Aretha Franklin Had No Will: Report

Many went into mourning when Aretha Franklin passed away last week. Although the singer is said to have been ill for a long time, no will was created before her death.

According to reports, court documents reflect that her material legacy will be passed along according to the law. She is survived by 4 children including her son Clarence who has special needs. The absence a will is especially surprising considering his financial needs and other forms support his condition will require for the rest his life.

The Michigan law dictates that her 4 children will divide her estate equally. There is no confirmation the reason why the will was left out her to-do list in the months leading up to her death.

Aretha Franklin died on August 16 at her Detroit home. She had suffered through a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

Entertainment industry pressionals have found ways to pay tribute to the queen. Some took to social media while others dedicated concerts to her. Last night, the VMAs prepared a homage to The Queen Of Soul as well. Madonna shared a kind  coming age story that described how Aretha Franklin changed her life.
