It’s well established at this point that football is a violent sport but sometimes, certain actions go well beyond the scope a football field. On Thursday night, Myles Garrett the Cleveland Browns got into a huge altercation with Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph. The whole situation took the NFL world by storm and immediately created a firestorm on Twitter. As you can see from the clip below, Garrett tackles Rudolph which results in a bit a melee. That’s when Garrett rips Rudolph’s helmet f and attacks him with it. The Steelers fensive line takes Garrett to the ground and promptly gives him the business.
Once this play made its way to Twitter, fans, pundits, and players were up in arms over what had just happened. Some people are calling for Garrett to be suspended for the rest the season while others want him to get arrested for assault. Clearly, the latter is not going to happen but it’s interesting to see the wide array reactions to what just happened. Even Garrett’s own teammate, Baker Mayfield, was upset with what happened and had some interesting words about the whole thing.
Check out some the most prominent reactions below.
Los Angeles Clippers point guard Patrick Beverley has earned a reputation for being a stingy defender and a complete menace on the court who always seems to find a way to get under his opponent’s skin. However, according to Russell Westbrook, Beverley isn’t as an elite a defender as everyone thinks.
Following the Houston Rockets’ 102-93 victory over the Clippers on Wednesday night, Westbrook laughed f Pat Bev’s defensive prowess while pointing out that James Harden went f for 47 points in the win.
“Pat Bev trick y’all man, like he play defense. He don’t guard nobody man. He just running around doing nothing. As you seen what happened. 47.”
Westbrook and Beverley have a history with each other that dates back to 2013 when Russ was still a member the Oklahoma City Thunder and Beverley was playing for the Rockets. Their on-court beef is always something to watch and it’ll be even more interesting to watch moving forward given Westbrook’s recent comments – even if Beverley acted unfazed by his remarks last night.
“Don’t start that, don’t start that,” Beverley told ESPN as he exited the Clippers’ locker room after being informed Westbrook’s comments. “I don’t care about that.”
The two teams will meet again in Los Angeles on December 19.
Kyle Lowry will not be able to play when the Toronto Raptors face f against the Los Angeles Clippers. Kawhi Leonard led the Raptors to their first championship last season but switched to the Clippers in the fseason. His move left multiple Raptor fans disappointed, and many them were excited that the upcoming game would be a form revenge. Their hopes have been severely dashed. As reported by ESPN, the Raptors star point guard, Lowry, will miss at least two weeks because a fracture the distal phalanx his left thumb.
Lowry suffered the injury during Toronto’s 122-104 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday night. The Raptors also lost Serge Ibaka to an injury on Friday. He sprained his right ankle and will be out indefinitely, the team stated. The Raptors are currently 6-2, which places them in second place behind the Celtics who are 6-1 right now. The defending champions took a hit when Kawhi left, and are not expected to return to the NBA finals this year. With Kyrie Irving in Brooklyn, Giannis Antetokounmpo in Milwaukee, and the 76ers seemingly getting their act together, the Raptors will have to play on an exceptional level to find their way back to the NBA finals.
Last week, Megan Thee Stallion and Trey Songz kicked it along with Jordyn Woods and any other unknown members their entourage. While the hang out sounds pretty normal, despite people commenting on the age gap between Trey, 34, and Megan, 24, there was one aspect the night that has sent fans both artists into quite a conversation on Twitter.
In the clip below, you can see the “Slow Motion” singer trying to get Megan to down another shot A.K.A “drive the boat.” Megan declines the drink while her surrounding friends continue to egg her on. The video ends with Megan’s face looking pretty annoyed by the number voices telling her to do one thing.
The online conversation is surrounded on consent and the duo’s age difference. “Trey Songz needs to keep his full grown ass away from Megan and Jordyn fr fr! Like ima need him to GET THE FUCK! ASAP!” one user wrote.
However, there’s an even greater amount online users who are calling out a double standard when it comes to the recent link-up. “Aye how old is Trey Songz? How old is Megan? Y’all would have a problem with it if the roles were reversed,” a user added.
Trey has been labelled a “creep” and “predator” by other fans who seemingly aren’t changing their minds on Trey’s choice partying. Peep more reactions below and let us know what you think.
This season, the Los Angeles Lakers are one the best teams in the league thanks to the presence one the most dynamic players to ever play the game, Alex Caruso. The team also has LeBron James and Anthony Davis but when you think about it, that’s just an added bonus. Caruso has captured the hearts Lakers fans everywhere thanks to some his spectacular highlight-reel plays and ability surprise his own teammates with his athleticism. In some ways, Caruso has been a bit a phenomenon and on Tuesday night, he pulled f another one his moves.
