NFL 2019 Pro Bowl Rosters, Snubs Revealed

His rookie year will be a lucrative one, as ESPN reports that Barkley signed a four-year, $31.2 million rookie contract on Sunday (July 22). All first round rookie contracts are guaranteed. The deal features an immediate payout $15 million, a hefty perk that was negotiated by Roc Nation agent Kim Miale.

Based on the contract, Barkley is now one the top-paid running backs in the league with an average nearly $8 million per season. Le’Veon Bell, Devonta Freeman, and LeSean McCoy are the only running backs who average more. Along with endorsement deals, Barkley will be bringing home a cool $21 million this year, making him the highest paid running back for the 2018 season (so far). The 21-year-old rookie is thinking smart, and has already revealed that he will be following in Marshawn Lynch’s footsteps by only spending his endorsement money. “Once I realized when I declared for the NFL draft and kind realized where I was going to be drafted, that was something I was like, ‘You know what? Kind want to follow the Marshawn Lynch method,” Barkey stated. “I don’t want to touch that. I want to invest it, put it in the right peoples’ hands and learn as I continue to make investments. And just live f the endorsement deals.'” 

Saquon Barkley Buys Parents New Home With Rookie Contract

New York Giants rookie running back Saquon Barkley is quickly becoming a fan favorite, if not for his on-field talents then for his generosity f the field.

Barkley, 21, recently took to instagram to show f his parents’ new home, which he paid for after being selected second overall by the Giants in the 2018 NFL Draft in April. In addition to making it to the league, Barkley says that buying his parents their dream house has always been a goal his.

He captioned the IG post, “Something I promised my parents, ever since I was a young kid. Finally be able to achieve that goal is the most amazing feeling. Every kid out there that has a dream continue to keep your head down and work your butt f, great things will come along the way.”

Just days before the draft, Barkley took to instagram with a heartfelt message following the birth his daughter, further showcasing why he’s such an easy guy to root for. He wrote, “Words can’t even describe how I feel right now. You are the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen in my life. Thank God for blessing me with you in my life and into my arms. I pray that I can be the best father to you and help you grow into an amazing woman.”

Barkley and his fellow rookie teammates will report to Giants training camp on July 22, a couple days before the vets show up. The Giants will kick f the NFL regular season at home against the Jacksonville Jaguars on September 9.
