For a while, Lil Baby teased that his sophomore album, titled My Turn, would be arriving before the end 2019. In an interview with Hip-Hop-N-More in October, he said: “I’m working on an album coming later this year. You’re going to have to wait and see. I had a big year already though. I won my first award for Best New Artist at the BET Awards and hit over 9 billion streams worldwide.”
Despite these notable achievements, the Atlanta rapper explained on Instagram Live that the title symbolizes that his big moment has yet to come. “I called it My Turn ’cause I feel like everybody else had a lil’ turn. It’s my turn now. Everybody dropped their mixtapes, their albums – go number 1, number 2, number 3.” During this live session, he also detailed that the project will consist approximately fifteen songs and include features from Young Thug, DaBaby, Gunna and Moneybagg Yo. While he didn’t mentioned Future‘s name, the collaboration they released in June, “Out The Mud”, is said to be My Turn‘s first single.
“Woah”, which dropped last month, apparently serves as its second single. Lil Baby made a Triller account under @myturn2020 when he shared the song, informally announcing that the album had gotten pushed back to next year. While this change plans may be slightly disappointing, he’s making it up to his fans by providing them with both an album AND a mixtape, likely in the not-too-distant future. Lil Baby took to Twitter today to spread this news, announcing My Turn as the ficial title the album and Lamborghini Boys as the ficial title the tape.
Kevin Hart celebrated another decade life in July when he turned 40 years old. Hart stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote his new movie Jumanji: The Next Level, and he also spoke about recovering from his car crash. Kimmel asked Hart about his ability to make love to his wife, to which Kevin responded with a hilarious story. “You don’t have any movement,” Kevin explained. “Literally, I couldn’t do anything… I was in the hospital for nine days and we got out, and I was laying in the bed, and one day I just got happy.”
Hart also explained to Kimmel why he had such an extravagant 40th birthday party. The talk show host reveals footage their last interview, where Hart claimed he hated to party and wanted to have a quiet night at home. Then he fast forwards to an Instagram post Hart extremely drunk having an enormous party. “All your friends, everybody starts talking, like ‘man it’s your 40th, you can’t just not do nothing.'” That escalated to Hart renting out the whole TAO nightclub in Los Angeles for the day and night. “I left my party at 12.15 PM,” Hart admits. “This isn’t BS, man. I am being honest. It felt like someone was pushing me,” he joked, even though he was standing alone. The comedian then chronicles how he threw up in his car and decided to walk his dogs while he was wasted. Check out the full interview below.
DaBaby has been given enough reason this year to believe he’s one the best rappers out there. While he ten boasts that he is in his songs, he tends to be humble whenever discussing his immense success in other contexts. Exuding extreme confidence on your tracks is just part the game. Otherwise, the numbers are supposed to speak for you. Based on his latest album, KIRK, going #1 and his streaming stats, it’s clear that DaBaby is winning. However, Busta Rhymes insisted on pointing out to DaBaby just how ferocious his run is right now.
Bussa Bus caught one the Charlotte rapper’s recent shows and went to go meet him backstage afterwards. Their interaction was recorded and it shows Buss gassing up DaBaby for instilling fear in other rappers competing with him. “Let me tell you something. N****s is scared you,” he said. After DaBaby doubted the truth this claim, Busta continued. “Nah, nah, nah. I be in n****s studio sessions. I hear how n****s talk… You know what I love to see? When a n**** bust his ass on that stage with that stage production value and that energy – n****s don’t wanna come behind you.”
With the streets filled with SantaCon participants, Gucci strolled by his fellow Santas. Fans shouted at him on the street while some onlookers were caught off guard by his presence.
At one point, Gucci posed for the videographer, just long enough to flex his huge diamond watch.
Guwop’s persona has taken on a life of its own since debuting on the 2014 mixtape East Atlanta Santa. Since then, Gucci has released two more projects with the moniker: East Atlanta Santa 2: The Night Guwop Stole X-Mas and The Return of East Atlanta Santa.
Gucci recently released his 15th album Woptober II in October. He also began a partnership with his namesake, the Gucci brand, with a campaign and commercial for the Gucci Cruise collection.
Ja Rule has found more humor in the Fyre Festival situation on his new single “For Your Real Entertainment.”
Rule sampled the Slick Rick and Doug E. Fresh classic “The Show” on the biting track, explaining his side of the story. He notably showed little remorse for the festivalgoers.
“The fest — the festival is on fire/We don’t need no water, make that motherfucker hotter/Hotter than the sun, but it wasn’t that/Show of hands if you got your money back/Just playing, I got sued for that/100 mil to be exact,” he raps.
