Drake Is Stoked On His Rising Hoop Skills: Watch

We’ve all heard the tales – Drake laying a cement board in his yard to be able to entice NBA gamers for one-on-one choose up video games. We know Drake is die-hard Raptors fan, a supporter the Kentucky Wildcats on the collegiate stage, and by no means one to draw back from the WNBA sorority (as he sees match). As for his on-court potential, the choose NBA expertise who confirmed up on his terrace had been seemingly sworn to secrecy, leaving us with the harrowing reminiscence “airball diffusion” – from that one time he partook in a Kentucky Wildcats’ warm-up session.

A prideful Drake knew that cease the psychological picture his errant shot from taking priority, he must put in hours on the court docket. So what has Drake executed up to now four years to appropriate his shoddy basketball mechanics? The reply is obvious to those that perceive his psyche, and what references he has at his disposal.

Fast ahead to 2019, and Drake’s on-court persona is a shadow his taking part in potential. In this “hoop mixtape” uploaded half-a-day in the past, Drake shows stark enhancements throughout a number of classes, specifically in his shot dispersal, mechanics, dribble separation, footwork, and his potential to “catch and shoot” the ball with a defender on his heels.

As spectacular as that may sound, his improved skillset won’t translate to an in-game scenario, even with a coaching making use of unyielding stress, because the video reel appears to display. But with that mentioned, if given a re-do warm-up session with Kentucky, there isn’t any doubt in my thoughts Drake would make come out within the clear. Hard work and all of the sources within the World = some sort great.

WNBA All-Star Cappie Poindexter: "Pay Me What I Deserve"

Cappie Poindexter has been playing in the WNBA for 13 years and has been an all-star seven times, yet she only makes $113,000 a year. For the average person, the salary isn’t bad, but when you compare it to what comparable players in the NBA make, it’s absurd. Kevin Durant has made the NBA all-star game eight times and he makes $26.54 million a year. That’s 234 times what Poindexter makes.

Sure, there are some finance differences between the two leagues (the WNBA’s revenue is ” likely much higher than $52.4 million” but nowhere near the NBA’s $7.4 billion), so although the pay won’t be able to be equal, the current disparity is unheard . Poindexter was rcently interviewed by TMZ, to whom she explained the situation, saying “it’s just getting out line now.” She also said that players “have to go to Europe for six months to make six figures and that’s not cool” (a statement that should be taken outside the context most peoples’ lives). When asked about the possibility a WNBA lockout Pondexter said, “I’m down for it,” adding that if other are in too, “I’m all about it.”

Poindexter finished with a simply put conclusion: “they should pay me what I deserve, man! 13 years!” watch the full video below:

Lil Wayne Signs Mississippi State Guard Victoria Vivians To Young Money Sports

Lil Wayne’s Young Money APAA Sports & Entertainment has been picking up some real talent lately. First they draft one the top running backs in the upcoming NFL draft, and now they’ve nabbed another potential draft front runner: Victoria Vins, a guard that helped her team, the Mississippi State Bulldogs, to the championship round the most recent NCAA Women’s basketball tournament.

Wayne took to Instagram for the announcement, writing, “Welkome to the fam @victoriavins!!Y’all go follow her and show her love!!#VinsVoyage2TheWNBA #V3 #YoungMoneyAPAA.” Victoria was also very excited about the announcement, writing in her own post, “#KeepWatching we’re about to make history together! Face Young Money APAA Sports and Entertainment Women’s Basketball Division!”

That’s quite a honor for a player fresh out university, but Vins looks ready to prove herself worthy. The announcement comes just two days before the upcoming 2018 WNBA draft, where Vins could potentially be a first round pick. While analysts are expecting South Carolina’s A’Ja Wilson to be the first pick, Vins size and shooting ability could make her a valuable prospect for some teams.

Young Money Sports seems to be expanding rapidly, with boxers, football players, and now a representative for women’s basketball. It remains to be seen how Wayne’s new pick ups will perform in the draft, and even still in the league, but there aren’t too many rappers out there who can say that they have their own sports roster. Check out the announcements from both Wayne and Vins down below:
