Nearly one year after releasing her debut album Shea Butter Baby, Ari Lennox follows it up with her remix EP.
The Dreamville songstress, who celebrated her 29th birthday on Thursday, calls on Doja Cat for the remix to “BMO,” which served as the third single from Shea Butter Baby. The “Juicy” rapper breaks off a punchline-filled verse over the slapping track.
“Break me off / Actin’ like a Kit Kat, taste it all / Like it when you turn yo ringer off / And turn me on and take it off,” raps a sassy Doja.
Lennox’s three-track EP also includes a remix to “I Been” with Smino and “Facetime” featuring singer Durand Bernarr, with production from J. Cole, Craig Brockman, Omen, Ron Gilmore, and Elite.

Ari Lennox Basks In Memory Of Sex With Unnamed Celebrity
We may all be sequestered to our respective homes, but that doesn’t mean you can’t communicate with the ones you love. Whether it be virtually or through the good ol’ fashioned mail, there are ways to reach out and send your love to your friends and family, and if you choose the latter method, you can even send more than love– you can send a care package filled with goodies.
We don’t know if this is what Gucci Mane did when he sent Lil Baby an icy new chain, but we’d like to imagine it is. “How The Fucc You Get A 1017 Ain’t You 4PF,” he postures to his followers in the caption. Gucci, for his part, has been busy signing new artists, and asking his fans who he should sign. Among those new signees is Ola Runt, whom Baby shouts out in his caption.
In response to Baby sharing his iced out 1017 chain with the world, Gucci also commented and big upped the rapper in the process– quite the compliment coming from Gucci– he replied, “U saved the city Vato.”
What do you think? Did Lil Baby save the ATL? Peep the chain below.
For whatever reason, the fact that we almost got a Rakim and Dr. Dre album has been hitting harder these days — perhaps the legendary emcee has been feeling the same way. Today, Rakim linked up with KXNG Crooked for an extensive episode Crook’s Corner, and it didn’t take long for the fabled project to come up.
“Everybody want to know, how was your time on Aftermath, man?” asks Crook. “It was ill, man,” replies The God Emcee. “I learned a lot sitting with Dre and being around for that little bit time. Being in Cali too. I lived in Cali for three years. Dre, still one the best producers ever. I was about to do a deal with Dreamworks, and one the people called Dre up for some beats]. Long story short, Dre called me and was like, ‘If you’re about to sign, sign with me directly.”
“Me and Dre spoke, and we had an idea what we wanted to do,” he continues. “He knew there was big expectations on it, I knew there would be big expectations on it. I knew Dre would bring the best out me. Dre knew he had to make some spectacular shit. I think what we didn’t realize is we were so different. Even our process. Dre already has his formula that worked with everything he did. I was growing from what I been through, trying to leave a lot stereotypical things that people assumed about me and what I was doing behind.”