Rule even took a swipe at the event producer Andy King’s infamous admission from the Netflix documentary FYRE.
“Andy King, you’re on, what the fuck is going?/You about to give this man fellatio for some An/Come on, that’s way beyond the job description/That’s an addiction to sucking dick isn’t it, admit it,” Ja raps.
He also pleaded his innocence in the whole scandal while making a slave reference at the end.
“In the people’s court, baby, they’ll hang ya like their ancestors/Full sabotage, it ain’t fraud,” he raps.
The track premiered a few weeks after the veteran rapper was cleared of all charges in a $100 million lawsuit filed by festivalgoers.
Indianapolis Colts head coach Frank Reich has high praise for Ravens QB Lamar Jackson. Reich is so much a fan, he believes Jackson is deserving the MVP award this season.
When asked about the importance mobility for Quarterbacks on Sunday, Reich said, “I think that those traits that I just talked about – you look at a guy like Lamar Jackson. Here is the MVP the league, I mean there is no question about that in my mind,” according to USAToday. “He has elite physical traits that nobody else has at that level and yet he still has all the other stuff.”
Reich then moved the topic towards his team’s current opponent, Drew Brees: “Jackson’s] a unique player, but so is Drew Brees. That is what is kind cool about this game, that you can tailor your fense around those two different kind guys.”
Jackson has been having a historic season. He’s broken Michael Vick’s record for most rushing yards in a season by a quarterback and has a 33-6 touchdown to interception ratio with a 112.6 passer rating on top on it.
The Ravens beat the Jets on Thursday 42-21.
The Colts play on Monday night against the Saints.
In the wake comments made by Arsenal player Mesut Özil, China’s Chinese Central Television (CCTV) has pulled the Arsenal-Manchester City game from airing, according to ESPN.
Earlier this week, Özil posted a lengthy statement on Instagram which reads, “East Turkistan, the bleeding wound the Ummah, resisting against the persecutors trying to separate them from their religion. They burn their Qurans. They shut down their mosques. They ban their schools. They kill their holy men. The men are forced into camps and their families are forced to live with Chinese men. The women are forced to marry Chinese men. But Muslims are silent. They won’t make a noise. They have abandoned them. Don’t they know that giving consent for persecution is persecution itself?”
Arsenal has not supported Özil, instead, saying, “The content he expressed is entirely Özil’s personal opinion,” early Saturday. “As a football club, Arsenal always adheres to the principle not being involved in politics.”
The situation is similar to Daryl Morey and the NBA. Morey criticized China in a series tweets in October and hurt the NBA’s relationship with the country.
The television show South Park was also banned from China after criticizing the incident shortly after.
Philadelphia, PA – Meek Mill voiced his frustration and disappointment after learning an armed robbery occurred at the Milano Di Rouge clothing store in Philadelphia. The Dreamchasers founder slammed the robbers Instagram on Saturday (December 14), taking particular issue with them going after a black-owned business.

As you might expect from a sneaker bearing the “Animal Instinct” nickname, the upcoming Air Jordan 3 SE features a furry, black-based colorway, highlighted by a range animal prints including a leopard-printed toe cap and ankle collar, zebra-striped heel counter and tiger-inspired detailing around the eyelets. Additional details include a gum outsole and a matching heel tab, along with a red Jumpman on the tongue and “Instinct” text on the inside the tongue.
Rumors suggest that there’s another animal-printed Air Jordan 3 in the works as part a larger “Animal Pack,” but Jordan Brand has not yet confirmed any additional releases. Check out the on-foot photos below, courtesy Titolo.
Sunday afternoon, Taylor Swift announced through her Instagram that she will be headlining Glastonbury 2020.
Alongside a selfie with a flyer for the event, Swift writes, “I’m ecstatic to tell you that I’ll be headlining Glastonbury on its 50th anniversary – See you there! 💋.”
It’s one a select number shows Swift has scheduled for the upcoming year. Currently, she has only four other US shows planned, two in Massachusetts and two in Los Angeles.
Earlier this week, according to Stereogum, Swift accepted the Billboard Woman the Decade award and called out Scooter Braun during her speech. “After I was denied the chance to purchase my music outright, my entire catalog was sold to Scooter Braun’s Ithaca Holdings in a deal that I’m told was funded by the Soros family, 23 Capital, and the Carlyle Group,” she said.
She continued, “the definition the toxic male privilege in this industry is people saying ‘but he’s always been nice to me’ when I’m raising valid concerns about artists and their right to own their music” in reference to Braun. “And course he’s nice to you,” she said. “If you’re in this room, you have something he needs.”
Glastonbury 2020 is scheduled for June 24th through June 28th, 2020.
