WWE 2K19 Soundtrack Revealed: Eminem, Migos, Metallica & More

Last week, WWE 2K19 unleashed the first gameplay trailer and the expansive list playable characters, which includes nearly 200 current and former WWE superstars. With roughly three weeks to go until the game releases, WWE 2K19 has today revealed the soundtrack for the much anticipated video game.

While some WWE 2K’s past soundtracks were curated by the likes Diddy and The Rock, WWE 2K19’s playlist is the product the wrestling superstars themselves. The 12 song selections – chosen by stars such as Daniel Bryan, Alexa Bliss, AJ Styles and Charlotte Flair – span across multiple genres, including hard rock, hip hop and alternative, among others.

The WWE 2K19 soundtrack will include:

  • “Passion” by AWOLNATION (chosen by Daniel Bryan)
  • “Skin” by Bullet for My Valentine (chosen by The Miz)
  • “Survival” by Eminem (chosen by AJ Styles)
  • “Champion” by Fall Out Boy (chosen by Alexa Bliss)
  • “Spit Out the Bone” by Metallica (chosen by Triple H)
  • “Work Hard” by Migos” wsc-lang=”en_US”>Migos (chosen by Samoa Joe)
  • Ric Flair Drip” by Offset & Metro Boomin (chosen by Ric Flair & Charlotte Flair)
  • rockstar” by Post Malone featuring 21 Savage (chosen by Elias)
  • “The 11th Hour” by Rancid (chosen by Sami Zayn)
  • “DEVIL” by Shinedown (chosen by Baron Corbin)
  • “Override” by Slipknot (chosen by Seth Rollins)

The soundtrack is available now for streaming on Apple Music at: http://apple.co/wwe2k19. The game itself is scheduled for worldwide release on Tuesday, October 9.

New WWE 2K19 Gameplay Trailer Revealed

WWE 2K19 has already revealed that nearly 200 WWE superstars will be available as playable characters in the upcoming game, including NXT stars like Adam Cole and Velveteen Dream, as well as legends like “Macho Man” Randy Savage, The Rock and Vader. Today, WWE 2K19 has unleashed the newest trailer which showcases a handful  those stars, as well as what appears to be several new game modes and matches.

The 2K19 standard edition, featuring WWE champion AJ Styles on the cover, will release on all platforms on October 9. WWE icon “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair will also be honored as part the upcoming WWE 2K19 video game with a specially branded “Wooooo! Edition.” Fans who upgrade to Flair’s “Woooo! Edition” will receive Early Access and play on October 5th, four days before the game actually drops.

WWE 2K19 Full Roster Of Playable Characters Revealed

2K Sports recently revealed another batch WWE legends that will be featured in the upcoming WWE 2K19 video, bringing the total roster to almost 200 playable characters. According to Gamespot, it’s one the largest rosters for the series to date.

Among the former superstars that will be available: Mr Perfect, Ted DiBiase, Bret “Hitman” Hart, Eddie Guerrero, Jake “The Snake” Roberts, Lex Luger, “Macho Man” Randy Savage, Shawn Michaels, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, The Rock, The Undertaker and Vader.

WWE 2K19 Showcase Mode Features Daniel Bryan's Comeback

2K Games has announced that WWE superstar Daniel Bryan will be the focal point WWE 2K19’s Showcase Mode, which features Bryan narrating his own life story as players progress through the mode. 

The WWE 2K Showcase, which hasn’t been utilized since WWE 2K16, is a story-driven, single-player mode that covers a particular era or rivalry a WWE Superstar, and includes historic WWE footage that gives context and backstory to the objective-based matches. Completing objectives triggers mid-match cinematic cutscenes that allow games to recreate iconic moments, and also unlocks special arenas, Superstars, attires and championship belts.

According to today’s press release, the “Return Daniel Bryan” Showcase will include 11 historical matches and a bonus or “surprise” match, for a total 12 Daniel Bryan-centric bouts. These matches include Bryan’s first WWE match, when he was going by his real name Bryan Danielson, against John Cena, and his run at Wrestlemania XXX in New Orleans. Since the mode spans the course Bryan’s WWE career to date, there will be 11 different models him, each equipped with different move sets and unique appearances. Additionally, there will be eight new entrances for Bryan and 11 victory scenes.