In the clip below, Caruso steals the ball f a Bulls players and puts up a layup which is then met with a hefty chest bump from LeBron James. After the game, Caruso had some jokes for LeBron as he commented on his weight and the velocity at which he celebrated.
“Bron’s gotta watch out,” Caruso said. “He doesn’t understand the physics that. He’s got 60 to 80 pounds on me. … But he gets hype, and I get hype and we just roll with it.”
All jokes aside, Caruso has been able to fit in nicely with this Lakers squad and is one their depth players who continues to receive some shine. The team is 6-1 right now and role players like Caruso have made some huge contributions to the Lakers’ first-place record.
Kawhi Leonard captured the NBA’s attention this summer when he took forever to make his decision as to which team he was signing with. In the end, Leonard chose the Los Angeles Clippers and thanks to his presence, they are looking like an early favorite to win the championship. Despite some load management here and there, the Clippers have been flying and are out to a 5-2 start.
Last night, the Clippers picked up their fifth win the season against the always-formidable Utah Jazz. One the biggest highlights to come from the game was when Leonard pulled the ball out an opposing players’ hands and stormed down the court for a quick dunk. In the video below, you can see the play in all its glory except this time, it’s in slow-motion.
With plays like this, you can see exactly why Clippers fans are so excited about this season. They haven’t had much to cheer about over the past few decades and when you have a player this dynamic, it’s hard not to think the championship is all but secured.
Fans on Twitter seemed to be pretty impressed by the play, even if there were some questions about traveling. Regardless, Leonard’s presence has already been felt in L.A.
The Cleveland Browns fell to 2-6 on the season following Sunday’s 24-19 loss to the Denver Broncos, and quarterback Baker Mayfield could not have looked more defeated as he took the podium for his post-game press conference. The Browns will return to the Dawg Pound for their Week 10 matchup against the 6-2 Buffalo Bills.
LeBron James has had to answer his fair share questions over the years but perhaps none were more bizarre than the one he was asked on Friday prior to the team’s game against the Dallas Mavericks. If you’re an NBA fan, then you know that the Mavs are a dangerous team because the talents Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis. As you can imagine, LeBron was asked a question about Doncic although it was the phrasing it all that was surprising.
The reporter delivered his question with a voice that sounded as though he was straight out a movie from the 1920s. From there, he referred to Doncic’s moves as “razzmataz hop skiddily-doo” which drew some laughs from the other reporters in the scrum. LeBron seemed to handle it with grace and came back with some “razzmataz hop skiddily-doo” his own.
Fans who saw the clip on Twitter seemed to be quite confused by what they were witnessing and in all honesty, so was LeBron. Despite this, he answered the question as if it was completely normal so salute to him. Sometimes, it can be easy to lose control due to a fit uncontrollable laughter and he avoided it with poise.
Keegan-Michael Key has come back on the radar since his recent role as narrator for Netflix’s upcoming Dr. Seuss Green Eggs and Ham series. Ellen DeGeneres is the executive producer the show so it only made sense for her to invite Keegan on her show in anticipation the release. His first spot-on impersonation was former President Barack Obama that the audience applauded at in approval. “Say, what a lot fish there are,” he read, in his best Obama voice. “Yeah, some are red. And some are blue. Some are old and some are new.”
His second impersonation was Modern Family actress Sia Vergara. “OK, Jay,” he began, pulling inspiration from her on-screen character Gloria. “I do not like green eggs and ham. I do not like them, Sam I Am!”

The Phoenix Suns got f on the right foot this season, picking up a dominant 124-95 victory over the Sacramento Kings in their home-opener. Second-year center Deandre Ayton was particularly solid, posting a double-double with 18 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks in 33 minutes action.
But because the Suns can’t have nice things, Ayton has been suspended for 25 games. The NBA announced on Thursday night that Ayton tested positive for a diuretic, which is commonly used as masking agent to hide the use PEDs.
Ayton issued the following statement regarding the suspension:
“I want to apologize to my family, the entire Suns organization, my teammates, partners, our fans and the Phoenix community,” Ayton said in a statement, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. “This was an unintentional mistake and unfortunately I put something in my body that I was completely unaware . I do understand the unfortunate impact that this has on so many others, and for that I am deeply sorry. I’m extremely disappointed that I’ve let my team down. I will continue to work with the NBPA to go through arbitration and am hopeful a positive resolution.”
