Rihanna & Her Brother Get Personalized Jerseys At Italian Football Game

Rihanna is currently in Italy for specific reasons unknown and called on her brother to attend a Juventus versus Atletico Madrid game at Allianz Stadium in Turin. Rihanna’s attendance to any given event can never go unnoticed and the organization gifted Rihanna and her brother with customized jerseys – one reading “Riri” while the other reads “Fenty,” the siblings legal last name.

Rihanna’s attendance to the sporting event comes just a couple weeks after the “Needed Me” singer sent out a message on Instagram apologizing for her MIA ways. “To all my friends/family/coworkers who I have yet to get back to in the past months…please forgive me. this year has been quite an overwhelming one, and I’m working on that ish called Balance. brb,” she wrote.

As for her upcoming album that we’re all (not so) patiently waiting for, Rihanna previously told Vogue that it will echo her Caribbean roots. “It’s not gonna be typical what you know as reggae. But you’re going to feel the elements in all the tracks,” she said. “Reggae always feels right to me. It’s in my blood. It doesn’t matter how far or long removed I am from that culture, or my environment that I grew up in; it never leaves.

KXNG Crooked & Bronze Nazareth Prep ‘Gravitas’ LP With ‘I Can Still Remember’ Single

KXNG Crooked and Wu-Tang Clan affiliate Bronze Nazareth have announced their new collaborative project Gravitas, which is expected to arrive on December 13  Fat Beats/Holy Toledo Productions.

Ahead of the release, the duo has dropped off a single from the project called “I Can Still Remember.”

“I could try to think of something deep to say about the album or I could think of something really fly to say about it, but the realest thing I can tell you is — just listen to it,” Crooked tells HipHopDX. “It speaks for itself.”

The upcoming album boasts several notable artists, including RZA, Ghostface Killah, DMX, Snoop Dogg, Royce Da 5’9, Hus Kingpin, LA The Darkman, Planet Asia, Killah Priest, Bishop Lamont, Benny the Butcher and .38 Spesh, among others.

“I believe true artists like Crook put it all on the track, meaning they show you who they are,” Bronze says. “There’s artists that people feel like they know because they lay it all out in the music. I felt his music to that extent.

“A year or two after we met, I ended up on the 2077 Tour as support for Crook and we’ve been cool since. The importance of this project is simple to me — great bars and great production. I and countless others regard him as one of the greats. I’d put Crook up against anybody — bar-for-bar, double entendres, word play, flow patterns, feel. Bruh has it all.”

Gravitas merch, CD, cassette, digital and more are available for pre-order here.

Kevin’s latest updates to his Instagram Story sees him sending a message to DJ Battlecat, Dr. Dre and Kanye West asking for a spot on Kanye’s upcoming album. As we know, yesterday it was announced that Dre would be working on the tape and it’s clear Kevin has some FOMO.

I’m tryna get on the Jesus Is King. Kanye West, Dr. Dre is involved.” Kevin continues to explain how Battlecat has a lot influence on him. “Make the introduction, I wanna be on Jesus Is King.”

Royce Da 5’9’s Production Skills Shine In "Making Of Black Savage" Doc

Today marks the arrival a brand new Royce Da 5’9″ single, the stacked posse cut “Black Savage.” In honor the Cyhi The Prynce & T.I.-assited drop, Royce has delivered a detailed Making-Of documentary titled The Process.  Kicking f with a behind-the-scenes look at Royce’s studio setup, which includes an epic picture XXL’s “Shady 2.0 Boys” cover, Royce paces while the instrumental plays. As the chorus rolls around, Royce’s inner producer comes out as he explains his vision to the engineer.

“This record in particular, I don’t want to use the word difficult,” explains the Detroit legend. “It was a challenge. I’ve never made beats before. I was a member Slaughterhouse, and I was the one responsible for other parts the song, other than my verse. Crooked really likes the way I hear things – like ‘yo, have Royce touch my vocals.” He reveals that he’s been practicing on Pro Tools for a minute now, learning a few beat-making tricks from the homie Mr. Porter. Speaking with Hopsin, who appears to be sitting in on the studio session, Royce teases that he’ll be producing his upcoming album in full.

It got to the point where Royce was surprising his longtime collaborator Six July, who praises Royce’s beat-making acumen. Yet Royce recognizes his limitations, praising his collaborators Six July, Porter, DJ Premier and Bink as being constant sources inspiration. “You don’t start making beats as an adult and become better than these guys,” he says. “I don’t even aspire to be that. It wasn’t like I’m competing with something. I just wanted it to feel right.”

And that’s only episode one. Episode two finds Royce and his team dealing with an artist’s bane: sample clearance. Kicking f on a somber note, Royce gets a call explaining that things aren’t exactly smooth sailing on that particular front. Revealing that the song was part the Jay-Z led Roc Nation NFL initiative, Royce found himself facing an important deadline. Presented with the challenge remaking the beat without the original sample, Royce assembled the brain trust for some clutch last-minute creation. It’s crazy to see how far Royce has come, and we can only hope he continues to deliver these documentary-style glimpses into his process. Be sure to peep that “Black Savage” song right now, and check out both episodes below.

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie is busy readying his upcoming album Artist 2.0. The highly anticipated project is expected to push A Boogie even further into the stratosphere success. “That should never, ever be normal,” Rihanna said when asked about her reactions to the recent El Paso and Dayton attacks. “And the fact that it’s classified as something different because the color their skin? It’s a slap in the face. It’s completely racist . . . Put an Arab man with that same weapon in that same Walmart and there is no way that Trump would sit there and address it publicly as a mental health problem. NHL Announces a Major Two-Year Partnership With Green Day

The National Hockey League (NHL) recently signed Green Day to a two-year partnership that will see the legendary California punk-rock trio provide their music to NHL games and programming.

“Fire, Ready, Aim,” a song from Green Day’s upcoming album, Father of All…, will be used as Wednesday Night Hockey‘s opening track beginning on October 9th. The song will also be utilized during this season’s NHL on NBC games. Plus, other songs from Father of All… will be featured in NHL promos, commercials, and replays.

And as if all that wasn’t awesome enough for Green Day (and/or NHL) fans, the band has also agreed to perform at the 2020 NHL All-Star Game, which will take place on January 25th.

In a statement, the NHL’s Chief Content Officer and Executive Vice President, Steve Mayer, said, “Green Day is the perfect band for the NHL,” and Green Day said (also statement), “This NHL season is hereby known as LOUD season.”

A short video announcement of the NHL-Green Day agreement can be viewed here.

Aside from lending their high-octane music to the NHL, Green Day is recording a new album and preparing to embark on the Hella Mega Tour, a stadium tour that will also feature Weezer and Fall Out Boy.

The 46-show concert series will visit 22 countries between March and August 2020.

In a testament to the tour’s significance, all three of the involved bands have announced new albums, which will presumably boast hard-rocking songs that are well-suited for play in stadiums.  Father of All, Green Day’s 13th album, will drop on February 7th, 2020; Weezer’s Van Weezer will release on May 15th, 2020; and Fall Out Boy’s Greatest Hits: Believers Never Die – Volume Two will be available on November 19th of this year.

Green Day is widely considered to be one of the greatest punk-rock bands of all time. The three-piece group, comprised of Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tre Cool, has sold more than 85 million records.  They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015.
