Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V is still at the top our minds but the rapper’s forthcoming festival might put his recording plans on hold for the weekend. For the fourth year in a row, Lil Wayne will host his annual festival in his hometown New Orleans. This festival will be even more special this year because 2018 marks 10 years since the release his album, Tha Carter III. He’s already announced some the openers but it looks like he had one more rapper he had to tap to bless the stage.
Lil Wayne announced that Jeezy will be touching the stage at Lil Weezyana Festival this year. The rapper already tapped Tory Lanez and Youngboy Never Broke Again will also be performing at the festival. For anyone who won’t be able to physically attend, you could still check out the festivities online. TIDAL will be exclusively livestreaming tomorrow’s festivities.
After announcing Jeezy as a newly added special guest, the rapper shared a trailer for the festival which revealed that it will be a celebration to commemorate the release Tha Carter III. This year, Lil Wayne’s Lil WeezyAna Fest will double as a commemoration the 10th anniversary the rapper’s Tha Carter III album. With that in mind, there’s no telling just what the veteran emcee has up his sleeve as past guests on a lineup all-stars have included Drake, 2 Chainz, Gucci Mane, Jadakiss, Rich The Kid, and more.

Earlier in the summer, TIDAL also exclusively livestreamed Lil Wayne’s performance at the HOT 97 25th annual Summer Jam. It, course, isn’t the first time the TIDAL artist-owner has linked up with the global music streaming platform. The two parties previously collaborated on the TIDAL X: ColleGrove livestream, the exclusive premiere the FWA album, and Weezy’s Social Wave For Change initiative.
This marks only the latest in TIDAL’s effort as an authority in the livestreaming arena, as it’s been the source through which fans at home have viewed some the biggest evens in recent years, including Philadelphia’s Made In America Festival, Rihanna’s Fenty X Puma Paris Fashion Week show, as well as performances from artists that include Beyoncé, Chris Brown, Ty Dolla $ign, Yo Gotti, Alicia Keys, Nicki Minaj, Lil Uzi Vert and more.
