Goodbye & Good Riddance was a solid project, giving people a taste what we can expect from the Chicagoan in his career. While we’ve witnessed the introduction a few stars this year, we’ve also been forced to say goodbye to some. Most recently, Mac Miller’s passing left a blank space in many our hearts.  With his most recent album, Swimming, still so close in our memories, we are left wondering how the ever-evolving artist would have switched up his vibe on the next project. Unfortunately, we may never know but according to Cole Bennett, he had spoken to Mac about his wish to collaborate with Juice WRLD.

Juice spoke about Mac in a new interview with No Jumper’s Adam22, referring to him as a legend. Miller may not have publicly stated his interest in working with Juice but he was notably reserved over the last year. Bennett, the famed videographer, said that his intention to make music with Juice was one the final things he ever told him, noting that it may still happen. Of course, Mac was in the studio a lot and has some verses that have gone unreleased. If his estate agrees to any posthumous releases, we may be hearing a collaboration between the two. Bennett tweeted, “gotta make it happen,” keeping the hope alive.

Jimmy Wopo's Unheard Music To Be Released Posthumously

Last week, the world lost two hip-hop’s rising stars, XXXTentacion and Jimmy Wopo. Much has been talked about regarding X’s death, and the future his legacy, already but there’s some comforting news for Wopo’s fans following his tragic death.

Wopo’s manager, Taylor Maglin, uploaded a photo, taken from the candlelight vigil honoring Wopo. The vigil, which took place in his hometown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, had his name spelt out in tea candles, surrounded by his family, his loved ones, and his fans. The caption the post payed respect to Wopo and his impact on the world.

Last nights Candlelight Vigil for Wopo was incredible, a positive event and it really showed just how many lives his music impacted,” it said.

That wasn’t the only thing it said, however. The post also mentions that they have access to a lot Wopo’s unreleased music, and that we’ll be hearing it in due time.

He will be missed by so many but just know we have a ton Wopo’s music that we plan to release in the near future. Through all us his memory will continue to live on??,” Maglin wrote.

Wopo was one Pittsburgh’s most promising new acts, and it’s a shame he never got to see it through to his full potential. The news that he had signed to Taylor Gang before his death only exemplifies that. Hopefully we’ll be able to hear new music from him soon, in order to help carry on his legacy.