Bryan had walked away from the WWE in February 2016 due to a neck injury, but was later cleared to return to WWE in-ring competition in March. He is set to take on his longtime rival The Miz at SummerSlam this Sunday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

WWE 2K19 Announces "Million Dollar Tower" Gameplay Mode

WWE has today revealed details about the new “Towers Mode” in WWE 2K19, in which gamers choose WWE Superstars or their MyPLAYERs to compete against a string WWE superstar opponents. Each Tower features its own unique theme and is populated by a roster WWE Superstars across a variety challenging matches, including different win conditions and fun stipulations.

Among the various challenges and stipulations in Towers Mode is the AJ Styles Million Dollar Tower, which features a collection some WWE’s toughest superstars, who have been set at higher difficulties. To make things more difficult, a player’s health does not regenerate in between matches. Through the AJ Style Million Dollar Tower, fans in participating countries will have an opportunity to win one million dollars by defeating AJ Styles in WWE 2K19 in a one-on-one match. 

Here’s how it works:

  • Step One: Beat the AJ Styles Million Dollar Tower in WWE 2K19 while playing the game on either PlayStation 4 or Xbox One;
  • Step Two: Record yourself cutting a promo video on why you have what it takes to beat AJ Styles in WWE 2K19. The video must include visual pro the completed AJ Styles Million Dollar Tower screen to confirm you earned the in-game achievement;
  • Step Three: Visit 2k.com/milliondollarchallenge to submit your promo video!

Four finalists will be selected and flown to WrestleMania 35 weekend, where they will compete against one another in a WWE 2K19 mini-tournament. The winner that tournament will then face AJ Styles one-on-one in the grand finale for a shot at one million dollars.

WWE 2K19 Releasing "Wooooo! Edition" In Honor Of Ric Flair

WWE icon “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair will be honored as part the upcoming WWE 2K19 video game with a specially branded “Wooooo! Edition.” 2K Sports made the announcement today, revealing that fans who upgrade to Flair’s “Woooo! Edition” will receive Early Access and play on October 5th, four days before the game actually drops.

Additionally, the Wooooo! Edition includes the WWE 2K19 Deluxe Edition video game, premium packaging, access to the WWE 2K19 Season Pass and Wooooo! Edition bonus digital content, exclusive and rare physical collectibles, Rey Mysterio and Ronda Rousey playable characters, as well as Limited Edition WWE SuperCard content.

The game itself will be released worldwide on Tuesday, October 9th for Xbox One, PS4 and Windows PC. 

WWE 2K19: Ronda Rousey Announced As A Pre-Order Bonus

During last night’s edition WWE Monday Night Raw, WWE 2K19 unleashed a brand new trailer featuring the arrival  “The Baddest Woman on the Planet,” Ronda Rousey. 

The ad, which features a voice over from the late Rowdy Roddy Piper, reveals that Rousey will only be available in WWE 2K19 for those who pre-order first, either from Best Buy, GameStop, or the 2K Store. According to reports, it is expected that Rousey will eventually be available to everyone but at first she’ll only be on the active roster for those who pre-oder. 

In addition to Rousey, wrestling legend Rey Mysterio has also been named as a pre-order exclusive. Check out the latest teaser trailer in the video embedded below.

WWE champion AJ Styles has already been announced as the cover athlete for WWE 2K19, which will be released worldwide on Tuesday, October 9th for Xbox One, PS4 and Windows PC.

In addition to landing the cover, The Phenomenal One also announced a “WWE 2K19 Million Dollar Challenge” sweepstakes that is available for gamers on PS4 and Xbox One. Gamers who beat a specific game mode and send in a video showing them defeating AJ Styles in the game will be eligible to enter a four person tournament, with the winner going head-to-head with the man himself for $1 million.

Other details regarding WWE 2K19 will be revealed in the near future, but we do know there are two “premium” editions:

WWE 2K19 Deluxe Edition: contains a copy the game with special packaging and access to Season Pass, Pre-Order and Collector’s Edition digital content.

WWE 2K19 Collector’s Edition: contains the same features as the Deluxe Edition plus exclusive and rare collectibles, as well as limited-edition WWE SuperCard content.

Says Styles, “As a hardcore gamer and ambassador everything it means to ‘Never Say Never’ in both my pressional and personal life, it is a dream come true to be selected as the WWE 2K19 cover Superstar.”

The game will be released worldwide on Tuesday, October 9th for Xbox One, PS4 and Windows PC.