Selected No. 1 overall by the Suns in the 2018 NBA Draft, Ayton averaged 16.3 points and 10.3 rebounds in 70 games last season. In his absence, former Boston Celtics big man Aron Baynes will be thrust into the starting lineup.
The Suns will visit the Denver Nuggets on Friday night, followed by a pair home games against the Los Angeles Clippers and Utah Jazz.
Three months after the release of Revenge of the Dreamers III, Dreamville delivers a visual for one of the album’s standouts, “Down Bad,” starring J. Cole and Bas, along with ATL’s own J.I.D, Young Nudy, and EarthGang.
The clip shines a spotlight on the southern city as Bas and his labelmates ride through the streets in an old school whip, later meeting up with Cole on the tarmac. They showcase their city atop the Atlanta Olympic Cauldron Tower before taking off in a private jet.
“Down Bad” was one of the first songs to be released from the gold-certified compilation, Revenge of the Dreamers III, which arrived in July. The album also includes appearances from Ari Lennox, Cozz, Kendrick Lamar, T.I., Dreezy, and Smino.
Stephen A. Smith is paid a pretty penny for his various predictions on things pertaining to the world sports. Most Smith’s work can be viewed on weekdays when he sits across from Max Kellerman on the show, First Take. Earlier in the NFL Season, the New Orleans Saints lost Drew Brees to a thumb injury and the team’s outlook was pretty bleak. With Teddy Bridgewater taking over at QB, not many people were giving the team a chance to win much anything.
Smith was among those saying the Saints season was over although, over the course the last few weeks, his prediction has been rendered foolish. The Saints are 5-0 with Bridgewater as their starter and lead the NFC South with a record 6-1. Yesterday, the Saints took to Twitter with a clip Smith giving his opinion, which was then followed up with laughter thanks to The Office‘s, Michael Scott.
Saints fans are feeling pretty good about themselves right now as they have a great chance to make some noise in the playfs once Brees comes back. It remains to be seen if the team can continue their momentum but for now, so far, so good.
We’re sure Stephen A. feels pretty bad for doubting the Saints right about now.
Lady Gaga is out in Las Vegas doing the residency thing these days but unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned last night. Lady Gaga had a fan on stage who she began to dance with. However, she underestimated the homeboy’s strength when she climbed him like a jungle gym and tried to straddle him with her legs. The two had a literal second where she celebrated her Cirque-Du-Soleil type flex before the fan couldn’t stand anymore and ultimately tumbled f stage, bringing Lady Gaga down with him.
Anthony Davis hasn’t played a single regular-season game in Los Angeles but he is already making a huge impression. AD and LeBron James are the league’s brand new dynamic duo and Lakers fans are excited to see what they’ll be able to do this season. There will certainly be a bit a buffer period for both stars but so far, they look comfortable and seem to already have mid-season chemistry. Having said all that, things took a turn on Saturday after Davis suffered a minor right thumb injury against the Brooklyn Nets.
The injury happened while Davis was going for a block in the first quarter. After being taken out the game, he was tested for ligament damage and the results came back negative. Today, Davis will receive an MRI to get the full extent what’s wrong with his thumb, according to Mark Medina.
The Lakers will be starting their season on October 22nd against the Los Angeles Clippers and as right now, it is believed Davis should be good to go. If not, that game will become a whole lot harder as Kawhi Leonard and company looks to feast on their cross-town rivals.
Stay tuned for updates as we will bring you the latest on AD’s condition.
It’s been two weeks since Saturday Night Live celebrated the premiere its 45th season, and Pete Davidson has still not made his debut on the show. The comedian is busy filming James Gunn’s upcoming Suicide Squad film and fans are missing him. “Weekend Update” co-hosts Colin Jost and Michael Che chose to poke fun at Davidson’s absence last night.
“A man who drove his car to a music festival still cannot remember where he parked his car a week after the show,” Jost says at the 1:15 mark the segment. “Well, we hope you make it back soon, Pete.” Check out the clip below.
Later, “Supercentenarian Mort Fellner,” appears as a guest for the segment, but before he leaves, he turns to Jost to ask “Where is Pete?”
Earlier during the “Weekend Update,” Jost pokes fun at R. Kelly saying, “Lawyers for R. Kelly, who’s being held without bail, are complaining that the singer is only allowed to visit with one his girlfriends at a time,” before delivering the punchline, “worse, visiting hours conflict with the schedule their middle school.”
Perhaps, fans will see Davidson during next week’s episode when David Harbour hosts and Camila Cabello performs.
