NLE Choppa Debuts Haunting Piano Versions Of "Shotta Flow" & "Camelot"

It’s a little strange to hear NLE Choppa rapping his lyrics without his signature aggressive flow but still, he sounds solid over live piano accompaniment. The 17-year-old Memphis rapper has been turning heads all year, establishing himself as one the strongest new-school rappers out. His hit singles “Shotta Flow” and “Camelot” have both performed well, even earning the rapper some potential spots on year-end media lists. The former netted him his current reputation as a hard-hitting spitter who uses menacing tactics to get one-up on his opps. Contrasting his usual performative style, Baby Mexico came through for Audiomack’s Fine Tuned series, singing both tracks with a live pianist and impressing the masses.

You’ve never heard “Camelot” or “Shotta Flow” like this before. In the short video, Choppa comfortably spits his flows over Matt Composure’s smooth keys. The rapper is considerably tamer than in his regular live set. Performing the cuts as a medley, the musician went seamlessly from “Shotta Flow” to “Camelot” without any hesitation, laughing about how out breath he became at the one-minute mark.

The teenager recently performed at the Day N Vegas Festival, where famed interviewer Nardwuar caught up with him backstage. Watch that here and be sure to check out the stripped-down version his live set below.

Future’s Alleged Texas Baby Mama Can’t Find Him To Serve Paternity Papers

This is seriously getting out hand. At the moment, Future is fighting back against his alleged baby mama Eliza “Reign” Seraphin in court, attempting to push a gag order on her to prevent her from publicly speaking about the case. Things are moving slowly in that case and Seraphin is requesting that Hendrix pay her lawyer fees. While that’s still ongoing, another woman has accused Future fathering her child without accepting paternity or paying her any financial compensation. According to The Blast, Cindy Renae Parker, a Texas woman who came forward several weeks ago to allege that Future is the father her baby, is currently unable to locate the rapper to serve him with paternity, child support, and other legal papers.

Parker reportedly sued the “Crushed Up” singer last month for custody, child support and paternity but since then, she has been unsuccessful in actually getting him the paperwork. Fewtch is allegedly the father her son Legend Ary Wilburn. Before she can actually follow through with her case though, she needs to get the papers to the rapper, which has proven to be a difficult task. Parker reportedly had a process server attempt to deliver the documents to him multiple times but each instance failed.

How hard can it be to find this man? Do you think Future will ever fess up to this? That being if he’s actually the baby daddy…

Following the release his ficial debut album, Dave East continues his press run with some bars for the LA Leakers. Hoodied up in blue, Dave East wastes little time in exuding pure New York lyricist energy. “I’m the spliff holder, grip holder on big posters, Billboard showing my features I’m for the culture,” he raps, proving that the LA Leakers don’t miss when lining up lyricists. He takes a moment to scowl, a scowl so intense it’s basically a bar. And then he’s back at it again. “No time to act cute, mafia pull up in black suits,” warns Dave. “We ain’t flashing guns, these gats shoot.” As he hits his second wind, he queues up another crazy scheme. “Saved a bunch my n***as they look at me like Harriet,” he raps. “Broke was so embarrassing I cleared it up like Claritin.” Suffice it to say, the man snaps, effectively bringing pure East Coast swagger to the west coast.

Kodak Black’s Prison Guard Attack: Rapper Was High & Grabbed His Testicles

When it was reported that Kodak Black had gotten into a fight with a prison guard last month, things started looking bad for the Florida-based rapper. Already, the Project Baby was facing up to ten years in the slammer and this pretty much guaranteed the fact that he would be getting some hard time on his books. Yesterday, the recording artist was sentenced in relation to his firearms arrest in the Spring and he was handed down a forty-six-month sentence. That means that for over the next three years, we will likely not be hearing a new song from Kodak Black. During his court hearing, the judge scolded Kodak for being such a negligent young adult, noting that he’s been “doing stupid things since he] was fifteen.” Now, details regarding his fight with the security guard have been released.