“Everybody thought I was selling cocaine,” says Rakim. “They see you in the hood, dressed a certain way, and they think Ra selling drugs…It definitely affected me for a while, everybody thinking I’m a drug dealer. I don’t get down like that. I was trying to leave the negativity behind and make good music. Dre, that’s his ingredient. Of course he wanted me to talk about what I’ve been through, and I was over that. That was our misunderstanding. We couldn’t really get on the same page. I think if we could have balanced it out, we could have made an incredible album. Again man, Dre — I don’t know if he ever missed.”
“I think we knew what it could have been, but again he was dealing with some things in his camp and the stars didn’t align. That would have been a crazy album,” says Rakim. Crooked brings up “The Watcher 2,” sparking a wave nostalgia in both parties. “I remember when I first started working with him he gave me a couple his producers to work with til he moved some things out the way to get in the studio with me. I told him, I had no problem working with them, but how do you tell a person I’m saving my best shit for you, bruh? When I hear a Dre beat…I knew I had to step my game up.”
While the fabled Dre and Rakim album never came to fruition, perhaps there is still hope. Rakim took a moment to address Dre directly, inviting the good Doctor to reconnect for a bucket list project. “Whatup baby!” says Ra, sending his message into the ether. “Let’s get back at it man. I don’t want to hang my mic up and look back like there’s some things I should have did or could have did and never did, and that’s one them. I always wonder how that would have turned out. Blessings.”
Chris Brown and Tyga are net letting lockdown get them down.
While in quarantine, the friends and frequent collaborators are turning to TikTok to pass the time. The Fan of a Fan duo reunited at Chris’ Tarzana, Calif. mansion to create some fun video content for their millions of followers. In one clip, Breezy is seen dancing to MC Hammer’s “U Can’t Touch This” on his basketball court while Tyga and YouTube star Austin McBroom look on before joining in.
Quarantine has been making them restless as a second video proves. “Ayo, my best friend’s rich check,” says Tyga in the clip before panning the camera to Breezy, who is seen running around his basketball court and home arcade and showing off his many cars. Mustard’s “Baguettes in the Face” serves as the soundtrack.
Both videos have racked up millions of views. Tyga has also been posting solo TikTok videos including one set to Curtis Roach’s “Bored in the House,” which has become a self-quarantine anthem. Meanwhile, Chris has been quarantined at home while his son Aeko and the baby’s mother Ammika Harris are in Germany. She hasn’t been able to return home due to the travel restrictions. “MISSING MY MINI ME,” he wrote.
Other celebrities have turned to TikTok to entertain themselves including Ciara and Russell Wilson, Jennifer Lopez, and LeBron James, who shared his “Quarantined Tik Tok Chronicles” by dancing to Wiz Khalifa’s “Something New.”
Chris and Tyga have collaborated throughout the years on several tracks including “Loyal” and “Ayo.” In 2015, they released their joint project Fan of a Fan: The Album.
NBA Youngboy has ten been prohibited to travel or move state-to-state (let alone leave the country) because his complicated history with the police. The young Baton Rouge native has had his fair share arrests, which has led to both jail time and probation time. It’s hard to keep track his current situation, although it would seem he’s f probation (or at least now has some flexibility) as an hour ago, he shared a video clip himself touching down in Chicago.
This just begs a bigger question, and that is to say, where is Youngboy going? Why is he travelling to Chicago at a time when the world is essentially entirely shut down? Surely he’s not performing. Is it an important studio session? Before the world went into full quarantine/”are we in a movie”-mode, the rapper was spotted in the studio with DaBaby, so he’s definitely got collaborations cooking up.
Fans seemed to be equally curious as to why Youngboy was hitting Chi-town amid a pandemic. There were countless replies to his video post encouraging the rapper to “stay safe,” and be weary the Corona.
Eternal Atake debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 on Sunday (March 15) with roughly 288,000 total album equivalent units sold in its first week, marking his first No. 1 album. The project then topped the chart for a second consecutive week with another 247,000 total album equivalent units sold.
Lil Uzi had 20 songs debut on the Hot 100 during Eternal Atake’s initial charting week. Drake and Lil Wayne are the only other two rappers to have accomplished that feat.
In total, Lil Uzi has a total of 62 tracks that have hit the chart chart. In 2020 alone, 34 of his songs have arrived on the Hot 100, the most of any artists this year. DaBaby had the most entries in 2019 with 22, while Drake finished with the most at 35 in 2018.
Starting f his career with countless doubters, Atlanta star Lil Gotit managed to change people’s opinions rather quickly. Switching his style up and listening to his detractors, the 20-year-old is now viewed as one the most promising young talents coming out the hip-hop hub. Fresh f his collaborative album with London On Da Track, Superstar Creature, Lil Gotit will return next month with the release Hood Baby 2, the long-awaited sequel to his celebrated HB project.
Revealing the drop date and tracklist for the upcoming body work, Lil Gotit strayed away from his previous promise to make the collection 35-songs long. Thankfully, Hood Baby 2 will only contain 19 tracks, which is a significant drop-f from his prior reveal. Features include Future, Guap Tarantino, Gunna, Lil Yachty, Lil Duke, Dae Dae, and more. His blood brother Lil Keed makes several appearances, as well.
After the success his last compilation, this serves as another opportunity for the young up-and-comer to continue opening new eyes to his product, convincing the haters as he grows.
Lil Gotit will be unleashing HB2 on April 10. Take a look at the full tracklist below and let us know if you’re keeping an eye out for it.
Congratulations are in order for Kevin Hart and his wife Eniko, who announced today that they are expecting a baby.
The Hart family has been through a lot in the last year, including a near-fatal car crash involving the patriarch the bunch. Thankfully, Kevin Hart has made a full recovery and got back to work late last year. The comedian was made aware what’s truly important to him when he almost lost his life, and he made a decision with his wife to continue growing their family. It is with excitement that Eniko and Kevin announce that they are expecting another bundle joy!

