Migos have made a habit out ruffling feathers, particularly when they stave into the “-all-time” discussion category. It wasn’t long ago that Offset dubbed Migos the “Biggest Group Ever,” which elicited a respectful yet firm response from Turk the Hot Boys: “For a n***a to say they the best group ever, not the best group right now doin’ they thing, but the best group ever?” says Turk, “man that’s some disrespectful-ass, foul-ass shit, you dig? I wouldn’t be right, me being in a group that was big, that n***as emulate to this day – including the Migos…The Migos the new Hot Boys, they doin’ they thing.”

And then there were Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, who took umbrage with Migos’ perceived disrespect toward their elders. At the time, Layzie Bone elaborated on his position, saying “it’s like the young guys versus the old guys, but really, that’s not what it’s about. It’s about payin’ homage to the bricklayers. To the ones that came before us.” And yet, Migos remained unmoved, and dare I say, unwavering in their assessment. Now, Offset is back to stake his claim once again, this time having a laugh at the inevitable fallout.
“BEST GROUP ALIVE DONT @ Me lol,” he writes, alongside a picture himself, Quavo, and Takef. Off the bat, YG and Quality Control endorsed the claim, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see some groups catch feelings as a result. Of course, it’s entirely possible that Offset knows exactly what he’s doing, and is simply looking to garner attention for Control The Streets Volume 2. Either way, it’s an interesting discussion – is Migos currently the Best Group Alive?
With this in mind, fans have been trying to get new looks at the shoe for a while now and recently, OffsetMigos came through as he was seen wearing the shoes during a performance. As you can see from the post below, they look pretty great on-feet, although you can clearly see the glossy leather that has fans so divided.
If you want to cop these, you’re probably going to have to wait a while as according to @zsneakerheadz, they’re only slated to drop on October 26th for $160 USD. Stay tuned for updates on these kicks as we will be sure to bring you all the latest informaton.
Just like he did last year with the Range Rover, Quavo is back again gifting his mother a brand new vehicle for her birthday. On Tuesday, the Migos frontman took to his IG page to show f the brand new all white Jeep Rubicon he purchased for her today.
The IG clip shows Quavo’s mother singing along to “Happy Birthday” by Stevie Wonder as she stood out the sunro, while a red bow is tied across the hood. Quavo left the caption, Mama Huncho… “Happy Bday I love You / Til Death My Bestfriend/ U Are the Founder/ No 530 NO Gang I Always Will Reward You For Your Greatness !!!/ Your Only SON!!!! Quavo.”
In addition to Quavo, his nephew TakeOff also sent out a b-day shout out to Mama Huncho on IG today as well. He shared an old throwback pic her, while leaving a heartfelt caption that read: “Today Is A Special Day & I Need Everyone Who Been Wit Me Since Dia Uno To Go Wish My Nana Aka Mama E Aka Mama Huncho @beautyisme_boo A Happy Birthday.” See that post (below).
We’ve all had those moments with friends, where someone does something so ridiculously hilarious, you all burst out into a long-winded fit laughter, complete with a few guffaws, a couple silent heaving laughs, and a lot knee-slapping and running around. This was the exact case for the Migos, who took to Instagram to share quite the side-splitting video them and a group friends, up to some shenanigans in what looks like a tour bus in Portugal.
The trio were in Portugal for their headlining performance in Super Bock Super Rock 2019. In the clip, which was shared by Quavo on his Instagram, we see a bus full the Migos and their posse, with Quavo climbing atop the steel bars to show what looks like some sort stripping move. As he does so, one his uhm, larger friends, who’s been identified simply as “Stoney” in the comment section, attempts to do the same. His overly ambitious attempt leaves his legs flailing around as he tries to rap them around the pole, and as he does so his hands seemingly slip, and he is dropped onto his tailbone as the whole bus erupts into a fit laughter. Quavo can be seen falling to the ground uncontrollably as he clutches a laughing Offet for support. Everyone can be seen in a combination laughter, tears, slapping one another, while all the while filming the whole affair. Check the video below out for a different angle.

Joe Budden is, quite literally, a man who wears many hats. Rapper. Reality star. Podcaster. Interviewer. Hat connoisseur. The list goes on, and as a result, Budden has amassed quite a loyal following throughout this latest stage his career. Fans his podcast likely remember some his greatest hits, including his infectious rendition Tyga‘s “Taste” instrumental, but some his most memorable material arose during his year-long stint as a host on Everyday Struggle. While brief, his tenure led to an amusing bromance with Akademiks, which made for some truly entertaining exchanges. Now, with the 2019 BET Awards having recently transpired without a hitch, Joe Budden took a moment to reflect on one his greatest hits.
The infamous interview between the Everyday Struggle crew and the Migos will likely go down in history for a variety reasons. For one, it revealed the Migos‘ gangsta in the flash, standing in unison ready to square up – despite being dressed for a ball, not a brawl. It also found Akademiks and Takef engaged in the now-classic “DoItLookLikeIWasLeftOffBadAndBoujee” exchange, which ultimately served as a catalyst for the tension. Of course, Joe didn’t help matters when he decided to storm f, frustrated by Migos’ perceived disinterest in the process.
