Back in December Tommy Hilfiger revealed that he was interested in working with Lizzo. Now, the breakout pop star has confirmed that Hilfiger did in fact reach out, and she’s already set her sight on her signature item with the iconic designer: thongs.
It was on Sunday that TMZ caught up with the singer the day after she took home the prize for Entertainer the year at the NAACP Awards. They prompted her on Hilfiger’s past statement as she confirmed that he get in touch. While she wasn’t too wordy on what they discussed she expressed that she’d be interested in working on a line the cheeky undergarments that have colored her public persona.
Prominently, December also marked the time when Lizzo sported a cutout dress courtside at a Lakers game that showed f her assets clad in nothing but a black thong. She caused a stir when she proceeded to twerk when the jumbotron’s focus was on her at the time.
Tommy Hilfiger is certainly no stranger to creating iconic and inclusive styles in the digital age. Most memorably, he teamed up with Zendaya to create a line in extended sizes and lengths to accommodate both plus-sized and tall women. Time will tell what actualizes, if anything, from a Lizzo spark.
Following Shakira and Jennifer Lopez‘s Super Bowl halftime performance, Ohio preacher Dave Baubenmire issued a statement in which he threatened legal action against the NFL all over the pairing’s appearance onstage. He would describe it as a “strip club performance” that contributed “to the delinquency a minor.”

His sentiments represented a percentage viewers who found J-Lo and Shakira’s performance to be suggestive and in contrast to the “family-friendly” nature the Super Bowl. Now, a week removed from the memorable appearance, Lopez has responded to critics her performance.
“I think that’s honestly silliness,” Lopez tells Variety. “Both us are really respectful performers who are moms and have kids and are very conscious what we do. We (put on) a show that I believe was a celebration women and our Latino culture that I think was really well reserved.”
Notably, Jennifer was joined onstage with her daughter and a multicultural children’s choir while the entire performance echoed the two singer’s Latin roots.
“That small faction people who want to be negative about it, I can’t even let in,” Lopez added. “The message standing up for yourself, being a women — that’s what I want to pass on to little girls — everything about you — be proud it. I’m very proud the performance that night.”

Puma Curry, Erykah’s 15-year-old doppelgänger, starts it all f. Badu comes in next, looking absolutely stunning at 48 years old, followed by her equally stunning 70-year-old mom, Kolleen Maria Gipson, and finally the “maternal matriarch” herself, 92-year-old Ms. Thelma Gipson, ends things f with a stunning finish. Each lady proves that, not only is Black absolutely beautiful, but it also doesn’t crack in the least bit. That Baduizm is working wonders for these women!

Marvel’s President Kevin Fiege hasn’t even shared too many details on the anticipated film but he did drop a hint at a Comic-Con back in July. “We didn’t even mention that we’re making Black Panther 2 and we didn’t mention that Guardians the Galaxy 3 is coming,” he said. “We didn’t even have time to talk about Captain Marvel 2, by the way. I didn’t even have time to talk about The Fantastic Four. And there’s no time left to talk about mutants.” Samuel L. Jackson also stars in the film set to arrive in 2022.

Gabrielle Union has added herself to the growing list public voices, speaking out in favor d Durboah Dugan, the Recording Academy CEO who was mos recently ousted from the organization. Less than two weeks away fromtehGrammys, theBoard Trustees announced that they placed Dugan on administrative leave following reported finds misconduct.
New reports, however, alleged that Dugan was actually kicked out the organization for sending out a memo that challenged issues that included alleged misuse duns, voting irregularities, and conflicts interest within the Academy.
“Coulda sworn this is the same board that told women to ‘step up,’” Union most recently tweeted. “Clearly what they really meant was stand down, turn a blind eye to problems, or be fired. #DeborahDugan truly stepped up & tried to make necessary changes & was shown the door. Been there, done that, got fired too.”
Her “step up” reference connects back to the controversial comments made by former Recording Academy CEO Neil Portnow who suggested that female artists “step up” if they expected to win more awards after calls for inclusivity.
Through a statement, Dugan also made an allusion to the line, vowing to uncover what really took place when she is legally able to do so.
“What has been reported is not nearly the story that needs to be told,” said Dugan. “When our ability to speak is not restrained by a 28-page contract and legal threats, we will expose what happens when you ‘step up’ at the Recording Academy, a public nonprit.:
With Daniel Craig stepping down from his role as James Bond, producers are searching for someone to take his place. While no one has been chosen, producer Barbara Broccoli says the role will definitely be given to a man.