The blessings keep coming to Summer Walker in 2019 and she deserves it all. She released a fantastic debut album, Over It, and has been putting detractors in their place left and right. Therefore, we had no choice but to stan. If you’ve checked out some our year-end recap lists, you’d see that we’ve definitely been stanning Summer. She qualified for our “Top 10 Breakout Artists” roundup and appeared quite high in the rankings our “Top 15 Hottest R&B Albums“.
We’re not the only ones recognizing her achievements. Last night (Dec. 14), the R&B songstress was surprised by her boyfriend, London On Da Track, and her record label, LVRN (LoveRenaissance), with a Mercedes G Wagon. She seemed taken aback as she checked out her luxurious gift, which even came with the red leather interior that she wanted. “I feel so awkward,” she said as she sat in her new whip for the first time. While it may have been hard to express sufficient gratitude for such a gift in the moment, Walker later wrote on her Instagram story that “the worst day turned into the best day.” This post makes more sense with the added context someone commenting in one the videos, “Bitch, you ain’t sick no more, huh?”
Jordan Brand’s 2019 lineup featured an exhausting amount Air Jordan retros, as is tradition. The year was highlighted by the 30th anniversary Michael Jordan‘s fourth signature sneaker – the Air Jordan 4 – which returned in several different colorways including two the most beloved styles.
On top that, Jordan Brand brought back numerous all-time classics, plenty never before seen colorways, and introduced a collab that deserves to be mentioned in the “sneaker the year” conversation. There are surely more than 10 Air Jordans from the past 12 months that deserve to be on this year-end list, but I digress.
The iconic “Black Infrared” Air Jordan 6 that Michael Jordan wore during his first NBA title run made it’s always-welcomed return to retailers on February 16, 2019 as part Nike’s annual All-Star game collection. The kicks, which were previously retro’d in 2014, came back to life in OG form this year, featuring the familiar smooth, black nubuck upper, infrared detailing, a full-length Max Air unit in the sole, visible Air bubble in the heel and “Nike Air” logo on the heel.
As always, there were no shortage Air Jordan 1 releases this year. The iconic silhouette is a fan favorite regardless the colorway, but there was something particularly special about the “Turbo Green” pair that dropped in honor Charlotte hosting its first NBA All Star game.
The special edition 1s, which nod to the ’90s and the Charlotte Hornets, feature a suede and leather construction highlighted by that vintage-looking turbo green color as well as purple and gold detailing on the tongue’s “Nike Air” branding.
This sneaker could release every single year, and every single year it would be among the best releases that year. The latest iteration the “Bred” Air Jordan 4 arrived in May, and it looked just as sweet as it did when it originally launched 30 years ago.
Returning in OG form, the iconic 4s were built on a black nubuck, supported by the familiar grey and red detailing along with the aesthetically pleasing “Nike Air” branding on the heel for the first time since 1999.
The Air Jordan 10 “Seattle” finally returned to retailers in 2019 for the first time since it originally released as part the “City Series” way back in 1995.
The original Air Jordan 10 “City Series” released while Michael Jordan was away from the game, which is when Jordan Brand picked a handful NBA stars, such as the Sonics’ Kendall Gill, to debut several different Air Jordan 10 PEs on the court. The collection consisted the Seattle Supersonics colorway, as well as iterations for the Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, Orlando Magic and Sacramento Kings. The Chicago and Orlando desgins have been retro’d since the initial release – but the white, green and black “Seattle” colorway had never resurfaced until this year.
2019 marked the 23rd anniversary Ray Allen’s draft class, which presented Jordan Brand the perfect opportunity to release a special edition colorway that combined two Ray’s classic “Milwaukee Bucks” Air Jordan 7 PEs. I may be in the minority on this one, but the Air Jordan 7 is a favorite mine and this particular color scheme just isn’t one you typically see on an Air Jordan. Add in the cool story behind the design and it makes the list as one my top picks the year.
Travis Scott and Jordan Brand teamed up for several different sneaker collabs this year, but none was more polarizing than the “Cactus Jack” Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG. All told, this may have been the sneaker the year. Sure, the low-top version was cool, too – but it doesn’t really come close to the AJ1 High.
Nike brought back several iconic “Doernbecher” sneaker collabs this years in celebration 15 years the Doernbecher Freestyle Collection. Among them, the navy suede Air Jordan 6 which very well could be the best DB x Air Jordan collab all-time.
The kicks, originally created by Jordan Dark in 2009, feature a number special details include two significant dates his battle against cancer – “06/08” for his first day chemo, and 04/09 representing his last. The midnight navy and varsity red colorway serves as a nod to Dark’s high school’s colors, while the outsole introduced the first ever all-translucent outsole on the AJ6 silhouette.