These days, Joe is able to see the humor in the debacle, understanding it for what it was and has since become – an iconic moment in modern media history. “The awards were great but you mean to tell me all them interviews on the carpet & y’all let them all end peacefully ?!?” he writes, alongside an image from that fateful night. “Lmao.” While not quite “Put Some Respect On My Name,” the Budden/Migos animosity would spawn no shortage mild hilarity, including the chorus “Ice Tray The Gang.” Salute to Jumpf Joey for delivering one for the books.
Danger! After dropping a series of solo projects, Migos reunites on their new slapper “Stripper Bowl.”
Offset, Quavo, and Takeoff turn the strip club into the Super Bowl on the Buddah Bless production. “Brand new whips out for the Super Bowl / 500 racks for the Stripper Bowl / The money on the floor, better get it, ho,” raps Huncho, who also provides the hook: “Lil’ ni**a don’t know it get dangerous.”
The trio will perform at this weekend’s BET Experience on Saturday and BET Awards on Sunday. They are also cooking up the long-awaited Culture III, which is due in early 2020.
“MIGO GANG TIME !!!!!!!! New chapters otw,” Offset tweeted earlier this month.
Nasir Jones continues to make power moves as the New York rapper recently announced that he’s penned a children’s book. He shared an image the book’s cover on his Instagram page and wrote, “Welcome to #MAJR #KIDS —- a new kids line presented by Mass Appeal. Education starts at the crib.” MAJR shared on their website that the forthcoming book, titled I Know I Can, is geared toward “empowering kids to be whatever they want to be when they grow up.”
“Our mission is to inspire future generations through the creation unique toys, apparel, and innovative learning tools,” MAJR writes about their comapny on their website. “Major is here to reflect the diverse hues both the modern family and popular culture, because education starts in the crib.”
In a statement, Nassaid, “I’ve always understood the limitless power young people, and being a father has brought it even closer to home. We’re introducing MAJR to prepare today’s youth for tomorrow’s world. Our goal is to help children all backgrounds fully realize their potential by tapping into their creativity in new and innovative ways.”
There’s no word quite yet on when I Know I Can will hit bookstores, but hopefully, it will become available when Nas and Mary J. Blige kick f their tour on Jul 11.
On Thursday, reports surfaced that DJ Khaled was a tad hot under his collar because his star-studded, heavily-promoted release Father Asahd didn’t make it to the number one spot on the charts. Instead, Tyler The Creator’s multi-dimensional album IGOR snagged the top spot while Khaled’s record followed at number 2. Rumors spread that the super-producer stormed into Epic Records fices and had a “temper tantrum,” as he spewed hate for Tyler’s hit record.
According to The Blast, Khaled never had a problem with Tyler, contrary to reports that he’s been shading the artist; it was Billboard who made him upset. They claim that Billboard “disqualified” 100,000 downloads because they weren’t approved, something that Khaled wasn’t told until after chart week. Initially, they reportedly were approved, but when he was alerted the change, it was too late.

A bundle deal was fered with the downloads in an effort to drive sales. Father Asahd was bundled with nutritional supplements, a promotion that Billboard approved. With each purchase, customers were able to receive a digital download the record. Although it’s unorthodox, the download still counted as a record sale…until Billboard said no.
Khaled wasn’t the only one bundling his way to the top, as Tyler used the method for IGOR, as well. He fered digital downloads the album with purchases shirts and posters. The Blastreports that issues arose when Billboard stated they didn’t “approve the copy” Khaled’s promotion. So, while they did approve that he could use supplements to bundle, they weren’t made aware the final fer. If Khaled’s bundles would have been counted, he reportedly would have had a number one record on his hands.
It’s also reported that while Khaled did have an impassioned conversation with record executives, there was no temper tantrum thrown.
Former NBA center Kendrick Perkins recently made an appearance on FS1’s “Fair Game” with Kristine Leahy, where he discussed a variety topics, ranging from his love for NBC’s “The Voice,” to his beef with Quavo and the time Kobe Bryant threw a punch at him.
“I almost got into it with Quavo cause he tried to put me on the song cause him and Drake real close. He tried like diss me, he tried to say something like, he was talking about getting a girl’s number, and he was like ‘no playing time, Kendrick Perkins.’
So I was like uh, no…and you need to stick to staying with the Migos and not going solo. I kinda wanted to fire back because his album flopped anyway, I mean it was trash. I was just like why is these little dudes coming after me?”
As for his scuffle with Kobe all those years ago, Perkins says he told the Lakers legend, “This is a problem you really don’t want.”
Check out Perk’s thoughts about Quavo, the incident with Kobe and some other video clips from his appearance on “Fair Game” below.
Today, Quality Control CEO Pee took to Instagram to unveil the arrival Volume 2, albeit in the vaguest possible capacity. Borrowing one hip-hop’s favorite adages, which is to say “OTW,” Pee shared a few images to kick f a bit hype. Today, the QC brand has only strengthened. While some have been taking a small Migos break, City Girls and Lil Baby have been enjoying impressive runs, and will likely play a larger role in the upcoming project whenever it ultimately drops.