It has already been made clear that the guard reportedly required surgery for his injuries and now, Kodak’s involvement in the brawl is being outlined. According to the Miami Herald, the rapper was under the influence drugs at the time the attack. He was pepper-sprayed by the man, which caused Kodak to lash out and punch the guard twice before reportedly grabbing his testicles and holding on for so long that “his abdomen and intestinal wall were breached.” Four ficers were required to hold him back.

No charges have been filed yet against Black for the prison fight. One thing is for sure though; he will absolutely need to stay out trouble for these next three years and change. If not, he risks losing his entire career.

Unknown to many, there was a time that Omarion was considered a Young Money affiliate for all four months. Lil Wayne announced that Omarion would be joining the label but due to some “business reasons,” things changed.

“I was looking to find a new home, so to speak, more a partnership aspect to my business. So I signed a deal with Young Money, and it was an exciting thing,” Omarion told Vlad TV, as seen below. “Basically, long story short, what happened was when I signed my deal I was supposed to get my advance. And the lawyers were talking, and basically, upon signing you’re supposed to get the advance in a specific time. Within that time, my check didn’t come.”

Apparently Omarion and Lil Wayne had a little bit back and forth on the deal since he still didn’t receive his money. After even more back and forth and broken promises, Omarion finally called the deal f. “I’m like, no fam, I can’t do this,” he said.

J.J. Fad Geeks After Their ‘Supersonic’ Hit Is Chosen For ‘Sonic The Hedgehog’ Trailer

MC JB, Baby D and Sassy C — collectively known as J.J. Fad — were the first female artists signed to Ruthless Records. In 1988, they dropped their monster hit “Supersonic” and have reveled in a legacy beyond their imagination.

On Tuesday (November 12), JB discovered “Supersonic” had been used in the official trailer for the upcoming animated film Sonic The Hedgehog. While she knew there was a possibility, it wasn’t actually confirmed — until now.

“We are so excited,” JB tells HipHopDX. “They just contacted us in August out of the blue and asked for clearance. They said they weren’t sure if they were going to use it or not. So today, when I got all these calls and texts, I was like, “Well I guess they used it [laughs]!”

JB never envisioned the longevity “Supersonic” would have when they were crafting it alongside producer Arabian Prince. But over 30 years later, J.J. Fad is still touring and eating of its success.

” It’s insane what one mega hit can do,” she says. “We are so blessed and honored that they chose the song. We hope they ask us to make a special appearance at the premiere. Now that would be epic!”

Sonic The Hedgehog is expected to arrive in 2020.

Dave East Recalls When Tekashi 6ix9ine Was A Quiet Cameraman

Big Boy has been steadily proving himself to be the best hip-hop interviewer in the game, never failing to get his guests laughing, dropping gems, and generally making great conversation. Dave East, fresh f the release his brand new album Survival, proved to be no exception. Covering a wide range topics, one the more insightful moments occurred around the fifty-two-minute mark, when the inevitable topic Tekashi 6ix9ine was raised.

East explains that he sensed something being afoot from the jump, making it clear he called 6ix9ine’s nature on day one. “I met him though,” claims East. “He was with one my homies. We was in the studio. He didn’t have no tattoos, no rainbow hair. He had a regular haircut. He sat in the corner. He was a cameraman, he used to do videos. That’s a fact. He said wassup, he smoked, drank, real L7. Next time I seen him, he was the biggest blood I ever seen. The biggest blood on Earth.” In fact, the transformation was so extreme that East didn’t even make the connection – at least not at first.

“I knew a lot people in the video with him,” continues Dave. “They ficial. That’s what threw me f! I was like why they with him? I know how they give it up. It’s the money man, money’s crazy. Money and fame make people do things they wouldn’t normally do. If it ever went bad he was telling, for sure. He ain’t from it, he didn’t sign up for that. That’s what you gotta understand. If it’s somebody that come from that and know the rules…I always explain this to people. We from the hood call people snitches. Nowhere else do they care!”