This past year marked the 30th anniversary the Air Jordan 4, which resulted in a plethora AJ4 retros including some the all-time classics. That included the the aforementioned “Bred” colorway, as well as the can’t miss “Cool Grey” design.
The classic 4s are built on a suede, cool grey upper accompanied by a white midsole, and a black outsole – looking just as they did when they debuted in 2004. Additional details include a white Jumpman logo on the tongue and chrome Jumpman logos on the heel tabs, with splashes yellow appearing on the tongue, outsole and visible air unit in the heel.
Jordan Brand designer Tate Kuerbis has described the Air Jordan 34 as the “purest form a basketball shoe,” and the sneakers are easily among my favorites to hoop in. On top that, the AJ34 also has lifestyle appeal as an extremely comfortable sneaker you can wear on the daily, making this one my top picks 2019.
Billed as one the lightest basketball shoes ever created by Jordan Brand (size 9 weighs just 13.1 oz), the AJ34 is highlighted by the following features:
An Eclipse Plate, formed by two Pebax pieces, which helps reduce the overall stiffness and strips down the weight
A forefoot Zoom Air unit, with herringbone traction pattern – providing optimal explosion f the foot
Limited Upper – heel counter, tongue, eyestay and midfoot reinforcer – showcasing the purest form a basketball shoe
The number 23 is featured in Morse code on the vamp
Each pair has a unique logo on the heel – this “Bred” iteration utilizes the classic “Nike Air” in red
A sneaker that needs no introduction – but I’ll do the deed anyway.
This December marked the first time the Bred 11s hit retailers since they were retro’d in 2012, and they look sweeter than ever before with an OG design that mimics the 1996 edition. Black ballistic mesh upper, a luxuriously glossy black patent leather overlay and some red bottoms. What’s not to love?
As you could surmise from this title, Jenner takes her truck – which is usually reserved for distribution her makeup and skin products – to the San Fernando shelter to give out meals and gifts. Her and her mother, Kris Jenner, handed out Health Nut sandwiches from the truck before heading inside to interact with the kids and spread some more holiday cheer.
After this, Kylie went home to her own kid, Stormi, who was ecstatic see her mother return. While we get glimpses Stormi’s growth on Instagram, this vlog shows just how talkative and stable on her feet the 1-year-old is now. Stormi runs to greet her mother at the door before showing her the drawings she did in her absence. Kylie then takes her and Travis Scott‘s daughter along as she displays all the elaborate Christmas decorations scattered across her Calabasas mansion. She may have one too many Santa statues.
Kazakhstan-based bodybuilder Yuri Tolochko and his doll girlfriend Margo are set to get married. As reported by New York Post, after 8 months dating, Tolochko decided to propose to Margo. Tolochko manages an Instagram page for her where he chronicles their comings and goings, which had gained worldwide attention. He claims to have met Margo while she was working a waitressing position at a local bar, creating a cool backstory for his lover. Although she “worked” in hospitality, “Margo doesn’t know how to cook,” admitted Tolochko. She does love to eat though. “She] loves Georgian cuisine. Her favorite dish is ‘khinkali’ dumplings],” he continued.
“She began to develop a complex,” declared Tolochko. “When I presented her photo to the world, there was a lot criticism and she began to develop a complex, so we decided to have plastic surgery.” Tolochko seems to be enjoying the tale he has created, committing himself fully to the fantasy. He claims he took Margo to a plastic surgeon. “She has changed a lot,” he says. “At first it was hard to accept, but I got used to it later on. It was at a real clinic with real doctors.” The wedding date has yet to be announced.
It was all good just a week ago. Tory Lanez dropped f his Chixtape 5album last month which was met with thunderous approval. The nostalgic project crept up to the number two spot on Billboard 200, which was the highest debut for a studio album for Lanez. It appeared as if everything was going very well for Lanez up until Saturday evening (December 14). The Canadian rapper and singer took to Instagram to release a scathing warning to Interscope Records. “If y’all don’t stop playing w/ me..Ima expose what’s really going on in that f*cking building,” declared Lanez. It has yet to be discerned what sparked his sudden anger with the label.
One fan commented on the post, “chill bro I ain’t tryna see you get killed,” to which Lanez responded, “that’s the difference …. I don’t care . My integrity respect and the path light that i can show the generation after me is more impotant than this life that niggas is so scared to lose.” Rich the Kid, who also has a home at Interscope Records, commented on the post, stating, “I’m tellin ya 🤦🏽♂️.” Hopefully, everything works out between Lanez and Interscope and his life is not really in danger.