Look for more news on Control The Streets Vol 2 when it surfaces. Are you looking forward to another compilation from the label?
We’re halfway through 2019 and there have already been some record-breaking music moments that have gone down in history. As we approach the hot, summer months, artists are sure to crank out jams that they hope will be a staple throughout the remainder the year, but until then, Billboard‘s staff has compiled their “The 50 Best Songs 2019 (So Far)” list.
Making our way from 50 to number one, here are some noteworthy artists: Mustard and Migos‘ hit song “Pure Water” snagged the 40th spot on the list. Maxo Kream climbed three spots above them at #37 with his track “Meet Again.” Avant-garde artist Tierra Wack continues to shine and her single “Only Child” was placed at #33. DaBaby has certainly had a breakout year in 2019, and his single “Suge” sits at #29. Tyler The Creator’s “I Think” took #22, Kehlani and Ty Dolla $ign‘s “Nights Like This” made it to #14, 21 Savage’s “A Lot” was placed at #12, and Swae Lee and Post Malone‘s “Sunflower (Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse)” collaboration was one above at #11.

The Megan Thee Stallion takeover has been real throughout 2019 so it isn’t surprising that Billboard chose her single “Big Ole Freak” for #9. One the catchiest songs the year (so far) has been Blueface’s “Thotiana” which made it all the way up to #6 on the list. Ariana Grande‘s “7 Rings” was one above at #5. No one has seen a greater come up in 2019 more than Lil Nas X who, along with Billy Ray Cyrus, sits at the #3 spot with “Old Town Road (Remix).”
The top two spots? Number two was reserved for Billie Eilish’s “Bad Guy” while the #1 song 2019 (so far) according to Billboard belongs to the Jonas Brothers for “Sucker.” Check out the entire list here and let us know who your top picks are for the year.
Wrestling legend, Ric Flair, seems to be doing great after his recent $1.8 million surgery for his recent and “very serious” medical emergency. The Nature Boy released a video in which he thanked his friends, family, and fans for their support. “I want to first all apologize for not getting back to y’all sooner. Certainly appreciate all the support,” Flair began. “Thank you to my beautiful family, to all my friends, to all the doctors, nurses, everybody that brought me back again. It’s a miracle again. It’s a $1.8 million tune-up on the Nature Boy!” The success the surgery was a relief for all to hear, with fellow former wrestlers gratefully describing the icon as “immortal.”
The WWE Hall Famer went on to list some the friends that supported him during these turbulent times, including Triple H, Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin, as well as Migos rapper, Offset (over the years, Flair has become a staple pop culture as he was even the inspiration behind the Offset and Metro Boomin‘ song “Ric Flair Drip.”). Flair went on to explain that he still has many goals he hopes to achieve, and won’t yet give up on life. “I’m not going to act like my age,” Flair declared. “I’m up, I’m well, and I’m just starting to tell my story.”
Flair also noted that the procedure was done to implant a pacemaker, and despite his recent health scares, Flair is still pretty confident that he’ll be around for a while.”I feel great,” he said. “The prognosis is I could live to be 95.”
Lil Yachty may have expensive taste, but that does not stop him from indulging in the foods from his humble beginnings. According to XXL, the rapper attended a dinner for Quality Control CEO’s Pierre “Pee” Thomas. The dinner was scheduled to celebrate Thomas’s birthday and consisted a gourmet menu. The items included items such as chicken satay with peanut sauce, lobster wontons, miso-glazed sea bass, and wagyu–all which did not seem to appeal to Boat’s palate. The rapper shared a photo his Instagram the food, quoting: “Welp…I don’t do anything on this menu.”
As such, the artist chose to call onto the convenience Uber Eats to get something more fitting. Precisely, Yachty requested Uber Eats to deliver some good ol’ McDonalds. The next photo which featured on the musician’s Instagram was that a wrapped Hot N’ Spicy McChicken sandwich which suited Yachty much more than the original bougie dinner he was given. He made sure to thank Uber Eats for the service. And to note, Lil Yachty was not the only one skipping over the gourmet menu. The rapper later posted a video where he proclaimed that the Migos were attempting to share the McDonald’s sandwich. “They all eating it,” he laughed f.
Offset has reached a resolution in his phone smackdown case.
The Migos rapper won’t be charged for allegedly breaking a fan’s phone while shopping at a Target store, according to TMZ. Police in Sandy Springs, Ga. say the case has been closed by the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office.
Prosecutors decided not to pursue charges against Offset after the rapper and the fan, Junior Gibbons, reached a mutual agreement on their own. Gibbons previously said that he simply wanted Offset to pay for a new phone.
A felony arrest warrant was issued for Offset after Gibbons filed a police report. Gibbons filmed video of Offset smacking the device out of his hand and onto the floor, shattering the screen. “Get the f*** out of my face,” he reportedly said before knocking the phone out of Gibbons’ hand.
While he won’t go to court for the phone smackdown, Offset was previously charged with three counts following an incident in July 2018 where he was arrested for allegedly making an illegal lane change.