“In the midst all this we’re counting our blessings and couldn’t be more grateful,” wrote Eniko Hart on Instagram, referring to the coronavirus pandemic. “Soon to be a family 6.”
Kevin Hart has two children from his marriage with Torrei Hart, and one from his marriage to Eniko Hart. Join us in wishing the Hart family well as they welcome another baby into the world. Hopefully, all this COVID-19 fear is over by the time Baby Hart arrives.
Take a look at Eniko’s first maternity photo below and predict the baby’s name in the comments.
DaBaby may be a man action, but that’s not to say he isn’t for the children; after all, he is prone to going baby, sometimes even baby on baby. During these desperate times self-isolation and voluntary quarantine, one must find comfort in the simple pleasures life. For DaBaby such pleasures include hosting a baking session, a cupcake extravaganza sure to lift the spirits the young ones in his family.
Brad Barket/Getty s
Taking to Instagram to stream the event, DaBaby introduced his sous-chefs as “Baby Kirk,” “Neicy Red,” and “Crazy Man.” With the new Lil Uzi Vert album and Drake & Future‘s “Life Is Good” blasting in the background, Baby goes step by step in guiding the youngsters through the process. With their minds stimulated, the kids seem eager to be involved, prompting Baby to channel his dad energy and implore patience — a futile task, given the volatile combination children and sugar.
Yet somehow, he manages. Before long, the kids are stirring up a storm while DaBaby oversees the process proudly. “If they can’t stop fighting put everybody to work! STIR! STIR! STIR!” he captions. Unfortunately, the clip leaves on a cliffhanger, leaving us without a glimpse the finished project. Either way, it’s a nice window into DaBaby as a family man, and it’s wholesome to see him serving as a positive role model in an otherwise uncertain time. Be safe out there, and be sure to enjoy the little things.
A scammer with a heart gold, Guapdad 4000 has ficially done his part to combat the inevitable reality cabin fever. Though in-person collaborations will fall to a minimum in the weeks to come, the Ferragamo Falcon has concocted a brilliant scheme to keep his skills sharp and his fans entertained. Introducing “RONA RAPS,” an online cypher organized by Guap and co-hosted by one his many emcee friends. For the inaugural launch, Guap has brought Buddy into the mix, who opted to choose a J Dilla classic for the occasion.

Despite the relatively low-stakes nature the freestyle, Guapdad 4000 actually snaps. “Boss shit, I got options, I could opt in / I see red, pew, I’m Cyclops with the optics,” he spits, before sliding into comedian mode. “Balls only blue when I fuck my crip bitch, she be like — I’m cummin’ Cuz.” From there, the effortless flow only picks up, closing out with some heat. “It’s the Rona Rap raptor, I’m sitting at home watching bad actors, hoping that this shit is not the rapture.”
After a hearty proclamation “quaran-sixteens,” Buddy holds it down with the second verse, basing the majority his flow-scheme around the hypnotic vocal sample. “Talking this and that, I heard the album and I thought the shit was wack,” spits Buddy, Toy Story mug in hand for added impact. “I never would play myself out like that, but uhhhhhh I guess that’s where you at n***a!” It didn’t take long for rappers like Chance The Rapper, Mez, Yung Baby Tate, Lute, and more to hit the comment section feeling all the more inspired. Keep an eye out for Guapdad’s next episode “Rona Raps,” which is set to feature an appearance from Smino.
Future and his baby mama drama continue as Eliza Reign, a woman who claims the rapper is the father her 11-month old daughter, accuses him trying to drive her to her go broke. According to The Blast, Reign has filed court documents demanding that his lawsuit against her gets dismissed in court.

As you’ve heard, Reign previously filed a paternity suit against the rapper who later filed his own suit against her in an attempt to prevent her from speaking on his name publicly. But Reign’s latest response to his dispute not only claims that she was his “paramour” for years, but she also alleges that he’s been trying to cause her to go bankrupt.
“The Defendant is the Plaintiff’s former paramour several years, and also the Mother his 11-month-old daughter, R.W,” the response reads before she describes Future trying to “intimidate, harass, and financially drain the Mother herein so that she will either dismiss or accept an unfavorable settlement in the paternity proceedings which are currently pending before” the family court.”
She adds, “To the contrary, his ual relations with 7 other women with whom he has fathered children are all documented and widely reported on the internet and discussed on social media. It is unknown why he would think this one would be any different.”
She wants the case tossed and for the rapper to pay her attorney fees.
The man who broke into the home XXXTentacion’s mother, Cleopatra Bernard, and has allegedly been stalking her, has ficially been charged. According to The Blast, the Florida Assistant State Attorney has filed 5 criminal charges against Donovan Marlon Banton. Banton has been accused stalking the late rapper’s mother over the course several months. A police report reveals that Banton allegedly drove from New York to Florida on a few separate occasions in an attempt to make contact with Bernard. During his last attempted intrusion, he allegedly tried to get Bernard to open the door her home and threw a brick through her back window, before retrieving the brick and smashing the window her Range Rover. The police were called, and ficers found Banton with a small ax, a pry bar, and two pairs gloves.

During questioning, Banton admitted that the reason he has been trying to contact Bernard is because he has supposedly been receiving “sadistic messages” from X in his dreams. He believed that the only way to put an end to these “sadistic games” was to find X’s mother. Bernard was granted a criminal protective order against Banton, who has entered a not guilty plea to all charges. This developing legal battle follows Bernard’s separate custody dispute with X’s baby mother, Jenesis Sanchez, which has ficially reached settlement.