UFC’s Nick Diaz Angling For Jorge Masvidal Fight In 2020

Nick Diaz is reportedly interested in making a return to the UFC in 2020, which would be his first fight since January 31, 2015. Naturally, Nick is eyeing a fight against Jorge Masvidal, the man who defeated his younger brother, Nate Diaz, for the “Baddest Motherfucker” title at UFC 244.

According to ESPN, Diaz’s manager, Kevin Mubenga, says the goal is to set up a fight against Masvidal in the spring at the home the Dallas Cowboys, AT&T Stadium.

During a sit down interview with ESPN’s Ariel Helwani, Diaz described how he took exception to Masvidal saying he was going to “baptize” Nate during their BMF bout. Speaking the BMF title, Nick says that’s really his belt anyway.

“All I see is fucking dollar signs right now,” Diaz said Masvidal ( MMA News). “It’s not on me. You wanna talk about baptizing my younger brother, that’s on you. I never had nothing disrespectful to say, but you don’t talk about baptizing my younger brother. So you’re already in a fucked up position if you fight with me. You don’t fucking talk about baptizing someone’s younger brother. That’s my baby brother, you don’t talk like that to nobody. So who rides on who’s side?”

“The BMF, the 170, that’s my belt,” Diaz said (H/T MMA Junkie). “But I’m not going to get in my brothers way taking it. As far as I’m concerned that’s my belt. … This ain’t up to no UFC. We’ve seen that in the past already. I don’t need to do anything more than what I’ve already done here. I don’t know what to tell you people. All I know if I’ve got a whole lot people who feel the same way.”

Nick’s last fight in 2015 was a decision loss to Anderson Silva, although the outcome was later ruled a no-contest after Silva tested positive for banned substances. Diaz (26-9-0, 2 NC) had also failed a drug test for marijuana metabolites, which marked his third such failed drug test, and he was suspended for five years. That ban was ultimately reduced to 18 months.

Nick and Jorge were originally scheduled for UFC 235 in March, but nothing was ever finalized. Judging from the video posted on instagram by Masvidal’s manager, Malki Kawa, it looks like Team Masvidal is more than ready for another go with the Nick Diaz Army.

Antonio Brown Uses Meal Prep To Shoot His Shot At JT Of City Girls

Antonio Brown has been chilling this season as he is currently without a team due to his incessant antics away from the field. The New England Patriots were the last team to give him a chance but promptly released his after a few f the field issues. Now, AB is spending the vast majority his time on social media where he has gotten himself in trouble at times with his words.

The only thing we haven’t seen Brown do is use his platform to try and court women. Well, that all changed today when at exactly 11:11 AM on November 11th, Brown sent some feelers out to none other than JT from City Girls.

“Thinking about dating a city girl y’all tell JT get @ me ! AB got the meal plan baby I know you just jumped baby 11:11,” Brown said. No, your eyes are not deceiving you. Brown really tried to use meal prep as a way to pick up a woman. Now, when you’re a pressional athlete, you would expect a certain level game that goes above and beyond the four food groups.

Either way, it will be interesting to see if Brown and JT cross paths at some point. Who knows, maybe JT has been looking for exactly what AB can cook up.

With 78,000 equivalent album units, Hollywood’s Bleeding slides back up from No. 2 to No. 1 after being replaced for a week by Kanye West‘s Jesus Is King. The last album to spend at least five weeks on the chart was Drake‘s Scorpion. In his case, that reign was consecutive. Throughout its run, Posty’s third studio album has been interrupted from the No. 1 spot from outings such as DaBaby‘s KIRK and the aforementioned Jesus Is King, which swaps places to sit at No. 2 this week with 72,000 units. NBA Youngboy’s AI Youngboy 2 closes out the top three with 62,00 units this week.

While matching Drake’s record, Post Malone also broke his own record as his sophomore Beerbongs & Bentleys outing most recently logged a 77th week in the top 10 the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, tying the streak previously set by his debut Stoney. Both albums surpass the 76 week record previously held by Michael Jackson’s Thriller and top other records such as Whitney Houston’s self-titled album (64 weeks), Drake’s Scorpion (55 weeks), and Anita Baker’s Rapture (55 weeks).
