Much like Game Thrones, Stranger Things will be skipping 2018 this year and making fans wait another year for new episodes. The second season Netflix’s breakout hit Stranger Things premiered last October, but it will be a long wait before fans get another season. The Duffer Brothers are currently hard at work crafting the third season the series, which many viewers expected to drop later this year. Unfortunately, those viewers were wrong. EW was able to sit in on Netflix Programming Executive Cindy Holland’s speech during the Television Critics Association’s press tour in Beverly Hills on Sunday, and the studio exec revealed the launch date for the next season the show.
“It’s a handcrafted show,” Holland stated after explaining that it would be another year before we would see Stranger Things season three. “The Duffer Brothers and Shawn Levy, they understand the stakes are high. They want to deliver something bigger and better than last year. I think it’s going to be a fantastic season. It will be worth the wait.” Holland’s also noted that the show will feature more special effects than they have used in previous seasons. “It’s a really exciting season, just takes a little more time,” she stated. It looks like Summer 2019 is going to get strange.
At this point, it would be insanely difficult to outdo Will Smith climbing atop a bridge overseas to complete the most outrageous #InMyFeelingsChallenge but, for some reason, people are still trying. Stranger Things is one Netflix’s hottest shows, revolving around a group kids in the fictional town Hawkins, Indiana as they explore the “Upside Down.” The sci-fi series is currently hyping the next installment the show but two the main actors, Millie Bobby Brown and Noah Schnapp, decided to try their hand at the “In My Feelings” dance craze started by Shiggy.
They may be a little late considering we’ve already been gifted with the best participant, Will Smith, but we still had faith upon watching the video. Posting to her Instagram page, Millie Bobby Brown showed f her dancing skills with her co-star Noah as they pull f all the typical moves. In the end, they tear f their hoodies and laugh, either from embarrassment or just out pure outrageousness after jumping out the car to dance.
You’ll recall Drake and Millie posing together after revealing they’re both fans each other’s work. Drake has put on his best Eleven poses with the actor and Millie was one the original “Scorpion sightings” when promotion was still happening for the project. Their friendship clearly knows no bounds.
Maybe one the major twists next season will involve the Demogorgon doing the Shiggy in the “Upside Down.”
Millie Bobby Brown is the face Stranger Things. Her character Eleven has become a pop icon, a generational image. The 14-year-old actress has the maturity and poise someone twice her age, and audiences were simply captivated by her presence on Netflix’s most popular show. The streaming giant understands how important Brown is to their brand, and to the Stranger Things franchise as a whole, and so they’ve decided to give her the love and admiration she deserves. Along with Noah Schnapp, who is also integral to the success Stranger Things, Brown was given the center stage on Netflix’s Actor Spotlight.
The cast and creators Stranger Things got together on screen to talk about Brown’s depiction Eleven and her talents as a young actress who is able to capture the mysterious character so well. The Duffer brothers, who created the series, can barely contain their praise for Brown, stating, “Millie has these incredible instincts, I don’t know where they come from, but let’s just let this happen and stay out her way.” They also praise Noah Schnapp for his portrayal Will Byers, highlighting his skill and work ethic. “Oh my God, he’s my favorite,” exclaims Brown.
