. Dre Rep LL Cool J With Fly "Rock The Bells" Attire

There’s a certain reverence reserved for hip-hop veterans and rightfully so. After everything the game’s pioneers have given to the culture, they deserve to be celebrated accordingly. One such presence is LL Cool J, arguably the most underrated lyricist all time — that’s’ not to say underrated by his peers, but by the masses who neglect to recognize his influence. For both Eminem and Dr. Dre, LL Cool J has earned nothing but the utmost respect. Within the last few years, both men sat down with LL for a rare interview on Rock The Bells Radio, a testament to the mutual admiration across the board.

Taking to Instagram to flex their new gear, both Em and Dre showed f their Rock The Bells varsity jackets, as delivered by LL himself. Em’s even came in a custom boom-box packaging, a callback to his t-cited hip-hop purism.

Though Eminem himself never ended up working with the “Rock The Bells” legend, Dre and LL did previously link up on “Zoom” in 1998 — the Bulworth OST cut marked their only collaboration to date. Check out the pictures below, and show some love to Eminem, Dre, and LL Cool J in the comments.

Lil Wayne’s "Funeral" Merch Pays Tribute To The Many Eras Of Weezy

While delivering his new album Funeral on Friday was a major treat in itself, Lil Wayne decided to go a step further and throw out some coinciding merch for fans to cop in partnership with nostalgia-focused apparel imprint Infinite Archives.

Calling him a “Child Prodigy” given his youthful start to rap — Weezy apparently wrote his first rap at age 8 and was recording with Cash Money just one year later — Infinite Archives created a graphic motif that collages all the milestones in his life up to this point. The illustrations a bandana-rocking, pre-teen Weezy are a sight to see, but fans will immediately be drawn to the portions that pay tribute to album covers for Tha Carter, Tha Carter II, Tha Carter III, Tha Carter IV and Tha Carter V. His most recent album is etched into the design scheme on the back shoulder, and overall just makes for something you’d actually want to rock as a career-long supporter  Wayne’s artistry.

Cop the merch for Lil Wayne’s Funeral album by Infinite Archives right now on shop.lilwaynefuneral.com for a limited time only — the sale ends on Monday, February 3. See what’s available below:
