Grizzlies "City Edition" Uniform Honors Memphis' Ties To Pro Wrestling

The Memphis Grizzlies will debut their new Nike “City Edition” uniform this Saturday, November 10 after they host the Philadelphia 76ers within the first six “Wrestling Nights” on the FedExForum.

The gray “Main Event” uniform serves as a nod to the town’s ties to pressional wrestling which dates again to a time properly earlier than the Grizzlies moved from Vancouver to Memphis. The gray design is impressed by metal chairs and cages, whereas the gold accents symbolize championship belts. Another delicate element are the Three “Beale Street Blue” stripes (one on the collar and two on the waist) which are impressed by the three ropes that encircle a wrestling ring.

The press launch states:

The Grizzlies will host a complete six Wrestling Nights this season with a number of fan giveaways, together with a March 23 matchup towards the Minnesota Timberwolves, by which the primary 5,000 followers in attendance will obtain a Grizzlies World Championship Belt.