“He can be any color, but he is male,” Broccoli said, according to IndieWire. “I believe we should be creating new characters for women—strong female characters. I’m not particularly interested in taking a male character and having a woman play it. I think women are far more interesting than that.”
Eva Green, who played Vesper Lynd in Casino Royale, has expressed similar sentiments in the past: “I’m for women, but I really think James Bond should remain a man. It doesn’t make sense for him to be a woman. Women can play different types characters, be in action movies and be superheroes, but James Bond should always be a man and not be Jane Bond. There is history with the character that should continue. He should be played by a man.”
Rachel Weisz, who is married to Craig, has also agreed: “Why not create your own story rather than jumping on to the shoulders and being compared to all those other male predecessors? Women are really fascinating and interesting and should get their own stories.”
The newest Bond film, No Time to Die, is set to release on April 10, 2020.

As for certain political leaders in the world now, Barack noted how the role is not for older men to continue for life. “If you look at the world and look at the problems it’s usually old people, usually old men, not getting out the way,” he explained. “It is important for political leaders to try and remind themselves that you are there to do a job, but you are not there for life, you are not there in order to prop up your own sense self-importance or your own power.”

Most recently, he had Hillary Clinton on his show where he covered an array topics, including her love life. She opened up about her relationship prior to Bill Clinton, describing the man as a Greek deity. “He was really handsome. He was like a Greek god,” she told Stern. “Really? Greek God? Listen to you,” Stern responded but this ultimately opened the door for a discussion regarding her uality.
“Well contrary to what you may hear, I actually like men,” she told Stern before he actually pressed her on whether she ever had a “lesbian affair.” “That’s the other thing,” he began. “Raise your right hand—you’ve never had a lesbian affair.”
“Never! Never! Never! Never even been tempted,” she fired back in response to Stern.

Gabrielle Union and NBC met for five hours today to discuss her from America’s Got Talent, which Union described as “productive.”
In a Twitter post after the meeting Union wrote, “We had a lengthy 5-hour, and what I thought to be, productive meeting. I was able to, again, express my unfiltered truth. I led with transparency and my desire and hope for real change.”
NBC also issued a statement in regards to the meeting with Union, in which they largely echoed her sentiments. They said, “The initial conversation was candid and productive. While there will be a further investigation to get a deeper understanding of the facts, we are working with Gabrielle to come to a positive resolution.”
On November 22, it was announced that neither Union nor actress Julianne Hough would be coming back for what will be the show’s 15th season. But it was not until Thanksgiving weekend that their dismissal became controversial, when it was reported that the women’s firing was related to a toxic working atmosphere on the show.
Since then, many have come out in support of Union. First, SAG-AFTRA that they were launching an official investigation of the matter.
Now, others are coming out in support of Union.
Both Howard Stern and Sharon Osbourne, who were once judges on the show, have spoken out against what they termed a “boy’s club” atmosphere that exists on the show, which they blamed on executive producer Simon Cowell.
Tina Tchen, who is the president and CEO of Time’s Up — which is an organization formed in conjunction with the #MeToo movement — has also come to Union’s defense. She said, “Not only did Union reportedly endure and witness racist and inappropriate behavior — including racially-insensitive comments and excessive criticism about her physical appearance — but it also appears she was punished for speaking out.”
Tchen further issued a petition that urges NBC “to take Union’s allegations seriously.”
An interview that Judge Joe Brown sat down for earlier this month has ruffled a few feathers. The famed television judge chatted with controversial culture commentator Dr. Umar Johnson and during their conversation the topic historical icon Harriet Tubman was brought up. The two talked about the possibilities Tubman’s portrait being included on the U.S.’s $20 bill, a move that Brown says “downs masculinity.”
David Livingston/Getty s
According to Brown, the recent film Harriet was a ploy by the feminist agenda to propagate support for Tubman’s inclusion on the bill. “This movie is to sten the public up to the idea taking a black woman who freed slaves by leading them to freedom and getting her or another one like her on a $20 bill. They can’t get a white woman, so they want a black woman. They don’t care, they just want a woman, and it downs masculinity.”
“The status an ethnic group is determined by its men, not its women, and putting a black woman on there before a black man is insulting to the black race because you’re saying the men ain’t worth a damn when] you put a woman up there first.”
He also had a bit to say about feminists, stating “They can go straight to hell, and I know they hate themselves ’cause they got two X chromosomes instead an XY. They are fraudulent, self-hating, and they’re sick.”
After his comments surfaced and he was met with backlash, Brown stood firm on his remarks. “I respect Black Women immensely, I’m prepared to die for them,” he tweeted. “However, our race has been kept in line by the suppression its men.” Listen to his chat and read a few more tweets from the judge below.
